Absolute junk, broken after 2 months and wont offer a refund. Thankfully Harvey Norman stand by there customers and refunded our money. Avoid these products at all costs. 3 weeks of absolute headaches Show details
Absolutely no after service. If you lose the app there is little information to get another app. No idea what model I have The numbers on the machine AI couldn’t identity. No follow up from there. You are on your own. This is a company you do not want to be involved in. There is no help. If you do buy one Make sure you keep the QR code. It is your… Read more
only hope if you lose the app on your phone. Shame on this company for charging a fortune for its products with no after care. It will look like there is a huge amount of options if you need to troubleshoot but considering, they can’t even find mine and then AI just keeps repeating the same question , the website is useless
Worst company to deal with under warranty. Refuse warranty for reasons they technically made up. The machine with mop is extremely faulty. Just google the complaints from 100s of people all around the world. Facebook, redit ect hundreds of the exact same complaint. Then after your machine leaks on day one, they exchange it for another faulty… Read more
unit then exchange it for another faulty unit. To then blame you when that one is also faulty. Because the company is in receivership and going broke because their product is so faulty. The mops leak from day 1, they send out seals to help that leak after a few months, then apparently its our fault and deny warranty so they can save money.
They know their product is faulty, hence the seal kit that needs replacing over and over again.
Do not buy this product or anything from this company.
The product has been good but the App and customer service is useless not user friendly at all. I want to order parts but can only put one product in the basket won’t let me order more. So tried their customer service well that took about 1/2hr when it said I’m next wait time 1 minute. To send them an email can take days before they answer it.… Read more
Then I was told he would send me a email invoice I could pay and get the parts, well hours later I still don’t have it.
I have just had a reply regarding ordering parts. I have tried to place the order for you, but due the shipping address is from Australia, the system is not allowing me to place the order, but if you want to place the order for an Australian territory, it could be following the next link. It could be !!!!!! Why have an app if it won’t work in Australia
I purchased a $1,600 robot and clean base and have had nothing but issues. From day to day, it either won't start, won't connect to wifi or says to empty bin repeatedly (the clean base is supposed to do that). I emailed them twice with a list of all the times it did not perform as promised but no response. Finally it stopped working altogether and… Read more
they replaced the clean base as it was only a few months old, 4 months later exactly the same thing occurred (one of the contacts fused together so it wouldn't charge) on the same side and they refused to replace it claiming I have not maintained it. The maintenance obligations are to wipe it over which I did with both a clean cloth and the special foam. They took 4 months to get back to me before they refused. I had Roombas when they first came out and they were great, now they are just trading on reputation. Their products are sub-standard and their customer service is worse
Really noisy unit. Couldn't run at night and sleep at the same time. Cleaned ok for a few years, got stuck a lot and failed to find the charging base at the end of its cycle. then the battery failed. Pretty average experience with this product. Would not buy again or recommend. Show details
Less than 1 year out of warranty, and not making parts- told to throw out by Roomba staff! – We have been long term iRobot Roomba customers (over 10 years), and purchased an e5 (new) in late October 2021. It has been working perfectly until last week when an error displayed, requiring us to purchase a new cleaning head. Not available online- so we phone Roomba Australia- told they no longer make that part and to purchase a knock-off part… Read more
or throw the Roomba out! A $750 machine less than 3 years old- and told to throw it out or buy non-genuine. Asked if Roomba would provide a discount on us upgrading to a new product of theirs- told no, because they are already on sale.
Really disappointed in the after sales service- less than 1 year out of warranty. Will not be buying Roomba again.
Perfect flawless vac – I purchased the i5+ roomba and am absolutely thrilled with it. I had researched alot on which robo vac to get and I'm glad i chose the roomba. Price was great too on sale at $699. My floors have never been cleaner, the mapping and favourites programming was easy and worked a treat first time. The app is user friendly making it easy and convenient… Read more
to preset how many rooms I want cleaned or how many times a day I want it running. It truly had been the best purchase I have made. Highly recommended if you're in the market for a robot vac.
