A lot of money for a kettle which won't switch off – First one had to be replaced due to product recall current kettle worked fine for a while now keeps boiling until it runs dry. Show details
Lid is dreadful – So the first one we bought the lid would not open - at all. Company was very good and replaced it, but the second one had similar issues you really had to fiddle with the lid to open it. When it worked it worked really well, Loved the ability to select the temperature. Now out of warranty and just like that it stops working completely . Not worth… Read more
the money. There are other brands available that have temperature controls at a far better price, and lets face it, if a kettle is only going to last a couple of years we might as well buy a less expensive brand.
Worked well until it worked very poorly then not at all – Good looking kettle that we spent extra on to upspec to this reputable brand. Was quiet and quick the. Just like other people have reported however, after about two years reliable use the kettle would get stuck at around 80 degrees and would take about 10minutes to reach 100 degrees. During which it would release clouds of steam into the house.… Read more
We would have to watch it like we would a kettle on the stove. It was after about 6 months of enduring this steamy situation that the kettle finally gave up the ghost. The digital readout still works as a display when kettle popped on its base but kettle will not increase temp beyond 27 degrees? Put it in the hard rubbish tonight. we are disappointed that a premium product performed so poorly!

Absolute Junk – Had it for 3 years lid wouldn't open properly had to hold button down while using other finger to lift lid. Just today the lid broke and the handle separated a little. Lucky I didn't scald myself. As I decided to put on Product Review I've just learned that there is a Product Recall on this kettle. Buyer Beware, save your money.

Great product – We are very very happy with this Kettle, now about 3 years old and has never missed a beat. Love the feature that keeps the water just below boiling point. It would seem that some others haven't had the same experience, however I am buying another one for our second home.
Overall good experience – Bought in 2015. Got product recall in 2018, received the new unit and still working well until now. - downside is only the push button, feels a bit wobbly. - easy to see the water levels, they put the measure lines very clearly - average speed test - don’t touch the metal surface, it’s hot... just the plastic covered handles Show details
She's Gorgeous and works very well – I like everything about this kettle, she boils quietly, quickly and the option of choosing the temperature was a great selling point for me. Heavier that our previous kettle, which was plastic, but this is fine and as expected. Pours very well and also the keep warm option is great. I bought this kettle and matching toaster to compliment my… Read more
KitchenAid Stand Mixer in Pistachio as well direct from KitchenAid website. Their service was very quick and efficient.
Negative reviews
Was good at first – Was doing an awesome tactical advantage job at first. Mega elite fast enough boiling water. Safe On the outside compared to other electric kettles as Sealed. Next thing I know the lid doesn't even open up properly. The thing has now got a crack in the base And is leaking water in the base. I'm going to have to agree with the other reviews Get a better model Show details
Lid does not Open – My kids gave this kettle as a gift to my wife about 2 and a half years ago and about a year into it, the lid started to play up and now it just does not open at all. I got in contact with Kitch aid and was told that the kettle is now out of date and nothing can be done. I have seen so many owners of this kettle with the same issue and it is… Read more
rather appalling for such a reputable company to release a subclass product that only lasts just till the end of warranty and we have paid a premium price for it. The cheaper brands last longer than this. Highly disappointed.
This kettle is not worth the money or the time – I cashed in my Flybuys points to get this so called good brand kettle and a matching toaster. The toaster was just out of warranty and blew up along with my house fuse! The kettle was just out of warranty and the thumb Start/Cancel button fell out of the top of kettle always falling onto bench and we have to put it back each time we boil it. I… Read more
rang the company who didn't care less! Then came a Recall notice and I rang re that but they said our kettle did not come under the recall. They don't care! I get nothing for all those Flybuy points I cashed on those two items. The kettle was also very LOUD and one could not hear TV or one another when it was boiling. I will never buy Kitchen Aide products again.

Just won't turn on – Kettle just refuses to switch on. It is only 2yr old and hardly used in that time. Given the price I paid for it it I am extremely disappointed. Better off with a cheap Kmart kettle. Show details
Rarely used and died 4 weeks after two year warranty ended. Lid never worked – Fancy design which looks trendy. Lid never worked. Was always used properly but was also used rarely. In spite of this the kettle died four weeks after the two year warranty ended. Cheap Target Kettle was still going six years after we bought it. We only got rid of it in order to upgrade to something that looked nicer. Next time will prioritize function over form. Show details
water's boiling at (displayed) 84 degree forever! – After using it for just one year, the temperature sensor was out of order. Then the water is boiling at a displayed 84 degree. Since it is 84 degree not 100, the kettle won't stop it unless we take it out from the stand. Show details

