1 Natalie M.  · Haven’t had these for a long time, but had a craving. Wow, they have no flavour anymore. They used to be so flavourful I couldn’t put them down. Bummer
1 Wendy T.  · Absolute bollocks – Absolute bollocks - a pack with 7 chips! What a waste of money and resources.
1 Shervarn  · They are not what they use to be – They taste like wood clippings now, has no flavour whatsoever
5 Deb  · Chilli Grain Waves – I love them. Perfect taste and texture. Perfect with Red Wine.
4 Kaitlin  · More chips – I usually love grain waves but when I opened the packet I was disappointed to find there was less than half a bag

Ridiculous – I opened my packet of grain waves and there were only 4 in there. This isn't the first time, they put 4-5 in each bag and fill it up with air. This is such a rip off. Please fix it. Show details

A mouthful of regret – They say ocean waves come in sets of seven, and apparently a bag of Grain Waves does too. In a world where we arent allowed to use plastic straws, why should we be opening thirteen packs of Grain Waves to get us through a smoko break. You would hope to enjoy a meal that results in enough plastic waste to feed the entire Hawksbill Turtle… Read more

population, but the truth is that these chips are so tasteless I was reaching for a RAT test half way through my meal. As the world struggles with shortages of both grain and nitrogen gas, Pepsico will be struggling to decide where to lay their focus as each product makes up roughly half of the weight of each bag of Grain Waves. All in all I dont know if it is the flavour or the shape of these chips that has me contemplating whether to spit or swallow.

Great tasting healthy version of chips – Found them full of flavour great snack alternative. Great on there own or used with a dip. A healthy alternative snack that kids will also enjoy I really liked the sour cream and chives the best and taste not too weak.

Love Grainwaves – I'm addicted to the sour cream and chives flavour, so crunchy! The homebrand rip off doesn't cut it, just a warning to those thinking they're the same. Now even happier as there's more in the packet!  Show reply

Weetbix-like Snack – Wheat is healthy as a breakfast cereal to start the day with fuel-packed energy besides nutrition, but as a lunch at work every day for another refuel - Grain Waves with buttered white or wholemeal sandwiches, and maybe some parsley, is most probably the fast lazy way to have an energetic meal without soggy vegetable salad like lettuce, as I tend… Read more

Grain Waves just aren’t hitting the same – I opened my pack of grain waves that I purchased from my local Woolworths and all I can say is I was very disappointed. The first chip lacked crispness and flavour. After eating the first grain wave I was hit with a wave of remorse, the chip made my moth dry and left a butter taste of disappointment in my mouth. I truly hope that the packet of… Read more

grain waves I have purchased is an outlier and that the crisp and zesty taste of grain waves chips has not been tainted. However, after the disappointing performance of these grain waves I am unlikely to purchase them again. I’m sorry but you have lost a customer. Not the worst chip I have had though.

Has the recipe changed ? – I really did like the sour cream and chives recipe and it seems that now there is a lot more salt and vinegar - I will not be buying them again

No flavor – Just pruchased 2 bags of Sweet Chilli grainwaves .... usually love this product ... but any semblance of flavor was totally missing ....I'm assuming it was a production malfunction ... but quality control should have picked up on this. Tried to send them an email but the link from their website wouldn't go thru ...so I had to resort to this to get the message they to them

I only have a slight problem with it – you need to put more chips in the bag. It's annoying when you buy a bag of chips and it's half empty. Looks like someone has eaten half of the bag which sucks. Please improve this.

New twist on ridge-style chips – As someone who has always preferred the ‘ridge’ type of chips, Grain Waves fit the brief. They have a great crunchy texture, and while some of their flavours are a bit gimmicky, there are some great ones like ‘Sour Cream and Chives’. A couple problems to consider: a low number of chips in the bag (after all, each chip weighs more), and they tend… Read more

to crumble easy in the pack - shake and listen first to get an idea. Overall, a slightly more healthy way to enjoy ridge style chips.

A nice but special type of chip design – As we know, not all chips are the best but these chips are the good ones. Having a different chip style that we have not seen before might make some people like them due to the design of the chip but that's what makes it unique for me. Some people complain about how there is very few chips in the bag but i don't mind this very much at all because the taste is a good taste that makes people coming back for more.

Great flavour and texture – I recently tried these at a party and loved them so much I bought myself a pack (as soon as they were on half price sale Coles!). I think if you're used to potato based chips you might not enjoy them as much, but if you eat a lot of other variety of chips (corn chips, cheese chips etc) you will probably enjoy these.

