Infacol Wind Drops

Infacol works for my baby – I use infacol on my infant and it works wonders for my baby however she doesn't like the taste but she does burp easily and it settles her tummy
STAY AWAY Makes babies worse – It is a very short term fix. It may help them with wind, gas etc immediately but prepare for 24 hours of extra gas and pain to follow and ur baby to be very unsettled. It is a horrible product marketed for parents who are desperate to find aid for their bubs. My boy was in so much more pain for 24 hours every time after he took infacol. Honestly infant friends is a lot better. It’s much more mild and doesn’t cause side effects for my bub
Caused more harm than good – This product caused my baby excessive pain. She would scream in pain and then fart alot after having this before a feed.leading me to suspect the infacol causes the pain so I stopped and the next she did not have this pain. I rather struggle to burp than see my baby in pain like that again. Show details

A tried and tested remedy that has stood the test of time – I am so glad to see this product still on the market. When l had my first baby in 1988, he had wind that bad; that every time I fed him he would scream in pain for hours while l gently massaged his tummy, put warm flannels on his tummy, gave him warm baths to try to settle him and nothing l tried seemed to work Example: Gripe Water which had a… Read more
nasty sour taste and he would pull and aweful face before he spat it out and promptly went to sleep straight away only to wake up 10 minutes later screaming in pain
(l later found out it had alcohol in it, but was still highly recommended by the Health Nurse and Pharmacist). Over the next couple of weeks he started projectile vomiting; so as soon as l fed him the wind would push all of the milk out like a big funnel and then he would be hungry again so the process started all over again.
The Health Nurse suggested 3 or 4 different remedies including the Gripe Water.
Thank GOD my cousin came to visit with her two babies and l explained to her what was happening (showing her the basket full of medication l had bought to try to ease his pain) but none if it helped, she took us straight to the chemist and l bought a bottle of Infacol and instantly he got relief, it was the first time in about 2 weeks that he had not projectile vomited all of his milk up.
I used it for ALL 3 of my babies and l can't recommend it highly enough.
It is great to see it is still available for New Mums and their little bundle of joy.
Recommended!!! – Our little newborn girl had a lot of trouble with wind, intense reactions to her gut movement (poos, wind) to the point that she would not feed well, wouldn't sleep well and vicious circle with her getting overtired - typical colic symptoms. Was usually early evening for 3hrs or so but as she was getting to 6wks it was starting to get worse,… Read more
starting from about noon with frothy air bubble poo. It was so hard to see her suffer (and us). We were desperate to try anything, already trying to wind her well leading up to that. On recommendation of lactation consultant we tried iberogast (can get at chemist) mixed with small amount of breast milk in syringe and also tried infacol with each feed (before or mid-feed). We noticed easier burping straight away, then a much larger poo then ever before few hours later and a much more settled baby rest of the day. I was pinching myself when she had an hour nap at 5:30pm that day (the cry o'clock time before). There were many more smiles between feeds. Not perfect next day still a bit unsettled with feeds or passing stool but could be settled (as opposed to screaming days before and very difficult to settle). I would recommend trial of this to anyone along with iberogast (herbal medicine)- neither particularly expensive. It has changed our little girl and saved our sanity. No problem with taste, very easy to give. Inexpensive, immediate effect, saved our sanity Nothing
Sanity saver!!!! – Following the recommendation of friends to try the Infacol for a case of severe colic in my 8 week old twins, I HIGHLY recommend Infacol. Its worked a treat with both my twins. After a truly horrendous month of dealing with their colic, and myself being reduced to a mess due to NO sleep and handling them entirely on my own, this product has truly… Read more · 2
been a miracle saviour for me. Both twins are now sleeping through the night for 5 hours straight (unheard of!). I don't know what to do with my time now! After speaking to our GP (paediatric specialty) she has assured me that Infacol can safely be added to the baby formula and breast milk ( I comp feed), as its difficult getting the twins to take anything with a dropper. I also use gripe water which can also be placed in the bottle at the same time (as per GP). The pharmacist told me that the infacol works at getting rid of gas bubbles in the stomach and intestines and has anti reflux (due to the bicarbonate in it) properties, whereas the gripe water works at minimising production of wind. Highly highly recommend both. Won't be without either until the twins are 5 or so months old and the colic period has passed. Quick to work (instant), brought up a LOT of gas, very effective, inexpensive ($8-$10), available easily in pharmacies/local supermarket, only a small amount needed each time (0.2ml), safe to use, can mix with formula/breast milk, natural, can mix with gripe water safely, tastes good (i had a taste), babies finally sleeping well(happier)

