Cons: Live electrical current passes through your body. See description of experience.
Overall: It took me a couple of months to finally figure out the strange phenomenon that was occurring when my children would come and wake me up in the morning. When one of my children stood next to my bed and touched me to wake me up, we would both feel a frightening (although not painful) vibration on the skin with a humming feeling like... "vvvvv". It's hard to describe. I was concerned and puzzled. After it happened a few times, it occurred to me it could be the electricity in my Kingdom fitted electric blanket. My kids and I did a few tests and realised it was happening whenever I was in or on the bed and they were standing on the floor (ie "grounded"). It also happened when the blanket was turned off but still plugged into the powerpoint. When I realised I had been sleeping with electicity going through me, I was horrified! I am so cross that these dodgy products are available in Australia. I have just located my Receipt and intend to return it to Harris Scarfe this weekend.

Pros: fitted and dual control as well as price
Cons: when the electric blanket is on electricity transmitts through the body to any surface that is touched ie a marble top bedside table or metal base table lamp in my place. What is wrong is that when the blanket is turned off at the control this power transmission continues. This happens through the whole blanket even if the side you are on is turned off and the duel control on the other side is turned off.The only way to stop this is to turn off at the power point. This means that owners of the blanket have an electric current passing through them all night is the use the control for on and off.I am surprised that this would be allowed in Australia let alone by Spotlight who carry this product exclusively.
Overall: Not good for your health or sleep. Electric current should not transmit through the body especially when the product is turned off at the control.

Pros: Purchased almost a year ago & still heats well, & quickly, both sides.
Cons: Does not stay 'fitted'; slips down & across the mattress, and bunches, under sheet. Blanket in itself has become 'bunched' and warped around certain sections of the element and no longer flattens out; has not worn well.
Overall: Have been disappointed in poor fitting & condition (both of which have become a real nuisance) of a blanket that works well, but will unfortunately have to be replaced, after only one Winter's usage, because of these factors.
