Harris Farm Markets generally receives high praise for the freshness and variety of its produce, with many customers considering it superior to major supermarket chains. While the online ordering system and delivery efficiency are frequently commended, there is a significant divide in experience regarding order accuracy and in-store pricing consistency.
Pros
- Superior Produce Quality: Fresh fruit, vegetables, and specialty items are consistently highlighted for their high quality, fragrance, and flavour compared to competitors.
- Efficient Delivery and Packaging: Online orders are often delivered promptly—sometimes on the same day—and are generally well-packed in eco-friendly cardboard boxes or temperature-controlled bags.
- Convenient Online Experience: The website and app are described as user-friendly, making it easy to order meal kits, organic boxes, and "luxury" food parcels for others.
- Helpful Staff: Numerous reports highlight individual team members going above and beyond to assist with click-and-collect orders or custom requests.
Cons
- Pricing and Scanning Discrepancies: There are recurring complaints regarding shelf prices not matching checkout totals, with several customers noting they are frequently overcharged and must manually verify receipts.
- Inconsistent Online Order Accuracy: Multiple users report receiving incorrect substitutions despite requesting "no replacements," as well as missing items or products delivered past their expiry dates.
- Variable In-Store Service: While many staff are praised, significant complaints exist regarding poor service at meat and seafood counters, as well as long wait times due to unattended checkouts.
- Online Fees and Refund Issues: Recent changes, including a $75 minimum spend for click-and-collect and non-refundable service fees for out-of-stock items, have caused notable frustration.
Verdict
Harris Farm Markets is a strong choice for consumers prioritising high-quality fresh produce and a convenient online shopping interface. However, customers should remain vigilant by checking receipts for pricing errors and verifying the contents of online orders for accuracy and freshness.
The food provided was excellent and fresh. However, the delivery experience was not optimal. The package was delivered to Unit 3 instead of Unit 2, despite clear instructions provided in my delivery notes and during a phone call with the delivery personnel. Please be advised that Unit 3 is situated at the top of a substantial staircase. Due to… Read more
my current health condition, which necessitates a hip replacement, I was unfortunately unable to receive the delivery. However, I am grateful to the gentleman who works at the coffee shop across the road for his assistance. He was able to retrieve the delivery for me so that I could take possession of it. It is often the small details that are most significant. Thanks Tony
Went to the fish section at 6.30pm. Harris farm close 10pm. Bought a whole 2kg salmon. they cleaned it roughly. bought a kilo whiting. they refused to clean it and said they were packing up. all the fish were set up as usual. No packing up. the two guys there were just talking. the signs say we will clean for you. I wrote as complaint but Harris farm ignored it. Fish is good there but service can be a challenge depending on who you get.
Just had the most disgusting prawns ever. Soggy. Impossible to peel. Impossible to devein. Absolutely tasteless. I will never buy prawns here again. They weren’t even packaged with ice. Unbelievable. Yuk. Yuk. Yuk. Yuk. Yuk.

Dural store- fantastic thanks so much. Very happy with the order.
We used the service for the first time and found it very convenient. We were able to select the time and location for delivery, and the parcel was dropped off directly at our unit door within our unit complex, It's especially helpful for busy families. The website was easy to use, and we would definitely recommend it. We were a bit worried since… Read more
they use Uber for delivery, but the product arrived in a sealed box, with everything securely packed. Unlike Woolworths, where items are in individual bags, this is much neater and more helpful. As a family, we would definitely recommend this service.
Your new map directions; are terrific!!! CONGRATLATIONS. Best idea ever. Allen Barnett
I used to shop at Coles and Woolies out of habit and because it was relatively cheap. Harris Farm is now pretty much the same price, but the produce is way, way better. The delivery driver was nice too.
Harris Farm delivers fresh and in a timely manner – Easy to order, there were a few items that I normally buy in store that I couldn't buy online... that happens so I was not bothered by it. Delivery was timely and lots of communication before delivery. Fruit and vegetables were so crisp, fresh, nicely packed with care. Show details

Follow-up · Still use Harris Farms delivery every couple of weeks. Especially for fruit and veg quality is superior to supermarkets for the same price. Great meat and dairy options too
Wanted to buy meat, I was completely ignored at counter whilst staff joked and mucked around, I wasn’t in a hurry so patiently waited for about 4 minutes or longer, they knew I was there they could see me so I decided put my hand up and I asked… Read more
for service, the staff made fun of me and behaved like school yard bullies. There at work, all they had to do was be nice and be respectful instead they chose to be ugly. I pushed my trolly to the side and left there store and will never return. Zero stars
Follow-up · When I put my hand up a couple of the staff joked oh god where does she think she is, one of them said you don’t need our permission love you can just go, followed by laughter and other comments then one of the group stepped from behind the counter looked at me laughed and walked away, at this stage I realised I was not going to get served they… Read more
To Harris Farm Team, Re: Pricing Discrepancy at Pittwater Road Store Hi, I've noticed discrepancies between shelf prices and what I'm charged at checkout. Moving forward, I'd like to ensure prices match the shelf. If I'm overcharged, please adjust the price accordingly. Thanks for sorting this out. Cheers, Siavash

