Would not recommend – Have had this dishwasher for about 3 years, the 1 hour cycle goes for 2 hours, the 2 hour cycle goes for 4 hours. There is excess water leftover and the dishes are at best half washed and not dry. I would not waste your money. I also have an Ilve oven and rangehood, again, don’t waste your money

Disapointed – We built our dream home (retirement) and our builder offered us IIlve appliances which we had never heard of but were told by the builder that Ilve was a high end product so we because we had no reason not to trust our builder we went with the Ilve dish washer , it does wash the dishes well but it has a horrible smell when it hasn't been used for… Read more

a day ,we have had a few dishwashers and never have we had this problem before ,it has to be some bacteria thing for it to smell like that and we are worried about health issues.

Disappointed with this brand – Cleans well but doesn't dry them the dishes and when I open the door there is a terrible smell, like a fish odour. The appliance is quiet which is good. Like the fact that it is a quiet appliance but still have the problem of excess moisture after the wash cycle has finished.

Trading on name – It was bought for the kitchen renovation and was replacing an Ariston. I was a bit surprised that it was made in China as Ilve boasts as being a European brand, but everyone is outsourcing now. It worked well for the first couple of months. Then it just went from bad to worse and each time the machine had to disconnected and dragged out from under… Read more

the bench carefully and then dragged back in and reconnected. The first thing was an error code E 4 (machine is leaking and the flood sensor has got wet). Turned the machine over and a tiny little plastic tube had worked loose from the clamps both the tube and the clamps were of incredibly low quality, the thickness of the plastic tube was like plastic food wrap and the clamps broke when they were opened, replaced both. The machine did not always drain properly and then half the LED display decided not to work. Then the machine only did a half wash, I checked that I hadn't accidentally hit the half wash button ( I couldn't tell from the display as that was the part that wasn't working). It never did a full wash again. Then we got another E 4 and another hose had worked loose. I did contact Ilve and all I got was a list of service people in our area. The problems were always based around the quality of the hoses and clamps and the electronics. Finally I had had enough and we put it out for collection with the other rubbish. I will never buy Ilve again as I can not trust their quality and service. Looked good and very quiet Everything

Poor Quality Device – Our experience with the Ilve dishwasher is poor. The wash motor pump failed within 3 years and after several calls and a long time to get the part delivered it was fixed. But not for long. The top arm stopped working and recently the motor pump failed again. No heat is coming from the device. It is an expensive dishwasher but poor quality and represents poor value. It has a nice door Low quality product with high ticket price

High maintenance? Oh-, yeah – It's a good looking dishwasher. If you are planing to buy one, buy an extended warranty with it. You'll think me for it later for a long time. But, my true advise is the best not to buy Ilve Dishwasher! I bough it in 2007, it went something wrong every 12 months in last 5 years. Before I bought ILVE, I had ASKO dishwasher. I had never called a technician for once in 8 years. Design Everythings about mechanical went wrong every 12 months.

Terrible – I look forward to the time when I can buy a Miele. The stoves are wonderful, but Ilve need a kick up the behind by sourcing this kind of equipment under their brand. It matches the Ilve stove Too many for me to mention specifically, but I certainly agree with all the negative comments on this site. It turns out that this is a rebadged Haier, which… Read more

itself is an import from China... Thank God for the internet When I got error code E4 this link provided the best solution: http://www.fixed4free.com/answers.php?id=51269

rather than use a straw, I cut down a polystyrene cup, took the two drawers out of the machine, bailed out the well at the bottom of the machine, and then took the machine out from its fitting, got a towel around the machine to take up flooding water and turned it on the side. This extremely low tech solution has disappeared the error code, and I am able to run the machine again.

Terrible – In 3.5 years, I have had the fan replaced, motor replaced and now once again not working - requires another motor - just out of the 12 month warranty. Extremely noisy. The rollers on the bottom of the top rack chip the bottom plates. Worst dishwasher I have ever owned. Absolutely Nothing Fan and motor have a life expectancy of approx 1.5 years. Extremely Noisy, Dishes Chip due to rollers on top rack.

I have a Ilve diish washer. The quickest program (Glass) takes 1 hr 40 min. I have had better rack layout in other machines.

Terrible – Very very poor quality, however I have jumped up and down with Ilve and they have offered to replace this with the upgraded model which they assure me is of a much higher standard....but at the cost of an extra $550 plus as they only have semi intergrated or full I have to pay to have a cover panel made up. As the one I have is so bad there is no… Read more

other option . Nothing , worst dishwasher I have ever had .Disgusted with it. Everything, Noisy, unreliable , Broke down within 12 months, seal has fallen off, Basket broken, Biggest problem though is the racket it makes.

Terrible – Worst dishwasher ever. Who design it piece of junk?? Give the money to charity and wash the dishes by hand Nothing No stars Worst dishwasher ever!!!! It breaks down, the drying fan is plastic so it expands and makes a loud sound. The dishes never are clean the power dispenser does not work and leaves wet power dripping down the door. The… Read more

main problems are the plastic runners on the top rack. They are too small because they do not clip in the rack keeps on falling out. The cycle takes forever and it is very loud and vibrates.

The drying cycle is so hot it buckled the cupboards around the dishwasher. The dishwasher came with the house which is new and after two year I cannot wait to get the hammer out and destroy this piece of junk.

If this isn’t the worst dishwasher in the world then it is very close.

If you want a machine that does wash, is so loud it wakes up the neighbours, breaks down and destroy your kitchen cupboard than this one is for you. Give the money to charity and wash the dishes by hand.

Terrible – Bought one - hate it. It constantly leaks and doesn't wash well. After sales service is worthless. Wish I could get my money back and buy a better brand. It doesn't wash very well

Good – using the product is easy and i have not found any problems with it after 6 months of use, i will definately buy ilve in the future. the adjustable top shelf, choice of wash programs, it is fully integrated. I have an ilve oven and was happy with the service provided by them. the stainless steel door panel is sold seperately

Terrible – I will never buy another Ilve dishwasher again. The ovens are wonderful, but their excuse for a dishwasher is appalling. In future, I will stay with German appliances. Flash Italian name Unreliable. After sales service very average. The stainless steel door does not include a kick plate, so the machine looks unfinished on the floor (I had to fabricate something for it).

Terrible – In 9 months I have had the service people out 3 times and twice the motor has been changed. It has never washed properly and I am told by the service department there is nothing I can do. I will need to buy a new dishwasher - it certainly will not be an Ilve! There is nothing I like about it. The main problem is that it does not wash properly and it is also noisy. I bought a new home and the dishwasher was already installed.

Bad – It started of as a dish washer but now I have turned it into a dish cabinet for storage as that's all it is good for. It's shiny and it matches the style of other ilve kitchen appliances. It doesn't stop vibrating and make lots of noise while it is washing. Doesn't clean very well either.
