Perfect for cleaning everything – I bought this as a father's day gift for my dad and he absolutely loves it! The surface cleaner is perfect for cleaning our driveway (which we hadn't cleaned in years) now it looks brand new. Also the foam bottle nozzle is so satisfying and makes me actually want to wash my car more frequently.

Purchased in at Karcher for $1,079.

Quality for the price but has drawbacks – Given the price range the power and quality is good. The variable pressure lance and turbo head have more than enough power for almost all residential jobs. The hose however is a nightmare. Kinks easy and very difficult to roll back up. Theres aftermarket hoses from karcher which dont have this issue. If this hose was supplied I'd give it 5 stars.

Purchased in at Bunnings Warehouse Retail Stores for $899.

Good (not great) pressure washer – My old K2 pressure washer conked out after many years of faithful service (not completely dead, but not worth the bother to resurrect it), so I looked at the latest range Karcher has to offer. I decided on the K5 as a compromise between pressure & price. Assembly went without a hitch. I used the instructions on the Karcher App (more about that later), but it is so straight forward that I really didn’t need to. First impressions are that this is a solid and hefty bit of kit. The handle and decent size wheels make it easy to move about. I wouldn’t want to have to carry it a lot (eg up and down stairs). I’ve used it a few times and, so far, it has lived up to expectations. It has plenty of pressure, and it easy to use. There are a few niggly things though.

1. The App is pretty much a waste of time. If you’re buying a pressure washer, chances are you know what pressure to use on different surfaces, and know to sweep the wand back and forth! 2. The hose reel is pretty good, but if you wind it the ‘logical’ way to stow the hose (clockwise), you’ll put a serious kink in the hose as I did. I’ve possibly shortened the life of the hose as a result. If I’d paid better attention I would have noticed this, but it feels weird to me winding the ‘wrong way’ (so I’m bound to do it again in the future). 3. The wand storage on the front of the washer body doesn’t properly hold the two wands provided. Surely this could have been better designed. I’ll probably end up adding some loops or clips etc to hold these better. 4. It takes a reasonable effort to hold the trigger on and that gets tiring on long jobs. There is no button etc to hold the trigger on. I’ll probably add a Velcro strap around the grip so I can wrap it around the trigger.

Purchased in for $769.
