Model DD60ST19 Fisher & Paykel (my second replacement) fully integrated single XL drawer- looks impressive - performance however not!!! As a 2 persons household, usage for general dishes only as stainless steel pots & Crystal always done by hand. Unit was installed by Fisher & Paykel team in Feb 2024. From onset the inside always has pooled… Read more

water on inside rim which was brushed off as condensation & told to use longer cycle however none of the cycles dried the interior & have to constantly wipe inside rim & drain cups etc on a tea towel. Just one week after 12 months expiry the circuitry went & luckily as good will gesture it was replaced free of charge as they found the component design to be faulty & upgraded it with new unit. As an Interior Designer my experience is there are better dishwasher at a much cheaper price however if its "Designer Look " then this model achieves that.

I bought this about three years ago for my single person household and it hasn't missed a beat. Pros: Fits most dishes, including large dinner plates and medium sized pots and pans. Cleans well, even when mixing e.g. glasses with saucepans, although I do use the heavy setting most times. Flexible enough internal configuration, and not too fussy… Read more

about stacking methods - things get clean even when not stacked perfectly. Mine's set just under the counter, and it's easy to stack without bending down to far. I scrape off left over food, but don't pre-rinse my dishes. No clogs yet. Fairly quiet to run. Cons: be careful when stacking that nothing pokes down beneath the stacking rack, as it's easy to block the spinning spray arms that way. That means watching where you put e.g. Tupperware lids, as they can move during washing. The soap tablet dispenser has been shaped to only take proprietary tablets and won't fit any others. You can put any tablet or pod in the cutlery basket instead though. Takes a long time to wash on the heavy setting, but that's the nature of it: with dishwashers you can either save water, or save time, but not both. F&P opted for water efficiency.

Good rack flexibility and able to stack tall glass and coffee cups above each. Surprisingly roomy inside and fits a lot. Washes well. Drying is average with water spots still on items. Medium cycle should be remarked as Normal. No manual supplied. The dishwasher is my 81 yo mother’s, so we had a rather unhelpful interaction with F&P where they… Read more

said they wouldn’t sent the missing user manual and we had to use the online version or print ourselves, try explaining poor customer to my mother who just wants to know how to use it. The wash is silent, most silent machine I’ve ever heard!

Poor quality dish washer - DON'T BUY – Dish Drawer DD60STI9 Intergrated. I had a bad experience with Fisher & Paykel dishdrawer previuosly to buying this one and against my better judgement we bought another. My parents have similar model and have also experienced problems with Fisher & Paykel dish drawer. The racks don't stay in place and are hard to remove to clean out filter Items… Read more

don’t always come out clean. I need to rinse most items and even then it doesn't always do a proper cleaning job. It now has 2 sensors that are faulty so dish drawer starts by itself even when empty and you can't stop cycle by knocking on door. Fisher & Paykel have limited 2 year warranty and won't budge on covering cost to repair product that costs twice as much as a traditional dishwasher. Other products like Beko offer a 5 year warranty.

Looks nice, but has some issues – I like the design and layout of this appliance, but it has some problems. Around one wash in ten, a child will place something that protrudes below the baskets and blocks the spinning wash arm from spinning. There is no sensor to alarm that the wash arm is not turning, and consequently we only discover it when the wash has finished, and nothing… Read more

is clean. It would be very easy to include this sensor in the appliance design. Also, the water waste pump impellor wore out after only two years. The repair guy said he changes them very frequently, and they are made of a light grade rubber that is clearly inadequate. Expect about $300 to replace the entire waste pump when this happens. It is also marketed as very quiet, but we find it annoyingly loud on the final fan dry part of the wash, and the 'stainless' front is more like a silver plastic, and gets permanent marks if cleaned with anything harder than a damp squib. I still like the thing, just think these issues should be addressed...

A few teething problems, but works now. F&P Customer service is ridiculously bad – Too bad if you need to contact F&P – there customer service is ridiculously bad. My unit, brand new, and either this model doesn’t clean properly or they have sent me a faulty unit or there is some other problem - trying to determine it was hard. When I asked their CS why the arm rattles, they said they will send out a technician (they pay for… Read more

it, $400) guess what the lovely technician said – it is meant to rattle. $400 is what F&P paid due to their CS incompetence. Although there was another problem not listed in the manual, and that was how to reset a program after stopping midway. ( you have to press the Delay button until it beep/clicks twice). Also the cutlery basket is a tight a mesh but things still can fall through like pointy end of a splayed or a kebab prong so you have to be careful about those. So after initial teething problems were sorted, very happy with it, works brilliantly. Only once it stopped cleaning properly, and when I checked the arm, the arm was blocked on one side, which explained it -it was pretty easy to clean, just with a brush over the top. Also this model has a different filter from my old one and it’s much easier to maintain, I don’t have to clean the big disk. I could not live without my dish drawer.

