Not impressed – You'd think I'd learn my lesson after having two other F&P appliances that are not the best but no, I didn't, and here I am with a new F& P oven that is disappointing in its quality and functioning. Yes it looks great and fits the wall space well but that seems to be where the positives end. It takes forever to heat up and once heated I'm suspicious as to whether or not it's actually at the correct temperature because several foods that have been cooked perfectly in my previous oven at the same time/temp have come out of this oven undercooked or in the case of the lamb dish today, still cold in the centre despite the cooking instructions being followed to the letter. I find I have to either crank the temp up another 20 degrees or extend the cooking time by up to half an hour just to get the food cooked correctly. In addition to those problems why on earth does the cooling fan have to run for so long when I finish cooking? A few minutes I'd understand but it's usually over an hour. How inefficient and a huge waste of electricity and money. Hopefully I've well and truly learnt my lesson this time and this will be the last F&P appliance I ever purchase. In the meantime I'll just have to deal with the sub par quality until I can upgrade in a few years.

Love this oven – This oven makes a great roast chicken & veggies. Also good for cakes & muffins. Heats up quickly. Fan keeps going for a little while after using it tho, but it is great having the fan forced setting, cooks everything evenly & faster. I use the timer all the time. Love it!

Loving It – This was my first electric oven after years of cooking with gas and I’ve been very happy with it. Love having fan force options which I’ve never had before. Certainly don’t use all the cooking options as have to get manual out to be reminded what each one does and often can’t be bother with that. Cooks like a oven should and apart from a problem in the first month of owning it, where the fan failed and had to be replaced under warranty, its been smooth sailing.

Worst oven I have owned – I bought this oven a year ago, as it was very similar to the old F&F which needed replacing. I am an experienced baker and bread maker. Using tried and true recipes, I struggled baking cakes and making foccasia bread. The bread was almost burnt on the bottom and the top was dry and leathery, and it took longer than previously. I now make it with a heavy duty silicon tray liner and a jug of water in the oven. It is acceptable but not of the previous standard.

The cakes were very brown on the bottom sides and top., and take longer to cook. I have changed to a new lighter coloured tin, put an oven slide on the top shelf to protect the top from over browning and use a jug of water in the oven. Mostly, I can cook a good cake, but not always. I was too timid to attempt a rich Xmas cake this year.

I made sesame baked chicken with two trays using the multi fan. The chicken flesh was nicely cooked but the skin was dark and dried out. I now successfully cook this dish on bake and swap the trays for even cooking.

When I phoned customer service at the beginning I was asked if I had new bakeware, but was not told the significance of this question. The call centre person consulted a technical person regarding the bread, who came up with the idea that I was using the wrong flour! (My electric breadmaker had no problem with that batch of flour, and anyway you can feel if the dough is wrong.) I did not gain anything from the phone call.

I was advised that I could call out a F&P service person, but if there was nothing wrong I would be charged (I think) $120. Since I do not believe it to be a fault as such, but rather a bad product, I decided to save my money.

The oven does nice roast veges. It also does nice pastry if I protect the top part way through.

The oven is well insulated.

F&P Oven - Very disappointed! – Purchased new, didn't work. Have had three replacements all with the same issues. Can't set clock UNLESS you turn your oven on. After several hours alarm starts going off & oven shows cooking mode symbol. Knob needed glueing on as it kept falling off. F&P are saying it is not their problem because I have too much power coming into my household. Have had Ergon out to check and they say it is well within the range. Changing brands as I am well over F&P and the attitude of their recommended warranty repairers.