Harris Farm Lane Cove is my local and I genuinely love it, but I have to single out a team member named Zeron for going so far above and beyond. I was in a mad rush to get to my daughter's school musical and had picked up a gorgeous bunch of roses with coloured baby's breath. The flowers had been sitting in water and the bottom half had no… Read more
wrapping — which was a real issue, because we were giving them to one of the show's lead performers who wouldn't be finished on stage until 9pm. It was only 5:45pm, so those flowers needed to stay fresh and hydrated for over three hours before they'd even be received. The in-store florist had already packed up for the day.
Zeron didn't hesitate. He grabbed a freezer bag from the fruit section, filled it with water, wrapped the stems in tissue paper, used a rubber band to hold everything together, then wrapped the whole bunch in beautiful florist paper with a lovely tie to finish. It looked absolutely professional.
He was fast, warm, creative and calm under pressure. We made it to the show on time and the flowers were still gorgeous when presented after the performance. Zeron is a credit to the Lane Cove team. Thank you! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The products are good. The veggies and fruits is fresh. Good diversity of products to cover your needs. The workers always are really friendly and helpful. The butcher section is amazing and well knowledge. It’s is a shame that the only thing we might need to adjust is the packing of the online order. Multiple times I had to call cause they… Read more
replace the product for something that is not even close to what I ordered. Or they said that they don’t have it so I proceeded to canceled my delivery and go to the store by myself to pick up my package. And, also choose an alternative for that product.however, I found to my surprise the product that supposed to be out of stock. So, moreover, they send less amount of veggies. If order 200 gr of rocket and I got 120 for the same price. Or if I ordered 1k potato I got 600 gr. Unfortunately to me it’s not making sense these basic mistake or poor communication with the customer. Because at the store everyone is so lovely and helpful but the online order needs to improved. I’m still laughing when I ordered kennel popcorn to make at home and they sent me as a replacement a small package of salty popcorn like.. yeah this might work? Good try but not. If we want to make popcorn it’s for a reason. You are not going to replace smoke salmon for a raw salmon. Just one time one lady from the staff messaged me about if the product about to replace it was okay. And I found absolutely marvellous and smart. Anyway, thank to the team of isle capri and I hope the manager in charge of the ecommerce operations comes with a better plan to fix this issues. This is system and protocol problem than a staff one. Thank you
Large and varied selection of foods not available at other stores. Impressive selection of fruits and vegetables. I especially appreciate the “imperfect” choices. Knowing that there are no differences between the “imperfects” and their more perfect cousins means I’m buying more vegetables, at a greatly reduced price. As always, I prefer to buy my… Read more
cheeses from Harris Farms. Slightly more expensive but unmistakably a better cheese. There are also many other positive things I can say about my regular decisions to buy from the online Harris Farms website.
Sadly the excellence of the website doesn’t flow over to their Delivery Service. On 2 occasions I’ve received texts informing me that my order has arrived! Once one order was sent to the wrong address. Today I was texted that “Harry “ would soon be at my door. Well he wasn’t. I live in a 2 story building with a large open central courtyard. I’m on the 2nd level, up 1 flight of stairs from the courtyard. I had to ask a neighbour to go look for the delivery. I’m disabled. That’s why I appreciate deliveries to my door. My neighbour found my 2 boxes outside the building, just behind the mailboxes.
My main concern is that anyone who passed by the boxes could have easily helped themselves to the contents. Fortunately, I had quickly realised that “Harry” hadn’t come to my door and fortunately again, I had a willing neighbour who agreed to help.
**Now I must point out that I called the Harris Farms contact number given on their website. I could not have been more pleased with the polite, understanding and helpful person I spoke to.She immediately refunded the delivery fee. More importantly is that she had a “flag” put on my account so that when I order again more attention will be paid to my delivery.**
So ends this lengthy review of Harris Farms. Terrific in all aspects of quality, variety, price and service. EXCEPT for my unfortunate experiences with recent deliveries. This single factor had made me question whether to order from Harris Farms again. However after I spoke to the exceptional Customer Service person, I felt much better about buying from the Harris Farms website. We shall see how well this excellent company manages my next delivery…

