8 years trouble free – Has been trouble free for 8 years of almost daily use (4 kids in the family). Only problem is the rubber door seal went moldy early on and can't be cleaned, but it's only a cosmetic problem. There is a tiny bit of rust in the body under the door opening, due to the door rubbing on the paint. I touch it up occasionally. Now the main drum… Read more

bearings are rumbling, so I'll need to replace them, or buy a new machine. But I'm happy with 8 years of constant use, usually overloaded as my wife just jams stuff in until you can barely close the door.

Update: The bearings are molded into the drum, so you must replace the whole drum if your bearings fail. $350. That's obsolescence if ever there was. As a handy man I could have changed the bearings for $20, but I ended up having to buy a new machine.

Keeps on going – I thought I would write about our old washing machine (which we are about to replace), because it has done it's job. We wanted a relatively cheap machine, while we were moving locations quite a bit, and for the first five years or so it worked without a problem. The rubber seal did eventually "go", and at this price it wasn't worth repairing.… Read more

However, we've kept it going for another year by just using an industrial grade sealant. Overall, I think this is money well spent Simple, works

Only had this machine for 2 years – Only had this machine for 2 years and 5 mths and it has blown the motor, a very expensive repair. We are a couple with low laundry needs, so the machine is not heavily used. F&P have no compassion in regards their product, that is, stuff you mate, it's your problem. Never again will we buy a F&P product. Cheap and easy to run Bad customer service and short life span

Good – Was very happy with the quality of the wash - we wash nappies, so this is important - the options available including extra rinse and prewash allow you to tailor the cycle to suit the load you are washing. The time delay function is great as it lets you set the cycle to be ready to hang out when you get home or first thing in the morning. The… Read more

machine also does not shake the walls down like our previous westinghouse! Delayed wash, digital time display, number of options and quality of wash - we wash nappies, so this is impornant. None, working smoothly after 6 months of family loads and nappies.

Excellent – I have recently bought this item and am extremely happy with it! As I mentioned in the cons, the instruction manual is next to useless, but it is not too hard to work it all out for yourself. It is still early days, but I opted for the extended 5 year warrenty just in case... If you are in the market for a front loader, I would highly… Read more

recommend this one, as it has loads of features and settings and F&P are a somewhat reputable brand - I have owned a F&P toploader before and was happy with that too! Digital display, delay start, quick wash cycle Instruction manual is useless

Terrible – Would not recommend this brand at all. Just cannot beleive how much bad luck this was, if they were to act a little quicker it wouldn't be so much as a problem but to take 2 weeks to atampt to fix the problem in the 1st place was just not acceptable!! not the technicians fault, clearly F&P need to put on more technical staff and fit the vans with… Read more

more things so that technicians can fix problems straight away!! the first wash was ok broke down after 1st wash. took 2 weeks to fix, but after the technician left the machine was still not working. They delivered a totally new machine, which suprise, suprise is also not working. HAve asked for a refund which will take over a week as Fisher and Paykel only write cheque once a week, how convinient for them.