Worst ever – App hard to use, vacuums when it wants not days/time I set up. Keeps disconnecting from wifi, absolute waste of money and causes me nothing but stress and anxiety, ready to chuck it in the bin where it belongs.. do not buy!! Show details
TERRIBLE IROBOT ROOMBA - THE WORST – Its terrible terrible terrible - instead of easing out workload it gave so much stress - not user friendly at all - took months for correct mapping - then hardly does some job and an error message pops up. The technical part of this roomba is very low quality. Show details
bad product, avoid to buy – bad battery, too small dust container, bad capacity to find it's dock Show details
Sensor fault – Had issues after 2 months, took time to fault find and rectify, fault still persisted. By the time I came back from working away, the 3 month replacement period had finished by 11 days. Now it takes 6 weeks to fix. Poor customer services from JB and Roomba. Stay away from this product. Many faults for such an expensive device – Continually shows unable to connect. Continually shows bin full when bin is not full. Continually requests cleaning for charger contacts, empty bin. Battery takes a long time to charge and is quick to discharge Show details

Expensive lesson - Two useless Roombas – The first Roomba was great. I got a 780 and loved it, till the brushes stopped turning. I then bought the 980 thinking it would be even better. It took all the good things about the 780 and killed them. It is truly useless, beyond words. it doesn't pick anything up just throws it around and has an empty tray at the end of the cleaning run. right. $1500 door stop. So I tried to get the old one working. Sent it to Iroomba to service and fix. $250 later it came back because apparently all ills are fixed with a new battery at a ridiculous price, of course. Somehow it made it all through the repair and QA process in exactly the same broken state. So that's two roombas that just push things around. I am really desperately regretting both purchases. Overall two machines cost me almost $3000 and neither work. ASIC next.
Great Little Helper – We have had our Roomba 980 for about 6 weeks and we're very happy with it. We have a 4 bed room, two living room home approximately 180m2. We also have a 3 year old and a cattle dog that shed hair all year round! Having wooden floors, dark black slate and rugs throughout the house so my wife use to use a stick vac 1 or 2 times a day because she… Read more · 1
can't stand dirty floors. Now we only mop once a week and do a deep vac once a month.
It works well on all hard and carpeted surfaces, gets under most things and I can't believe that it still fines at least 1/2 a cup of hair and dirt a day, every day (scheduled).
It does take a while to get to know what you need in the way of "adjustments" in the house to get the best out of it, but once that is done it works like a charm. By adjustments I mean picking up or sticking down light rugs, getting cables out of the way, closing doors if you don't want it in a certain room etc.
A few issues which we had to resolve were:
1) A deep shag pile rug (20mm +) was to much for it to get onto and / or move once on it, so we moved it from the lounge to a spare room
2) A set of arm chairs had a tampered bottom which it would get jammed under. After testing with pillows, we fixed that by getting some grey open cell foam and cutting it so that it wedged under the chairs resulting in a flat edge.
Another thing that I discovered was that if you pick up the dinning chairs (we have a total of 12) the little Roomba completes the clean faster (1.5 hour compared to 3.5 hours) and can do a better job.
If you have a large house with a fairly open floor plan and not to much clutter I recommend it.
I have given it a 4 simply because i wish it could do the rug, and if it get stuck it doesn't always generate the map, but otherwise I have no complaints as the house is cleaner than ever before and I have a happy less stressed wife, but be warned, you may also turn into a clean floor freak once you get one!
:-)
My new best friend – We use our roomba on carpet and tile and it's awesome. Yes I need to grab another vac every now and then to get into spaces roomba can't but our carpets get so much more love now that we have roomba. And we have 2 dogs and it picks up HEAPS of their hair. LOVE IT. Show details · 2
terrible customer service – I needed spare parts as well as a service - wrote to them and still waiting for a response a year ago. Terrible
Love this robot vacuum – I've had the IRobot for a couple years now and it makes keeping our house clean a breeze! I have a dog that loses a fair bit of hair and roomba does a great job of picking them up as well as any dust and dirt. No it doesn't get under very low furniture or into tiny spaces (areas that are narrower than its width) but nor does a normal vacuum… Read more
cleaner, and just like normal vacuuming you have to clear the floor of objects if you want to clean underneath them. My only (minor) negative is the dust bin is a little small and needs to be emptied every couple of uses.
Totally in love with my machine – After reading countless reviews from this website I decided that this one was the best value for money. Easy to set up, does a fantastic job at cleaning the floors and navigating around the furniture. I find myself just watching it in awe. How did I manage without it? Everyone should own one! Ease of use A LITTLE on the noisy side
Time saving delight – We live on acreage with 3 horses, husband, 3 children and the rag doll cat so the floors were a constant nightmare. A friend recommended the Roomba but I already had a cheaper and inferior version that was a waste of time, money and space for our place. Finally, I spent the $600 and have not been sorry at all! I still feel the need to pull out the… Read more
dyson once a week for a really good clean before mopping but the Roomba keeps the floors looking great. We have a large residence with tiles, carpet and wood floors and it works well on all. The virtual wall means I can contain the Roomba in the large open plan area we have so that it just does the kitchen. Or lounge area when needed. Does what it says it can do!
More trouble than it's worth – I bought this product because I live in a house with large rooms and vacuuming is very hard on my body and at times simply not possible. I was sceptical but found that the Roomba does a fairly good job in picking up dirt, and was extremely pleased with how quiet it is. However, it takes me possibly just as long to pick up everything off the… Read more
floor, move furniture, large items and ornaments out of the way, and also the virtual walls never worked for me, so I have to divide large open floor areas with furniture, books under chairs, wooden boards, etc.
