Deceptive Ingredients – I used to eat this brand of dark choc but since reading a report that stated it had high levels of lead and cadmium, I no longer buy it. I read the report on this link https://www.consumerreports.org/health/food-safety/lead-and-cadmium-in-dark-chocolate-a8480295550/ and although most of the brands I’ve never heard of and the report seems to… Read more
come out of the USA, G&B and Lindt are both mentioned and are available in all the supermarkets in Aus., both these brands have high levels. I eat the Pico brand of dark mint crisp, it’s expensive but I don’t have much and can’t find out if it has high levels of lead and/or cadmium.
As You Sow heavy metal report shows HIGH LEAD and CADMIUM levels within this Chocolate! – No one should ingest this 70% chocolate! You can see for yourself on the Toxinless website that a company named As You Sow reported it’s test results and this product contained high levels of lead (1.3) and even higher unsafe levels of cadmium (8.1). Safety standards are 0.5 ug/ per day for lead which is one serving of this chocolate (4 serves in… Read more
a block) and 4.1 ug/per day cadmium (per serve which is STILL too high). No advertised Country of Origin either. This product should be recalled and discontinued immediately.
So smooth and satisfying – I love chocolates but also was looking for something less sweet and this dark chocolate of Green & Black's is the best for me. I love it's taste and its composition. Show details
Organic Chocolate at its best – I'm a chocolate lover and I'm so happy to find Green & Blacks dark choc. It doesn't compromise on the taste with the same richness and flavour as conventional dark choc. It's not too sweet which I like and very creamy texture. Show details
Good chocolate but bad decision – This chocolate disappeared from the shelf a few weeks ago but has reappeared in new packaging at a higher price and with 90 gram instead of a 100 gram. I think this is owned by Cadbury who recently reduced the Old Gold from 200 gram to 190 gram. Green and Black is good chocolate but putting it in this small fancy packaging with a higher price like it some sort of single source artisanal super chocolate is not good. Show details
Smooth Creamy and not very bitter – I always associated dark chocolate with bitterness. I do not like the bitterness in dark chocolates I have tried from quite well known and big brands that otherwise make amazing chocolates. I simply did not like their dark chocolates. I tried this Green & Black's organic 70% dark chocolate because I was trying to find chocolates that have a low… Read more
sugar content. This one has only 9.1g total carbs per serve and a serve is 7 pieces. Thats quite a lot of chocolate for me (I usually have 2-3 pieces only) and so I decided to try it. I was so pleasantly surprised by the taste. It is smooth and very creamy with a beautiful true chocolate taste and very less bitterness. It is slightly sweet and very very satisfying for those chocolate cravings that can hit any time of the day. I can't wait to try the rest of their range now. I will brave the 85% dark chocolate too.
Excellent – This is one of the best dark chocolates to eat for me. It is a great treat and I enjoy it every time I crave rich, dark, creamy chocolate. It has less sugar and tastes really chocolately. I enjoy eating this chocolate, and since its so dark, I cannot eat more than a little bit. This is a great advantage. This is a classic creamy rich dark… Read more
chocolate and its 70% dark, so thats good for you too. It has a creamy dark chocolate taste, so for me, I can eat only a couple of squares. The wrapper is elegant and inside the chocolate looks rich and tasty. It does not disappoint and I know that I am having a great dark chocolate which I can indulge in because it is 70% dark. The fact that it is organic is a great plus point and makes it more appealing. It is a bit more expensive, but the grocers sometimes have it on sale and then you can feel even better for buying it.
Excellent – Green & Black's Organic Dark 70% is simply divine! Large, smooth pieces of rich, dark chocolate which quite literally melt in your mouth. They also melt in your hand, so pop fast! With low sugar levels and very high cocoa content (70%) this is the perfect chocolate for those who are chocoholics but cannot handle or have too much sugar. The… Read more
