they were sold to hotels.com and I should deal with them. Hotels.com says they don't deal with any completed transactions that hotelclub had. This is ridiculous.

told that they are just a search engine and are not reliable for my booking. I was quite shocked. They told me that my booking was through hotel club and has advised me to contact hotel club as they have no responsibility of whatsoever. I have contacted hotel club but they weren't too helpful either. I think their customer services are outsourced overseas and i have a lot of difficulties of understanding their accents. They have been going around the bush and nothing has been resolved. I have not only lost my money but have also wasted a lot of times on the phone with them. It is really frustrating and am thinking of taking legal action.
I will never book anything through cheaperthanhotels.Com.Au or hotel club and will inform as many people as i can about their services.

as when i have doubt in regard to the particular japan hotel that im interested in
hotelclub customer service assisted me by calling the hotel in japan 2x in order to give me the full information that i wanted to know
i appreciate hotelclub customer service all out effort in assisting me as i am a meticulous customer to deal with
if i am not satisfied with the hotel info in regard to my inquiries that is relate to me i will not book
but anyway without hotelclub customer service initial comfirmed info in the particular japan hotel that im interested in
i might not go on with my booking

Rendezvous and Ibis on Bencoolen in Singapore and Hotel Piccolo in KL. All were great hotels without the superfluous extras.
Be aware however, when claiming points for VA frequent Flyer Velocity Program when booking. One of the staff member at the Velocity Program refused to credit me my Velocity Points despite having sent my full Hotel.Club booking documentations to him. It took several emails at which point I gave up using Hotel.Club and it took them over a year, to finally award my Velocity points. Needless to say, the phone message I received to confirm the points sounded sheepish. I no longer bother to make my Hotel.Club bookings in view of a VA advantage but just simply for Hotel.Club reward point system. Excellent price points and ease of navigation through the website and clear colour coded fonts. The points rewarding is not immediate and despite having made three consecutive bookings, it does not seem to register on the club data base. After completing my travel, I was asked to make bookings before my Gold status expires even though I have just made the triple bookings. The point system does not seem to be immediate but has a long time lag, making it harder to keep track of the points.

Great rewards program, never had a problem – This was often the most expensive site on tripadvisor, until I joined and started getting the member discounts, rewards, discount codes etc. Have gotten some unbelievable deals through this site! Hotels have always received the booking so no issue there. It does mention things like "free 12pm checkout" on some hotels that they do not know about but offer anyway if you ask. They probably need to communicate this better to the hotels.
Always check tripadvisor as on occasion it can be more expensive for one night stays and it does list less hotels than other sites.
HotelClub – Such a great easy to follow website. Hotel selection is vast and the reward system is one of the best I have ever used. I have been lucky enough to have had free surprise complimentary upgrades in the past at some of the finest hotels. I highly recommend this website and its operators. Reward System is brilliant.

use Hotels.com who have a superior set up and much better customer service. I tried pointing out the flaws in their system, but they weren't interested.
Credit card fraud – I booked my hotel in Singapore to find out in the am that my reservation had been canceled. They claimed that the fraud team cancelled my booking after fully charging my credit card. They made it look like as if I had canceled my booking via email. Long story short, I had no hotel reservation after traveling with 2 young children overseas, awful customer service and a full charge to my credit card. Disgusting!
Dont Book – Booked on the website and it said Your bank has denied authorization to charge this card but then I checked my Bank account and they debited $654 plus 2 x $2 debits which it stated there was no Credit Card Charge so not sure what that is and also my booking came to $621.65 so again not sure why they debited $654. call Hotel Club so I did and the guy said he was going to call me back in 1 hour once there transactions update to see if it was processed. 2 hours went buy and no call so I called back and got someone that didn't even know what I was saying and when i asked her if she understood my request as the questions she was asking weren't relevant she replied with 'no, your accent is to sexy.' VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I will call my bank and get them to block the funds and i 100% WONT be booking back with this company.

