assigned us seats. After repeated back-and-forth, we were finally dumped into economy seats on a flight departing in 10 minutes, despite being booked in premium economy, and had to run to the gate.

For the last three weeks—during what should have been our dream trip to Antarctica/Patagonia—we’ve spent an unreasonable amount of time fighting both LatAm and JetAbroad to prevent this happening again. We’ve emailed JetAbroad’s CEO and senior staff multiple times and received no response.

Right now, days before departure, JetAbroad still has not ensured we have correct and complete documentation that matches what the airline says we are booked on. We genuinely don’t know if we’ll even be able to check in.

This is unacceptable. JetAbroad needs to urgently fix our booking and documentation and take accountability. We've emailed their leadership team multiple times via email addresses found online and the response is silence.

that all tickets on our desired dates were sold out and asked us to provide new dates. Instead, they should have provided the available alternative dates for us to choose from.

When I checked myself, I found that tickets were still available through alternative routes. I then requested information on how much refund we would receive if we cancelled the flights that go via the Middle East, so I could quickly purchase the available tickets before they sold out.

Unfortunately, it has been two days with no response. Their phone is unanswered, emails are ignored, and enquiries through their own system remain unanswered.

Based on this experience, I will never use Jetabroad again.

flight to catch up on our travels. However as a result of our missed first flight, the airline auto-cancelled all other three flights. Jetabroad soon informed us about this and I requested their urgent help via a phone call to somehow resolve the mess that we had found ourselves in - and they obliged. Jetabroad NZ staff were very empathetic and worked hard to re-issue our e-tickets a.s.a.p. (obviously for a re-issue fee). As a result of their urgent work and prompt communication via mail and phone we were able to proceed with our planned travels. Without them that would simply not have been possible. So full credit to the NZ office of Jetabroad. You guys rock!

 Follow-up  · The insurance claim for having to make the additional costs (catch-up flight plus ticket re-issue fee) was approved. Apart from the policy excess (NZ$200) we've been re-imbursed. And again Jetabroad played an important role in that process as well by providing the additional service of writing a no-show letter that our insurance company had asked for. If I could give Jetabroad a sixth star, I'd do it.

split into two equal payments: - I paid one half ($1,251.30) using a Zip Pay single-use Visa card ending in 8586. - My friend paid the other half ($1,251.32) using his own card ending in 1968.

When I cancelled the trip due to a medical issue (with a hospital certificate), Jetabroad eventually issued a refund — but they refunded my friend’s card, not mine.

Despite me supplying: - My original payment receipt via Zip - The Jetabroad-issued receipt showing the refund went to card 1968 (not mine) - Screenshots of the booking showing the split between two passengers and two payments - Confirmation from Zip Pay that no refund has ever reached my card - Visa transaction summaries

…Jetabroad still refuses to acknowledge the mistake.

Instead, they repeatedly send robotic responses claiming “the refund went to the original payment method.” That’s the problem — they refunded the wrong method. They refunded a card I don’t own. And now that I’ve proven it beyond doubt, they’ve started trying to blame me for “not informing them” that the second card belonged to a friend — despite the booking clearly listing two people and two split payments.

This is either willful incompetence or strategic avoidance.

Zip Pay has now escalated the case through Visa’s dispute process, which they agreed to do despite it falling outside the usual 120-day timeframe — purely because the evidence is so clear and Jetabroad has been so uncooperative.

What’s truly appalling is that this could’ve been fixed with a simple review of the receipts side by side. Instead, Jetabroad has shown: - No ownership of the mistake - No accountability - No urgency — this has dragged on for almost a year

If you ever need to cancel a booking or get a refund, avoid Jetabroad at all costs. Their systems are fragile, their processes are broken, and once you’ve paid — you’re on your own.

They’ll blame you for their finance team’s mistakes, even when you show them the proof.

I will be pursuing this through Fair Trading QLD if not resolved, and I hope this review saves others the nightmare I’ve endured.

the installements before I could ask for a refund, which luckily was 80% of the original price. Once I had paid, the reimbursement was VERY fast, but I was still VERY stressed because I had to re-book our flights with another company. Shame! But it all worked out in the end. She was prompt with my requests and despite not needing further updates re website issues, she emailed me to inform this was fixed and I could proceed with logging in. Such great customer support!! helpful.They were patient and reassuring throughout, eventually offering me a full refund.