As a Canadian traveling in Australia for extended stays, the meal kits available for order online are such a convenient way to meal plan. The meal offerings are varied so you can please your family. We’ve ordered about 6 meal kits from Harris Farm and we’ve been satisfied with each one.
In this order I received an out of date product: Yalla hummus with an expiry date of 26 April. Sent on the 1st of May. Not too happy about that. I’m a constant customer. Thank you for your attention.Best regards.
I gave up on getting produce, milk and meat from Woolies online because it was last in first out for online shoppers (i.e. about to go off in 1 -2 days). Thought I'd give Harris Farm a go, even though on average things are a bit more expensive (but I'm a time poor mum!). I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of everything received (good… Read more
quality, tasty, and with at least 1 week expiry on fresh items). Insofar as this quality continues, I'm happy to pay the premium and be a repeat customer!
I’ve been using Harris Farm online shopping and overall I’m very happy. The produce is fresh and good quality, and the website is easy to use. I like that they offer both organic foods and Imperfects. Deliveries have been very reliable and well packed. I’ll definitely keep ordering.
Wanted to pass on a HUGE thank you and appreciation to Blake who was working today, Thursday the 1/4/26. Terrible Service – I use the Bathurst IGA/ Harris farms regularly including early in the morning when there are few customers to more busy periods in the afternoon and evening. The service is consistently terrible. Constantly lined up waiting for staff, checkouts unattended or too few people at the express service aisle. The best evidence of the service failure is… Read more

Food, staff and product gets 5 stars. I now only buy stuff from the big 2 that I can't get here, and I shop fresh, as needed, 2-3 times per week. Access gets 1 star, or none if available. The carpark is always choking full, often with a queue on the street. That's fine. BUT there is ZERO lockable parking for cyclists. I'm sure you and fellow… Read more
tenants lose trade because people can't get their cars into the carpark. I'm equally sure that cycle parking would encourage people to cycle in, AND increase access/trade, AND promote the eco-friendly mantra that you actually fail to promote on this count. 2 car bays would fit racks for about 16 bicycles. So - today I locked up on the pole between your shop and the coffee bar, after moving your stack of baskets into a car space cos that was the only available place to put them.
I absolutely love Harris Farm Markets. The store itself is such a beautiful place to shop, but the produce is what really stands out. Everything is so fresh and smells amazing especially the fruit, vegetables and herbs. You can actually smell them, and they smell good, which says so much about the quality. The flavour is on another level compared to the big supermarkets. I also like that I can get things delivered! Show details
Extremely disappointed with Harris Farm. They’ve now introduced a $75 minimum spend for click & collect, and still have the audacity to charge a $5 service fee just to pick up your own groceries. This used to be a convenient and fair service, but now it feels like a cash grab. Terrible move that punishes loyal customers. I’ll be shopping elsewhere.
I’ve had three online orders now from Harris Farms. The first two were great, but like others have experienced, the quality dropped significantly by my third order. My last order was missing items, had expired items and packed so that much of my order was crushed produce and not useable. I’ve received a partial refund but not at all reflective… Read more
of what I lost! If I could give zero stars, I would. This is really unfortunate as I was trying to support these markets in their quest to compete with the retail giants. My family won’t be ordering again
Poor form Harris Farm. Went to buy a watermelon this morning. They were $1.99 per kg. Even the young guy loading them onto the display said so. Cut watermelon, inside the store was $2.49 per kg. By the time I got to the checkout, they'd upped the price of the whole watermelon to $2.49 per kg! I didn't notice until I checked my receipt on the way… Read more
home because whilst it was a heavy watermelon, I thought it seemed more expensive. The store was chaotic due to Christmas so didn't think to check my receipt prior to leaving the store. But hey, that should not be on me. I bought the same watermelon two days ago for $1.99 per kg. I'm also a local who will be a repeat customer. Next time, if you're being opportunistic due to holiday periods, please up your signage prior to opening your store. Disappointed as I've been shopping at Harris Farm for 25 years.
I organised pickup instead we deof delivery. The plums were far too over-ripe, bruised and a waste of money. This has never happened before as fresh produce is always excellent. Very disappointed.
Over the weekend, I placed an order for two Advent Calendars through the Harris Farm online store, totalling $80. The website showed them as in stock and available for click and collect, which suited me perfectly. A $5 service fee was added, which I accepted at the time. On the day I was scheduled to collect the order, I received a text message… Read more
stating that the items were actually not in stock, and I was offered a completely different—and clearly inferior—replacement product. I was at work and unable to check my phone for about an hour, and before I even had the opportunity to respond, I received another message saying, “Hi, since I got no reply I’m just gonna refund the order, I hope that’s OK.” I followed up to ask when I would receive the refund, as I was understandably frustrated that items advertised as "in stock" were not actually available. I was asked for my order number, which I provided, and was then told the refund had been processed. Three days later, no refund had been received. My partner, who had ordered the same two Advent Calendars online, received the same “no stock” message. His refund was processed immediately—however, Harris Farm still retained his $5 service fee, despite providing no service. He called Harris Farm three times on my behalf to try to get clarity on my missing refund, but no one was able to provide any helpful information. I eventually received the refund, but Harris Farm also kept my $5 service fee. This has been a really disappointing experience. I have always shopped at Harris Farm, but after this, I won’t be doing so again.