On this model, they have found extra height within the unit, but they give the total height at the top of the protruding front part, which sticks up 2cm from the body (worst idea F&P have had,) so at first I thought it was 2cm less than what they say their height is, but actually they have found an extra 2cm within the body, so now, all my large 'man' size dinner plates fit, which is good. so the height was misleading, but I guess they do that so buyers know it does have the extra height inside.

Btw, on my last Tall model CS told me there was a problem from the hose placement which is why I would have to pay the Tamworth Technician ( NorthApp Appliance Repairs) $1060 to fix (on a $1100 unit). They basically stole my unit (all it needed was a new motor for $80, because the arm was continuosly hitting the filter, and F&P CS, blindly agreed to NorthApp demands, so they are both thieves. For this reason I do not recommend them. No comment from F&P about the theft. Honestly, how business's could not give a dam about their reputation like this is beyond comprehension. We have the internet now, everything is transparent.

Seemless and Sleek – Initial thought was that it doesnt dry properly. Thats because the user didnt remove the tape covering the vent holes on the side of the drawer. Hehe As I've read before this dishwasher is super quiet. It cleans the dishes perfectly and dries them just as it should. Installation was also super easy. Well done Fisher & paykel Show details

Perfect dishwasher for 2 people – I absolutely love this dishwasher. Its so quiet that I can't tell that it is on unti I place my ear against the door! And it cleans dishes so well to. The single drawer is just the perfect size for my husband and I. At last we can wash dishes each night rather than having to wait a few days for a full load (yuck!!)  Show details

Omg I really can't live without this product. It's made me never want to be without a fisher & Payke – I love this product. I have had dishwashers before but this is the best one I have ever owned. Love love love this product. The drawer system is like no other dishwasher totally saves my back and also it's like having two dishwashers in one. I put on drawers separately which helps saves water and energy. The load is well organised that I only use the bottom drawer for saucepans. I would definitely recommend this product  Show details

Quick job done – We got it recently installed st our property and it's doing a fine job at rinsing the dishes well. I usually select one and a half hour run time approximately and my dishes comes out clean as new. It's quiet with its operation and you don't realise it's doing its job unless it beeps st you to turn it off. Was a good choice to make.  Show details

Constantly breaks and jams – I am so over f&p!! The dish drawers look great and I love the fact that you can have one drawer washing whilst the other one is still available to stack dirty dishes. BUT we've had so many issues, jammed, blocked, parts breaking and I think we've spent more on having it fixed than on the actual appliance. Same goes for the French door bridge with… Read more

the freezer drawer on the bottom. Both are broken at the moment and I've booked a repair person to come and look at both and I was told that they will charge 2 call out fees, one for diswasher and one for the fridge.. seriously?!?? They are only coming once.. we are seriously thinking of putting them both on the tip and getting a different brand...

Gets the job done! – Good product, washes dishes well as long as they are loaded without baked on food, dishes need to be rinsed before putting in. Definitely noticed a decrease in our water bill since switching from hand washing. Machine is extra quiet which is great for our house as we have an 11 month old baby  Show details

Buyers remorse !!! – My family needed a new dishwasher and at the retailers the salesman strongly recommended this particular model to us saying that it's top of the line, excellent results and so on and on you know the typical sales pitch. On taking it home and after using for just one week I have already developed buyers remorse. The top draw while roomy isn't… Read more

spacious enough to hold a large quantity of utensils and other cooking pieces, while its all good if you have around 20 or so medium sized pieces like tongs, egg flipper, ladle etc but if your needed to clean up after throwing a large or even medium sized party you'll most likely find you need to either squeeze your crockery in the bottom draw or do a second load. As for the bottom draw I find I have a very difficult time trying to squeeze in medium sized pots, pans and woks in addition to my regular dishes bowls and plates after a dinner party. However my biggest gripe would have to be certain items like saucepans and crockery items like egg flippers, tongs and even some basic forks don't really end up with a proper clean after running a 2.5 hour basic wash cycle. I have tried using different brands of dishwashing detergents and power balls and find I'm still having the same problem. I end up having to just wash these type of items by hand and mainly just use my dishwasher for simple utensils and dishes. I haven't tried any of the other models in this range or brand so I can't say if the entire range has the same problems but I would definitely recommend all potential buyers do their own research and stick to their own choices rather than taking the word of a salesperson. I'm sure the sales guy made a healthy fee for steering me towards this particular brand or model whereas I'm stuck with buyers remorse and washing halve my dishes by hand. I would have to rate this particular model dishwasher as 1.5 out of 5 stars or if rounding up then it would be 2 out of 5 stars. I feel the F&P brand has really come down in terms of productivity and results especially when compared to other brands on the market such as Miele and even competitively priced brands like LG. they really need to invest in newer technology and features to get ahead of the pack rather than just following suit and replicating their competition as it really isn't at the level of quality in terms of results and productivity. One of the few positives however is that it looks very fresh and modern and goes very well with my kitchen although I would choose quality and results over appearances every time. In summary, look at a different brand/s and only choose F&P as a last resort.