I tried to find out about the virtual walls not working but haven't been able to talk to anyone and nothing would make them work.
Also, the skirting boards and corners still need doing manually, the same as under very low furniture or in small places in between furniture that cannot be moved, etc, which means then finishing the job manually.
The worst problem about the Roomba is that it requires constant cleaning after every single room, the dust canister is just too small. And it's not a case of emptying the dust bin and put it back again, the brushes, filter section, front wheel have to be pulled apart and cleaned constantly as everything gets caught in them forming a thick fluffy coat that covers everything. Brushes, inside and side ones, get fluff, small threads and anything that won't break caught around them that have to be pulled out or cut out, quite time consuming and annoying, even with the round hard brush provided.
The unit also needs recharging a lot which takes hours, usually overnight, so once back on the docking station and charging, forget about continuing with the vacuum on other rooms in a short period of time unless you have just finished a small room.
I have now had to buy another normal vacuum cleaner to compensate. Not having to do the job manually. Very quiet. Moving or lifting chairs, ornaments etc. Constant brushes and small parts cleaning and long recharging time.
ummmmm.... so you expected the robotic vacuum cleaner to move your furniture for you, climb up your… Read more (+1 reply)
great little machine – This machine does everything they claim it does. There is only one draw back it is a little bit loud at night time, but perfect during the day, and I would have loved it to have come with two virtual invisible wall barriers as most of my house is open plan and each room has two exits. Excellent machine and would have no hesitation to recommend it to others. great time saver a bit noisy

great vacum – Just bought one what a little ripper i should have got one sooner saves alot of work and time ..does anyone know when it returns to base is the clean light suppose to be on when its charging?its nice to put it on and go do something else like hang washing out or go shopping
One of My Favorites – I have had the I-robot for 2 years, I love this, it is great for keeping the dust down and the floor clean. I only use it as a floor sweeper on hard floors over a large area. It doesnt replace your vacuum. I dont use it on carpet as my carpet is a pure wool heavy twist pile I find it scuffs up the wool pile and leaves lines. I have a room with… Read more
wool carpet that is a loop pile that works ok but also find fills with fluff quickly here and as it has rotating brushes I am still dubious of damage to the wool carpet also but no lines left on this one. For the working woman coming home to a clean tile floor is wonderful. I am now considering the scooba. Great hard floor sweeper. No good on carpet.
Very happy with product – Got a irobot from ebay purchase from a local, uses it and it really very good. Good and clean, excited. really clean my carpet require a travel plug and my dog keep chasing it...
Good – It will not do away with a manual vacuum clean from time to time. Particularly edges near skirting boards or in sharp corners. On the other hand, I have emptied a full dust collector from the Roomba after setting it going in a room I had just vacuumed conventionally. I am continually surprised at just how well such a low powered, brush and tiny… Read more · 1
vacuum works. It works perfectly well on carpet.
Disagree with other reviews -
Dog hair - It will pick this up quite well, even on carpet, though you do spend a great deal of time pulling hair out of the brush afterwards. The supplied cleaning tool certainly helps, but it still takes a good five to ten minutes to service the Roomba before using it next time.
Cleaning pattern - If you watch it for a short time, it does seem to keep tracking over the same area, but I find it will cover all of the areas I set for it during a session. Robotic - you go and have a coffee while it works. It will even return to its charging station when finished.
Thorough - does areas, like under beds, that usually never get done High maintenance - brushes need much attention
GREAT PRODUCT!! – I love my roomba 530 and 577 (George and Macca) lol.....they do a fantastic job. They are very quiet and do a wonderful job. I have recently purchased a couple of cheaper models for the bedroom area (we have a large house) DON'T, they are complete rubbish. They have no power, keep stopping all the time, love to climb furniture and the list goes… Read more · 1
on. Hence they are about to taken back to where I bought them from.
If you want quality you have to pay the price. I just love coming home after working all day knowing that my roombas have been over the floors for me. Walking into a nice clean home after been at work is a wonderful feeling.
Jan Mac. Quiet, reliable, does an excellent job Nothing.....if you want quality you have to pay for it!!
Rosie is great – Recommended by friends - Pros - I have found the roomba excellent. Cleans very well both carpet and smooth surfaces and goes under beds - fantastic. I use it in our home and in our Bed and Breakfast. I clean other things while it does its thing. Cons - You still have to dust skirting boards when you think its is necessary. The rollers get… Read more
full of fluff etc. but the tool to clean them works well or I just use the air on our compressor from the shed occasionally for a super clean of filter and rollers. But I dont mind as I have vacuuming.
Overall it is a pretty amazing machine that really cleans.
