there were “plenty” of hospitality and ranch jobs available in Canada for the summer season. Once signed up, I was upsold expensive flights and insurance, only to later find the exact same flights online for hundreds of dollars cheaper. It's now been six weeks and nothing has come from the job search on their end, I have proceed to look on my own and have secured a job within a week (there is heaps of jobs out there!).
The biggest issue is that there is no clear timeline or guaranteed outcome, and everything they charge you for can easily be done yourself. Their terms state that if they cannot provide you with a job by the end of your initial hostel stay, you are eligible for a refund. Despite this, they have refused to refund my money and have provided no clear solution or way of honouring their agreement (see attachment below).
I have now reported the company to the ACCC in Australia, and if anyone else feels they have been misled or scammed, I would strongly encourage them to do the same.

flight home everything was wonderful. Our various accommodations, the very comfortable coaches, the guides (a special mention of Mr Son, our guide in Central Vietnam, who was exceptional), the internal flights, the culinary experiences, the cruise on Ha Long Bay and each of the places we visited all made the experience one to remember. The trip left us wanting more and wanting to visit Vietnam again. We are already planning our next tour with Holiday Max. PS The only one small hiccup we had was applying for our Visa. After much exasperation with various sites we found it much easier to go direct to the embassy in Vietnam itself. (Just a tip for future travellers.)

event management are a complete joke. Our original booking was for a 5:00 PM departure. At the last minute, they pushed it back to 6:30 PM, and then ultimately tried to force an 8:30 PM slot on us. Because they were completely messing us around and shifting the goalposts, we refused to accept the 8:30 PM slot. To make matters worse, they changed the departure wharf entirely and left us completely stranded. When we confronted them, their pathetic excuse was, "We sent you an email." Who on earth sits around checking their work emails early on a Saturday morning before a weekend night out?! If a company is making drastic, last-minute changes to an event time and location, common sense dictates they should send an SMS text message so the customer actually sees it before traveling. This wasn't just a single mistake, either. I met over 10 other angry passengers standing at the wharf who were facing the exact same issue. All of us had our 5:00 PM slots messed with, shuffled around, and were ultimately turned away and left standing in the dark. This raises massive safety red flags. If a commercial marine company is so incompetent that they cannot manage a simple time schedule, don't know how to properly alert their customers, and strand groups of 10+ people at a time, how can anyone trust them to follow strict marine safety regulations on a dark, crowded harbor? A basic refund does not fix the stress, the wasted fuel, the expensive city parking fees, and a completely ruined weekend. Stay far away from All Occasion Cruises!

The only downside was an issue with the $500 dinner voucher, which was quietly removed from our quote when we added an extra night to the booking. Unfortunately, we weren’t informed that the voucher had been removed and didn’t notice at the time because it had always been included as part of the package.
When we raised the issue, it unfortunately wasn’t handled very well and took months to reach what should have been a simple resolution. The follow-up customer service was disappointing and left us feeling a bit let down. They could never answer why it was removed and kept delaying responses probably hoping we would let it go. We raised it at the resort and even they were shocked it was removed as everyone on that package had it.
We would probably use MyFiji again, but we would triple check everything.

invoice that clearly, boldly stated that payment of balance not required until June 2026. In January, the story changed. We were now required to pay a further deposit of $12000 immediately to secure our trip and, by the way, our flight costs had increased by a total of $4800 despite initial assurances that the quote definitely covered our requested flights. We cancelled in January (9 months ahead of planned trip) and were informed that a $1000 penalty would apply, and that the balance of our deposit would take up to 12 weeks to refund. This despite assurances from the actual cruise line, the airlines and the accommodation venue that any cancellation that far ahead would not, from them at least, require a penalty. We regard ecruising's approach to be classic bait-and-switch misleading advertising and have lodged a submission with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission accordingly.

lot of time organising and changing our itinerary to come up with exactly what we wanted before we left. We had no problems with any of our flights, Hotel accommodation or train tickets. Australian Escapes provided us with a printed copy of all our travel documents and also a digital copy that we could access anywhere, anytime. They organised our travel insurance and even provided us with an emergency number that we could phone them with if we needed to, but thankfully that was not needed. They also provided us with a lot of tips about the Japanese culture for a great holiday in Japan, and places to see if we wanted to add them in while we were away. A professional well done job.

house.... Not really a 'gesture of goodwill'. The place is crawling with cockroaches and littered with cockroach poo all through the kitchen and bathroom. There were dirty underpants outside, the gate was off its hinges and the door couldn't be accessed as it the screen for the code was so scratched. I paid more for what looked like a 'nicer' place than others in the area. Its not. Go for something cheaper.
