Hoover-Australian made wins again – This is a well made Australian machine. This machine, under normal circumstances, will last over 10 years of hard usage, which in reality is what you can expect from a washing machine.Now I know some people have had machines will last 20 years and some only 6 years, but really they are made to last 10 years on average. Now, if it lasts 10 years and it cost you $500, then that equals $1 per week! That's pretty good!
We are talking about a washing machine, not a $20,000 car. Good price, solid machine
I agree, loved my Hoover... What they don't make them anymore!! Why not... What will i do, this Whirpool is NOT doing th job.
Electrolux owns all Australian brands now, (simpson, hoover,westinghouse, electrolux,kelvinator, chef,dishlex). They do not use the name 'Hoover' anymore, but I have always found Simpson to be good value for money, like what Hoover was. I know some people have been unhappy with Simpson lately, but nothing is perfect and an occasional bad machine is nothing out of the ordinary. good luck.
Great Machine – Have owned this machine for about 6yrs and it hasn't missed a beat. Can do large loads and quilts, blankets etc and handles the load well. This is my second hoover washing machine (last one lasted over 17yrs) and will stick to this brand. Would recommend it as a great family sized machine that lasts the distance and is not complicated. Reliable and inexpensive annoying lint removal bag
Thanks for the review. Our old Hoover 1010 Elite 6kg top loader has just stopped working after 27 years - never been repaired before. No big deal though as it was just a water inlet valve which I can still get a replacement part for $47. If the new generation is anything like the old then we would definitely recommend a Hoover top loader.

Best machine I had ever owned. Hoover wins all the way. Have a hoover dryer 14years old still going strong.
Just wish I never updated on my washer, Purchased a simpson and the worst mistake ever made. Wish they still made hoover products they just are made to last for years.
