A very competent refrigerator – When our 20 year old GE Americana retired to beer duty in the country, we replaced it with a Maytag side by side, what a mistake! Was so fed up with water leaks etc that we replaced it with the French Door GE. Its been fantastic, it is so easy to store and find things. Our fridge runs at 2C and the freezer at 18C. Food keeps really well. So easy to store and find stuff, temperature display in the door, great lighting. Door handles quickly worked loose but were easy to tighten and have not been a problem since. Cannot tolerate the freezer drawer not being fully closed. It ices up and needs a full defrost and refreeze which takes 3 days.