Love these! – This is the second house we have installed these in. Perfect for a family who never want dishes stacking up while one is on. I know people don't all like them but I love them. We have never had any issues with them at all. I think they are better than most dishwashers.  Show details

Wouldn't buy any other type – I have owned several Dish Drawers now - put them in several properties including work venues and have never had any problems with them. I love their ergonomics - it is so much easier than a front loader and takes up much less space. You don't use them / load them the same way as a front loader so there is a very small learning curve (so guests… Read more

don't load it) but I find them fantastic.

I know people who bought a very early model and had problems with the seals - but I repeat, I have never had ANY problems with them.

1 note and only a very small one - I only buy the top drawer single now - I don't like having a bottom drawer (it is awkward having it under the main one) and a single drawer is plenty big enough for an active family of 4-5. If you really need more than one, you can always put 2 top drawers side by side and leave the space under as pot drawers.

Great. Love it – My F&P dishdrawer is 2 1/2 years old. It cleans really well - I have swapped out of Finish and only use the Morning Fresh gel or Liquid caps and am really pleased with the results. I highly recommend you swap out if you're still using Finish. If you decide to give the gel a try be careful to only 1/2 fill the detergent container otherwise it won't… Read more

wash properly. My F&P is really convenient - being able to run the drawers separately leaves less likelihood of unwashed dishes sitting on the kitchen top. I have a small apartment and the kitchen is very visible so I like to try & keep it tidy. The F&P has been reliable with the exception of two times when he computer seemed to get confused and I couldn't turn one of the drawers on. The problem was easily solved by switching it off at the power which seemed to reset the computer and everything was fine. The dishwasher is quiet enough to run at night, which is a relief because I always need to run it after dinner.

Lately I've been getting some residue (quite typical of every dishwasher I've had previously) in the tops of upturned mugs, etc. so are looking for hints as to how to clean it out as I suspect that's what's causing the problem.

I am very happy and most likely would buy another F&P dish drawer if I were renovating again.

Fisher & Paykel ripped me off $1000 – I am furious with F&P. My F&P dishdraw broke down after 3 years - repairer said $950 to fix - too expensive to fix AND it cost $94 just to tell me that quote, and he did not bother with a written quote either, even though I asked for one several times PLUS he kept unit. – “Northapp Appliance Repairs Tamworth” (it most likely just needed a new… Read more

Rotor, the dishonesty amongst business is absolutely disgraceful)

BUT I was later told by F&P - you have to run the hose higher than the unit then the exit end has to be lower than the unit , and that, that is why it broke after only 3 yrs.(still don't believe them, just needed a new rotor, as the arm was hitting the filter) F&P ‘sided’ with northapp appliances, without determining for themselves, and getting all the facts, they blindly went along with this idiot Bret from Gunnedah H&M refrigeration/northapp Tamworth. - costing me basically $3000.

I have used a different F&P model in the past - had no problems, so I really do recommend these F&P dishdraws, they save me hours and hours of washing up time, and I run mine at least 3 times every day, basically they are brilliant.

oh, and serviceman will charge $250 to unblock, but is super easy to do yourself see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYAZ_7OU5uo I also inserted a small brush into the channel -in-between the centre and where the filter goes, to make sure it is not blocked

If it makes a loud noise, chances are it needs a new Rotor A new Rotor costs $84.70au from: secure.fisherpaykel.com/AU/Catalog/CatalogListing.aspx?Ca... or $95 on eBay inc P

And sometimes water remains in the bottom after a cycle, I found to fix this I should switch cycle on, and in the first 30 seconds it drains any water that is left in there, so when you hear the pump, tug on the hose swiftly to dislodge any debris. - The main cause of that was a damaged Rotor, so check Rotor for peeling plastic or damage of any sort, it needs replacing straight away if damaged.

The tall one is better, it will fit the kitchen compost bin and rubbish bin.

Very happy with my choice, single tall dishwasher – I live alone in average size unit. Chose the single drawer deep F&P Dishwasher and am very happy with it.
