This works, you need to use it in a smart way and correctly!!! – For everyone saying they sprayed it on their cats, this is a strong pesticidal spray, i wouldn't spray it directly on my cat anyway.. What I did was treat my cat with advantage which seemed to help but my cat only comes in to sleep so not all fleas jumped on and died.. until i bought Flea ban Spray for killing adult fleas and the Flea ban spray… Read more

specifically for carpet which stops the flea eggs from hatching.. After applying this to my room and spraying basically everything with both bottles, i hadn't seen or been bitten by a flea yet... THIS STUFF WORKS WHEN USED ON THE ENVIRONMENT...

KEEP AWAY – Finally this product is being removed from shelves!!! Owners of the product should be forced to compensate everyone for the deaths of their pets and their vet bills for treatment!! Pathetic!!

Horrible stuff, does not work, expensive and a complete waste of money! – Thankfully I never used this stuff on my cats, but did use it on my dog a while back. Did absolutely nothing. In fact, I think it actually acted as an attractant to fleas rather than a repellent??? Ended up opening up the bottle and tipping it down the drain, when I realised that it didn't work. Got a hold of non-toxic pyrethrum spray (and… Read more

shampoo) for cats and dogs which got rid of the initial flea infestation on my pets and around the house and then went online and bought advantage spot on for dogs and cats. Having been using this particular product ever since and haven't had a single flea infestation since that time. I would seriously recommend that NO PET OWNERS use this product EVER. Read the reviews!!! Don't go near the stuff!

Terrible! AVOID THIS PRODUCT! – My beloved cat is now under emergency observation after displaying similar symtoms to those described by others here: Frothing at the mouth and extreme distress. Count me in for a class action lawsuit against the monsters who have let this product remain on shelves!

Great product – Excellent value. Easy to use. Effective. Good price. I have tried every liquid, tablet and concoction, spending hundreds of $$$$$’s, and this is the only one that works on my terrier for some reason. But where is it now??? I can’t find it in any store!

CAT MURDERERS – After using only a little bit on his back he was throfing and saliving from both sides of his mouth extremely bad. I thought he was going to die. I cleaned his face, washed him twice and gave him water. Thankfully I only sprayed a tiny bit of stuff onto him otherwise he would have been dead today. Don't use this product. This product should be banned.

Tried the house spray – Due to a recent flea problem hubby bought two products, Exelpet fleaban spray for dogs and cats and exelpet fleaban spray for home. After seeing a flea crawl on my chair last night, I decided to use the home spray on some of my furnishings. I read the instructions (they were very general and non specific) and proceeded to spray my cushions, chair… Read more

cushion and blanket that I have on my chair. I then left and shut the door. Minutes later I was talking to my kids when this HORRIBLE and unnerving feeling in my throats started to develop- it suddenly felt like something was caught in it and as much as I tried to cough to remove it, nothing happened, but I nearly threw up twice!!!! This experience led to me looking up side effects of the product which thankfully took me to these reviews- I feel amazingly grateful that we never used the other product on our beloved cat!!! I just feel for all the people who did. Both products are in the bin and I urge anyone who reads this to share this thread to other cat owners! I'm horrified and disgusted right now and still don't feel completely right within myself and I had quick and limited exposure with no direct contact- I hate to think how the animals felt!! :(

DO NOT USE ON CATS!!! – I used this product on my cat last night and thought I was going to lose her. Her mouth started to foam heavily and did for many hours. I am going to email them tomorrow and tell them what I think! I will boycott this brand for lack of warning and allowing such a product on the market.

Toxic to cats – Vets warn clients against using this due to the pyrethrins which are toxic to cats. Yet another cat has just been treated for this. I know of a number that didn't survive. Why is this product being sold with labelling that says it is suitable for cats when it clearly isn't? Very dangerous! DO NOT USE ON CATS

One very sick cat :( – I wish I had found this thread earlier. I bought this product today, followed the instructions and almost straight away my happy little cat became a sick, delusion froth ball. I've rinsed off as much as I could and tried to rub out the rest with a towel. Awful stuff. Glad to hear all your cats seem To have made a full recovery..

I sprayed my baby this morning following the instructions to the letter even then it has nearly killed her !!!! Horrible! Do not use! – We used the spray on our 2 cats as per the directions on the bottle - it specifically states "spray from a distance 15 - 30cm on animal".. yes, on animal. Our first cat we sprayed was fine but our second cat starting frothing at the mouth 1 minute after. I've since wiped her down with wet towel to remove the product and she's stopped frothing.… Read more

I'll be keeping an eye on her but seriously - why is this spray even made available?! I didn't even think to look at reviews since I purchased it from Coles thinking its not toxic.

Don't buy this spray! Even if our first cat was fine, our second had an entirely different reaction. It's not worth putting your feline friend through it!

This is pure poison to cats – Within seconds of spraying it on our cat, she started running around, leaping, and foaming at the mouth. We washed it off her quickly and finally, she calmed down. Most distressing to witness. This product should be banned. It will kill your pet! Do not use!

Two dead hens – On the 21st of December 2015, I used this product on my daughter's two beautiful and friendliest hens. In less than an hour my husband found one dead under a tree. The next one we tried frantically to wash her in baby shampoo, and lots of clean water but she also died. This product should be banned! My daughter is still missing her two babies that… Read more

DO NOT USE EXELKILL .. Find a natural solution – I wish I had of read the reviews prior to purchasing and using it on my beloved Daschund. We sprayed a small amount (less than the instructions indicated) and within 5 minutes she was stumbling around and frothing at the mouth. We immediately gave her charcoal tablets and rushed her to the vet. That was last night, she is still there now.

Warning!! Don't use – I sprayed it on my cat as the instructions directed. It did not once say to only spray on bedding it advised us to spray 12-15 inches away starting at the back and work your way to the front. My cat has experienced vomiting and foaming of the mouth. We have called the vet and they recommended to wash the cat, rinse mouth out and monitor the cat.… Read more

I will never use this product or brand on any of my animals.

Disgusting! – I, unfortunately used this product on my little girl's cat yesterday afternoon. He was foaming at the mouth and freaking out. I was freaking out! Coles and Exelpet seemed unconcerned and ought to be put to shame for selling a product they KNOW is poisoning our pets.

We were all worried sick! – My very expensive ragdoll started foaming at the mouth instantly, which lasted 10 minutes. He looked very sick after that so we just washed him down with wet towels and will have to keep an eye on him all night. Wish I had read these reviews before trying. Should be called Exterminate Pet Spray.

Read The Instructions – Instructions explicitly state use on bedding only. Not directly on animal. Most negative reviews said they sprayed their cats. Then people wonder why their cats got sick. This has more to do with user error than product problems.