Made A Difference – I found this definitely made it easier for my baby to burp after feeds. We used this for a month or so to help through a rough patch. My baby didn't like the taste of it though Show details
Highly recommend – I have a 6 week old and we were having trouble with burping and crying. I can confirm this works 100% of the time, all I do now is rub his back and he belches out burps. This stuff really works. Even if this makes Bub drowsy (which I’m not convinced of) it is worth it to help Bub with the wind pain and to help with the crying. Show details
This is pretty could – My baby started having colics on his 2nd week of life, I did not want to give him actual medicine so I started with homeopathic colic calm, which helped him to evacuate but not immediately with the pain. I jumped to infacol when he turned 1 month old, but I am only giving it to him before the first night feed and the first morning feed, he hates… Read more
it but it is helping a lot with the pain itself, unfortunately he takes a couple of hours to evacuate (poop), but he does. I am very happy that the pain goes away, as it was the most heartbreaking for me. Cheers

Makes bubs drowsy – Gave it to my newborn and it was nearly impossible to wake him up he looked like he was drunk. After seeing a pediatrician I was told it's made babies sleepy. Took bubs off it and he was so much better in 2 days Show details
Infacol -》Alcohol and Sugar – The Australian Infacol version contains alcohol. That's why babies sleep so well. They are drunk! This can cause Sudden Infant Death. After a few times you baby is alcohol addicted and if you accidentally overdose it you kill your baby! Show details
my daughter was hospitalized because of this product – I will not be recommending this product at all my daughter started this at 4 weeks old as she could not bring up her burps so I put her on infacol as a new mum this is a mistake I will never make again by five weeks I had her at the doctors I told them I've put her on this a week ago and she is now projectile vomiting they put it down to silent… Read more
reflux not the drops and said I'd have to change formula aswell
at 14 weeks old still using infacol I had to have her hospitalized as i couldn't pick her up or put her down or feed her or change her bum with out her projectile vomiting and almost choking
the hospital couldn't figure out why this was happening they did many tests and nothing, after a few days they sent use home with no improvement at 15.3 weeks I decided to stop giving her infacol by 16.5 weeks she was almost fully recovered now at 18 weeks she is much happier and healthier

Works wonders if used correctly - go to site and don’t just rely on instruction sheet – Educate yourself on how to use product. Go to infacol site and research somethicone which is main ingredient. Take before feeds and try your best to burp baby afterwards. Sometimes you’ll see instant results and takes a good week to work. Show details

Can't harm – When my son was crying without stopping. I went to the nearest pharmacy who told me to use this as a try. Gave some to him, cries go on for another 15 min and stop. It s a good alternative to infant friend but not as effective i think. Always great to have something under the hand for colics.
Helpful for baby wind ! – When little one was younger we used infacol with every feed from about a month old till she was 5 months old . She was a very windy and unsettle baby and this really helped. Once she was a bit older I was able to slowly removed it from her feeds, we never had an issue with the product at all.
Helps my baby – This has been affective in helping my daughter release wind and gases. I prefer to give this on its own rather than in her bottle in case she doesn’t finish it. Having said that I’m going to try Infants friend next to see if that helps also with her colic symptoms.
Overall Good and worth a try – Our Baby was only mildly suffering for a few weeks and we saw around a 50% improvement. I have no experience with a baby with more than mild symptoms. I'd suggest to give it a go and it may well work but remember to always ask a professional:) Good luck parents at this exhausting/beautiful time in your lives.
Helps baby burp! – We are using this in conjunction with Novalac formula & Dr Brown's bottles and bubs is burping really well at each feed. We use it every feed (bubs is currently 5 weeks) and will continue to do so until he gets the hang of things. Find it most effective by giving it directly to bubs about 5min before a feed. Purchased from Woolies.
infacol review – I've been using this for my baby since she was 2 weeks old. She had alot of trouble with wind and since putting the recommended dose into every bottle she's been so much better. I really recommend it. I got mine from coles supermarket. I hope that they always stock it
This save my sleep – This wind drops saved me with my daughter. When she was 1 month old she screamed with pain. I was about to change Formulas but a friend recomended this. I gave it to my daughter from 1 month old in every bottle until she was able to roll and be more active. It helped her burp faster. You just have to be aware that some kids might be allergic and vomit or something. Always check with your GP
Good for new born – Really very useful when my new baby was 2 months old and crying lot.GP suggested and we tried give her surprisingly superb result with in minutes .Really very good and i prefer for new born if they have any stomach pain and they cry lot try with doctor's recommendation. Specially new born and breastfeed baby feel happy after drop.
Just ok – This product was ok. I wouldn't say its a "go to".. Didn't really seem to do a whole lot for my kids. I preferred to rub their tummies or bend their legs up and down to release air. Having said that - i know a few people that have used it and swear by it.

