Overall: We have never had any problems with this Fisher & Paykel dish washer. Fisher & Paykel make great dish washers. This model is good value and does what it's supposed to do - wash dishes. If you want something fancier, it will cost you more. This suits us great for the time being. I like buying a NZ brand.

Pros: Cheaper but not worth it. Spend an extra $150 and get a Blanco dwf5x instead.
Cons: Doesn't wash very well. Filter clogs too easily which requires cleaning every few days. Not for large families. Overpriced.
Overall: Fortunately Harvey Norman have been wonderful as this machine has a very useless filtration system if you even call it that. We have a large family so this machine kept cloggling up with debris even though I scraped and rinsed dishes as you would normally. So I exercised my consumer rights and complained to f&p and hn and I now have a lovely new blanco dwf5x which is better by miles. So I guess my story is u don't have to put up with a dodgy machine. Better still just stay clear of these machines. You may as well wash the dishes by hand because you will do a better job.
It also turns on or off too easily if you lean against it which is a bit annoying.
Return it if you are unhappy with its poor quality. Get your salesman to sort it out, mine was very helpful. I had minefor 6 months and thought i had to just put up with it. But don't. Very happy with my new Blanco. The difference is like chalk and cheese. Honestly don't buy the f&p it's not worth it. I'm a mum of four so I NEED a good dishwasher. This is NOT a good washer. But overall very happy with outcome. Did I mention the Blanco? It's fantastic. (see my other review) I hope this helps other mums out there. Cheers :)

Overall: The most frustrating appliance I have ever had. It has hardly been used. When I do try to use it all I get are flashing lights and nothing else. Have heard the electronic panels give in easily. I will quit while ahead and not pay for repairs but rather take it to the tip. Will never buy a Fisher and Paykel product ever again. Also have a fridge and that's not the best either

Overall: Much quieter than our previous Conia/Mistral Chinese unit. Washes well provided not fully packed but drying is woefull. Any moisture left on top of glasses, cups etc. from wash cycle remains. Pity.

Pros: Price , dries well , easy to use no useless extras.
Cons: Only have to brush past and the buttons turn on.
Overall: Never having a dishwasher before makes it a little difficult to compare. So here I go , this diswasher is a dream , any thing that cuts washing time is awesome. We have had no dramas with it for the 6 months that we have owned it and I am not sure if it is the Method Tablets that we use but it even dries the plastic containers really well, and we have a lot of them after 2 hungry kids lunches. Overall stuff like noise and length could annoy you if you had installed it in the lounge room but we put it in the kitchen and we don't notice it.

How do i get serial no dishwasher has been installed?
maxwell mcgarity asked on Dec 21, 2011
Mate it should be written on the door when you open it. Also try the book, the receipt, or ring the people you bought it from, they have should keep all that stuff.
Yes, Fisher & Paykel put their serial numbers on not so obvious or convenient places. Unfortunately mine is busy at the moment washing the Christmas Luncheon Feast dishes ready for the Christmas Dinner Feast! However, from memory I believe it is on the stainless steel skinny side part of the front door. And you may have to do a yoga pose to read it as mine is upside down!!!