Tasty treat – Pretty good flavour and texture. Often whole grain alternatives have a really different texture that I hate, not these. Its different but not in a awful way. Also the small lunch box packs are an easy quick treat to pack in my uni lunch box. By far a better choice than the unhealthy alternatives (though its really is still a treat not an everyday food). tasty, healthy

I bought a Large Packet of Grain Waves (Sour Cream & Chives) – I bought a large packet of Grain Waves from Hobart City (Woolies) They were inedible and I had to throw them in the bin. Bought on Fri 23 Aug 2013. looked at the packet after trying to eat them being so stale and ""off"<> Details are Best Before 15 Sept 2013. 126 E B20.08. OK technically still 23 days in date but not fit to eat. Cannot… Read more

understand how this has happened and I still have the wrapper and still have the receipt. But I have wasted money on a product of extremely poor quality. I couldn't eat the chips and have has to throw them away for health reasons. Nothing , they had No flavour and were Stale and made me puke Stale , out of date, should not have been sold.

Tasty wholegrain chips – Seems like people either love grain waves or hate them. I really like them. They are packed with flavor and taste really yummy. Sour cream and chives is the best one! The chip texture is dense but very crunchy and crispy. I love that they are healthy too - not sure about how wholegrain they are but they are definitely much lower in fat compared to… Read more

traditional chips because they don't coat your fingers with oil after every piece.

To the reviewers who got only ten chips in their bag, my small pack of grain waves (40g) definitely had more than that! didn't count but was probably close to 20. perhaps they just got a bad batch tasty, healthy expensive when not on sale, limited flavors

Very Nice – They taste similar to other corn chips like CCs & Doritos. The sour cream & chives and the sweet chilli flavours are probably the best ones. They are also a little bit more healthy than regular chips, since they contain less salt and are cooked in vegetable oil and contain less fat. Good taste Not enough in a packet

Just junk – I have just tried grainwaves for the first time and I must say very disappointing. Too hard and no flavour. I will never buy them again or recommend them to anyone else. My kids said the same thing and asked me not to buy them again. Not a happy customer. taste like cardboard

a rip off – I purchased a small bag of grain wave chips from woolworths and i counted ten chips, where can i complain about this, its just not right, never again will i purchase grain waves, even though i like the product. It should be illegal to produce a product stating that the weight does not add up to the quantity in the packet. Very bad! I love the taste the quantity and i paid $1.49 for ten chips!

Irrestable taste and very morish!! Perfect snack – A friend put me on to them. I had never eaten them before, always sticking to regular chips.Since trying them I would never go back to regular chips. My boys have also been won over, so it is hard to share a packet, we just buy more!! Healthy alternative to regular chips. Can't always get the flavour I like.

Loving the flavour – '' aah, you've done it again, smithy''. Sunday 7th August. Just had a small pack of Sweet Chilli grainwave with a Moet & Chandon. Could not ask for a perfect weekend to finish off. Love you guys. By the way kids love it as well. I rest my case. Definitely inexpensive and energy efficient.

Love them! – Grain Waves are fantastic. I find that I can't stop at eating just a few. I know that if I take them to a friends house to visit they will all be gone by the time I leave. It's something to do with the waves I think it just makes them more delicious! Always fresh

Delicious – I love grain waves Wholegrain, much tastier than other chips I have had. Once I start eating them I find it difficult to stop, they are that good. Ideal for a party with drinks or a snack when you get hungry in the supermarket, yes I have to admit this has happened a few times. I like the idea that they are wholegrain, sounds healthy but i know… Read more

they are still high in fat so should only be eaten occasionally. They are more expensive than most other chips, but I still choose them over other chips. What is better than a good movie and a packet of grain waves. My whole family love them. Taste amazing Expensive

Good – I LOVE Grain Wave chips! Three flavours that are all delicious. They are very addictive, so be careful! They are pretty high in sugar and salt so not overly good for you, but ok as an occasional treat. I only buy them when they are on special as they are pretty expensive.

Good – If they were not so unhealthy and pricey I would buy so many packets! They taste great regardless, just unique and not another boring chip. Packaging is good too look at… Read more

aswell. You can not go past the high amount of sugar content and salt content, the product being very unhealthy for you which is never good for ones health and wellbeing. They are very expensive too just for one pack of grainwaves.

Good – It is a very tasty product that I simply adore but because it is so unhealthy in terms of the sugar and fat content, this product should only be eaten occasionally. the texture was wonderful. It is a little bit pricey and I only buy this product when it is on special. Despite the claims that this product is better for you than some products like chips, grain waves have a high sugar and energy content. Consequently, people should treat this as a special treat.