To my relief, the refund was processed on the second business day, even though they advised it might take up to three. I truly appreciate the prompt communication and smooth handling of the issue.

Overall, a very positive experience with Jetabroad's email support.

work required to keep our travel doable. I still have to pay booking fees, wait 4-6 weeks for a refund (minus fees), and rebook everything with only a few weeks left which means much higher costs. Essentially by booking with jetabroad I paid money to be stressed, let down and inevitably have to book a more expensive flight. Plus let’s not forget I still have to pay their ‘booking’ fees even though nothing is booked. I paid to be inconvenienced and stressed.

SCAM! This is a scam platform. You book a flight for a great value and they just cancel it within 24h losing your money! I usually fly 10x a year for the business and this was by far the worst platform I've ever used. I've NEVER experienced that somebody takes my money and they cancel it later on, sending you a st^pid email "sorry, the airlines cancelled your ticket". IT'S A SCAM PLATFORM! Show details

minutes. This time, due to the recent Iran conflict and high demand for flights, the situation was different. After purchasing a ticket in the evening I waited more than an hour without receiving confirmation. When trying to buy another ticket for my wife through a different agency, their system immediately showed that the same flight was no longer available. I briefly called Jetabroad but disconnected without leaving a message. I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email shortly afterwards acknowledging the call and saying they would get in touch. I then emailed them explaining the situation and saying I would be fine with a refund if the ticket could not be issued. The next morning I received confirmation that the ticket could not be issued and the payment had been refunded. The refund arrived very quickly, within about 24 hours, which I appreciated.

Two constructive points: 1. Jetabroad's system appears to allow purchases of tickets that are no longer available. Better synchronisation with airline inventory would prevent this. 2. The final email suggested the issue came from the airlines, while in practice inventory accuracy is largely the responsibility of the booking platform!

Overall, the situation was handled professionally and the communication and refund were very good.

Mind u, SQ did not levy cancellation fee at all, so the 40% "admin" cost is pure profit leveraging on my efforts.

Oh and to top it all up, my 60% refund only came back to my account 5months after the departure date. I hope Jetabroad made a tidy interest holding my funds for so long.

Terrible experience, never again.

I was left in Africa struggling financially and having to borrow money. Also trying to cancel other flights proved difficult and tiresome with multiple emails. There cancellation fees seems to change with different bookings and they also refunded me the wrong amount for one flight ($100 less than should have been). Do not use this travel agency. They failed to book one of the legs on our trip and we had to buy two new tickets at the last moment as we had an international connection. They also failed to include baggage on one of the legs and so both mistakes cost us over US$500.00.

Australia and Europe with a short layover (less than 3 hours) in a Euro city. They assured me that my carry-on baggage would be sent from origin to destination with no problems: “You have purchased a through fare, meaning that all of your flights are on one ticket and the included airlines are partners. This means, that once checked-in at your point of origin, your luggage should be checked all the way through to your final destination.”

But when I contacted the actual individual airline, they 100% contradicted JetAbroad: “Since your return flights are NON-PARTNER AIRLINES, you’d need to go through immigration, collect your baggage, check in again, and clear security. That would be extremely tight. You will need to rebook your return flight.”

Why a 3rd-party business would make life harder for the consumer is beyond me. Profit without morality, I guess. I had to fork out extra money to buy extra tickets directly from a different airline (an actual reputable company) because JetAbroad wouldn't give me a refund. Should've done this to begin with.

To make myself feel better, I google “the most amount of money I lost”, then binge-read everyone’s stories. “At least I didn’t lose $5K on gambling," I say to myself. I also remind myself how lucky I am that I wasn’t on the Air India Flight 171 crash. Yes… that’s how bleak JetAbroad makes you. AVOID JETABROAD AT ALL COSTS. Their mission is to make you pay extra money. The customer doesn't matter. Capitalism at its most crooked.

Fees are abusive – Booking is quite straightforward, and their response time is correct. However, they do charge a fee if the airline alters the itinerary. Passengers shouldn't be charged if the change originates from the airline. We booked our flights five months in advance; if the itinerary changes again, how many additional fees will we incur? This seems unreasonable and abusive. Not happy with that at all.