One of the Best Website for Booking Hotels – I have used Hotelclub to book many Hotels. As a member of their top rewards category, I used to get 7% rewards for all bookings. Also, many times I took the opportunity of their special offer, sometimes $100 off, sometimes 15% off etc. I never have had problem with booking or cancellation. Need to see how they perform after joining with Hotels.com.

also say that if you are prepared to put in the time and have a good look around, it will be very hard to beat Hotel Club on prices. Sometimes you get discounts like "stay 3 nights and get 25% off" on certain hotels, these offers are what I look for. Then if you get a Hotel Club promo like 10% or 15% off, you can apply that as well. So with all the discounts like general hotel discounts + Hotel Club promos + use your 5% rebates you can quite often get 40 to 50% off bookings. That really helps your budget.
The thing that Hotel Club could improve on could be the promotion emails. Sometimes they show banners with certain hotels at certain prices but when you click on them and try and book it doesn't come up at those rates. Perhaps they could show exactly what dates those deals are on.
As a frequent traveller and hotel booker I will definitely continue to use Hotel Club, I am quite happy with them, thank you.
No issues – I've booked twice now through Hotelclub and had no issues. Received great deals, easy to use website. Promo codes are great.

do not use website! you will not get your money back – Had to cancel my booking and was told I would be getting the full refund and that they had also called the hotel who also confirmed that they would allow full refund - refund never came! After repeated calls with the same rehearsed responses from the customer service saying my refund has been 'processed' - no refund cometh!! beware this is a dodgy and fake website and u will lose your money!!!!
Robot run company – Beware buyer that should you suddenly become so sick that you need to cancel your accomodation your money is lost! This company has no compassion and lack human understanding. Disappointed – I booked my hotel requesting a 'family' room and stated that there were 3 travelling. Booking went through and upon arrival found we only had bedding for two. Hotel advised they were given no information that we needed more. My son slept on a VERY old worn sofa bed. As booking was non refundable, we had no option but to stay or lose our money. Not happy.

Stay away! – Booked my hotel and had the wrong dates, albeit they did change the date, unfortunately to the wrong ones. When I asked for them to correct their error, they were unable to do so as they said the Hotel was no longer willing to change reservation. With a seemingly illegal no-refund policy, which you are only notified of after the booking, I caution all to defiantly stay away. I'm considering legal action.

"Well, it's not cancelling, it's adjusting the date". As it turns out, no. Any changes are considered a cancellation and you lose every cent that you paid. On top of this, despite calling them several times, I could not contact anyone in person to discuss this or complain. Instead I got a message asking me to leave my 'name, number, state and country'. Will never use this website again, and will encourage my friends and family to boycott it. The hotel was nothing but polite, but did not have the ability to adjust the booking. Avoid at all costs.

basically i had booked a hotel and paid for it in full. The next day (without telling me) they go ahead and deduct all my membership points that i accumulated having spending hundreds/thousand dollars prior. I find this out by checking my emails which i do regularly and was absolutely shocked! So i call them, and they play dumb and will not admit to the mistake, rather they tried to twist the story and make me feel like rubbish for catching their dirty work out and calling them to chase it up. They do not take any responsibility and whine around all day just to avoid being in the wrong!
This group denied my request to have the points put back into my account even after i spoke to the supervisor and then duty manager because they my points were a substancial amount i have gathered over time anyway-they wanted to charge me extra for their mistake! Ridiculous...I know but that's the kind of service to expect from hotelclub, claiming there they best in the industry, with their marketing scamming loyalty programs and blunt customer service. Nearly ten years of good bookings – Wherever we travel we check the available hotels with Hotel Club first. We have found that for most hotels we get a very good price deal and often get breakfast thrown in - when you are on a budget this can be a big bonus, particularly in more expensive countries. The quality of hotels offered is generally very good.
Worldwide help – Gives a good selection of available hotels anywhere I have looked. Normally good value especially if you don't want a hotel breakfast. Found some really good value city hotels in UK. Did not include hotel and parking offers at Gatwick. No problems so far – I have used this website for booking accommodation when i was travelling in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Europe, Canada and New Zealand and have found that they have a good range of hotels and Bed and Breakfast accommodation.