Couldn't live without this product – Being a first time mum I was so skeptical about giving my newborn "medicine" but when she was struggling with wind and I could see her little legs pull pull up I knew I had to do something to help her. After being recommended Infacol I thought I would give it a try....reluctantly but Infacol was the only product that could help with my daughters wind. Without this product I may have gone crazy! Thanks a million!
Not very good – Does not work for my baby. Did not help his wind or anything. My baby still struggled to fart after giving infacol to him. Switched to infant's friend and that was far more better with results for my baby. I guess it depends on every child, but for mine didn't work.
Avoid – Someone suggested it as my baby was really colicky. I tried twice but then realized that babies only need breastmilk and certainly not something that can also be found in shampoo! The theory behind it seems stupid and research does show it is not better than a placebo. I can't understand why anyone would want to give this to a baby.
Great for Colic but not for reflux – Infacol worked really great for my 1st and 2nd kids who had bad colic. For my 3rd who had server reflux & colic was a no go. It made him projectile after big burps. So i wouldn't recommend if your baby has reflux. Other then that great for colic babies.
Helps with wind – Baby struggles with wind but has been able to get it up much easier since we switched to Infacol from another brand of wind drops. It could be a timing coincidence with the change, but it really seems to help -partner can tell when I have forgotten to give them.
Wouldn't recommend - baby projectile vomiting – Got infacol for LO (little one) to help with excess wind after swapping from breastfeeding to formula, after adding the recommended dosage of infacol to each feed over a few days LO began projectile vomiting. Today we stopped using infacol and have noticed a major improvement, no more projectile vomiting. Wouldn't recommend using this product, it's very distressing to watch your baby be so sick.
Perfect! – I was looking for a simethicone product when I stumbled on Infacol. The packaging says it can be used from 1 month onwards but our pharmacist said it was ok for newborns (ours is 3 weeks old). Infacol has really helped our baby girl with her colic, she used to have terrible colic and would not burp, she now burps really easily with Infacol. We add… Read more
a drop of Infacol to every bottle top-up and it has been great, but don't use it excessively as it can cause diarrhea (we only feed bottle less than twice a day).
Beware, not for reflux bubs! – Bought this today as my 4 week old has unbearable wind and can never burp it out. My son also has reflux but the packaging and website did not say it wasn't suitable for reflux, it said it was suitable for babies 4 weeks plus. After the 2nd dose my sons reflux got worse but the 4th dose I knew it wasn't a coincidence. I googled past forums and so… Read more
many people said not to go near it if your baby has reflux. I also found it made him pass a lot of wind but it seemed to be painful for him. Again a lot of people said it caused their baby this distress too. I'm really disappointed that the company does not warn customers about using with product for reflux bubs and otter possible side effects. I really regret buying this and putting my Bub through it.
Its working so far – My baby have really bad colic, crying and screaming during evening. i tried brauer its working before but i dont know why its stop working. I bought this infacol and give it to her before feeding, after feeding she made a big burp. So i will continue use this infacol every feeding.
Lifesaving – My now 4 month old was born with sever colic and this was a lifesaver at 3am in the morning when he'd been up screaming for hours due to pain and I'd add it into his bottle and he'd release all his wind/gas and sleep for hours. It's a product that actually works
Didn't work for my baby – He vomited quite a bit when ever I gave him this. He hated the taste and was always a battle. His wind only ever came up with vomit. I've used other products that have worked very well, just not for my little man unfortunately. Every baby is different and might work better for another
Not for my baby bad reaction – After using the advised amount on my 4 week old baby she cried so bad like it was cause her so much pain, my baby isn't a cryer and this was so distressing for her and for me because I couldn't help her. Not planning on using this again as it just didn't work the way I had hoped, persisting to try and find another product that will get rid of wind.
Really worked for us! – Our little bub was crying in pain for hours but after using infacol for a couple of days we had a much happier bub - it was such a relief for us. We used it with every feed for about 6-8 weeks. When bub reached 3.5 months all her tummy issues seemed to settle.
