HoMedics LCD Lithium Scale SC-305

Model SC-305 – This set of bathroom scales can be set to weigh in either kg or lbs by flicking a switch on the underside. It says on the instruction sheet that the batteries probably won't require replacing unless used on a commercial basis - they actually say they'll last for the lifetime of the original owner but how long is that? I find them accurate however, I find the first weighing I do with them isn't always correct so I've begun weighing myself 3 times, one after the other, just to make sure the read out is the same each time. Between uses I put them into a cupboard and believe if I left them on the floor unmoved I wouldn't have this trouble.

They weren't an expensive scale and as they've shown that I've been losing weight, I'm happy with them,

OK – Well it's the first time I heard anything about never needing to replace the batteries when I read the product description on here just now. I've replaced them twice when it has died on me. Most of the time it works and the weight is accurate so for an inexpensive scale it's fine. At least when it fails it is quite obviously wrong rather than just a little bit wrong! I bought this scale because it was inexpensive. Most of the time it's okay but from time to time it stops working and only produces a half weight reading. I have to jiggle it and take the batteries out etc to get it back to normal.