I thought the kettle would be of better quality for this price! – Hi Well, I have had this kettle for 2 years and 8 months. It works well and the controls are easy and simple to use. However for a kettle of this price range, I would have expected it to be fault free for longer than the 2 year warranty (or 2 years and 8 months in this case). It has produced an intermittent fault, where it simply won't do… Read more
anything. I have to empty the kettle, shake it and after doing this a few times it works again.
Contacted kitchen aid and basically they don't care as it is it of warranty. Got a 10% off a new kettle offer, but why would I do that when I have a $15 kettle that has worked faultless for over 5 years (admittedly it doesn't look as fancy, but it keeps on boiling water).
I feel not impressed with the non caring attitude of kitchen aid. I was kind of very proud of the product, however now knowing that the quality in my opinion is not up to the price tag requested, is kinda grounding! I believed I got a quality product, but it isn't living up to the name brand in my opinion.
only boils to 95C . This can't be right – We've had this kettle a couple of years. It has recently developed a strange trait. The water boils (and keeps on boiling.....) but the temp reg shows only 95C (This is Canada). As a result it keeps on boiling the bubbling water and won't reach the auto shut off. Show details
Garbage... Save your Money – Unreliable, keeps switching itself off randomly. When on 100 degrees it never switches off at all. It's not worth bothering with. Loads of faults and replaced in a little over a year of very light usage... Absolute waste of money... Looks nice though. Show details
Terrible product and terrible customer service – I received this kettle as a wedding present less than two years ago. It wasn’t cheap. The temperature reading is completely inaccurate and it boils without stopping at sub-100 degrees. I’ve emailed the warranty department and sent a message via their FB page, but not even a response. I’ve been wanting to purchase the KitchenAid mixer, and… Read more
literally have it pending in my shopping cart, but no way will I purchase anything else based on the terrible service.
Faulty lid – I had my first KA kettle for over 3yrs and had to send it back due to a recall, however mine was working perfect. Now the replacement kept having the issue with the lid. So I claimed warranty with KitchenAid, and they replaced it immediately. Then a week or so later same issue occured, so they replaced it again. Then the new one immediately had an… Read more
issu whilst brand new from the box, so they replaced it again! Now it's been 10 mts and the issue has once again occured, and now they will be replacing it with a new model that has been released this year. And the operator said so far there hasn't been any issue with the lid, BUT! Of course there's other issues. I just hope the replacement doesn't blow up, and any fault should still be kept under warranty. But we'll see as the operator advised that the warranty for this now faulty item is near its warranty period and she was happy to honour a replacement. This kettle has a standard 2yrs warranty from new.
Terrible kettle and terrible service – We were given this kettle and had no papers. It is a terrible product. We had a different brand of kettle with the temp control but put aside for the new Kitchenaid one. The operation Of the product was terrible.i emailed Kitchenaid twice and got no response.what sort of service is this
Inaccurate temperature control. Annoying interface. Poor build quality – Temperature can easily be +/- 10C out of reported temperature. Button broke off. Won't show current temperature when you place it back on the base, meaning you have to start to boil again to see the current temperature then stop it. Fine if you only ever boil to 100C, I guess. But don't rely on any of its useful features. Show details
Don't buy this item – Stay away from this Kettle.... The power to the Start button keeps going on and off. To make it worse I returned a Black KitchenAid Kettle 10 months old into a two Warranty to The Good Guys Osborne Park. Was informed no stock of Black, need to wait four weeks for new one, okay fine. However the new stock is an upgraded model so I need to pay $96… Read more
more, why?! I purchased a number of Black KitchenAid items, yes it was on sale but now being held to ransom to pay full price later when it needs replacement even though its under Warranty. Terrible customer service, I said you will be replacing this faulty kettle with a new one from KitchenAid right? What is the difference? $96 more to replace a faulty kettle? Scam artists. Its not easy to get return customers, I am gone for life and will spread the word to everyone I know to stay away from The Good Guys Osborne Park. Harvey Norman down the road is bigger. Kitchen Warehouse across the carpark 100 x better service and even cheaper!
Luv this kettle – I love the look of this kettle, available in a range of colours. Good size, 1.7l lt with clear strip showing water level. Very solidly built, lovely quiet operation. Features a hold temperature setting as well as selecting the temperature you would like. Recommended! Show details

I like it but – I mainly purchased this kettle (from Good Guys Tempe) as I had a voucher that needed to be used instore. I hadn't purchased KitchenAid before so wasn't that sure about the brand. Things I love about it; - Great red colour and finish - the blue light temperature display - adjustable temperature which I was sceptical about but there is actually a… Read more
big difference between boiling to 90C or 100C - nice stainless steel inside - not too heavy - handle on side (not above lid) - cordless Things I haven't liked; - I am now on my 3rd kettle in 2 years - first one was sent back due to a recall - something about a faulty handle. - got sent another - had problems with the opening button on lid - still in warranty - sent me a new one
No problems so far although the open button is a little touchy. Probably only gets used once or twice a day. I must say the customer service when returning was always good. But I don't know if I would purchase KitchenAid again due to inconsistent quality.
What a Dud – This is the third Artisan kettle to die within 2 years. The first one lasted 4 months and was replaced by Kitchen Aid. The replacement lasted two months. Now the third replacement kettle has just dies again . Our Kitchen Aid toaster also died with 12 months. Never again!!! Show details
Amazing, I love it – Looks great, heats quickly. Love being able to set the temperature and hold it for 30 minutes. No problems at all. It’s super quiet. Overall I’m very happy with it. Show details
Second kettle with lid issue!! – Within 6 months I am now returning my second kettle. Expect better quality given the brand and as much as I love the look, cannot continue to replace it for the same reason. Extremely disappointed and based on the number of people experiencing this issue I would have expected it be taken seriously and a total recall or new model introduced by now. No amount of color options is going to cut it. Show details
Excellent kettle & customer service – We love our Kettle, received a replacement for the recall last year (we were lucky not to have had any issues). After about 9 months our lid button jammed. I emailed KitchenAid Sunday night and had a replacement kettle no questions asked by Thursday. Really impressed with the customer service! Show details
Very noisy when boiling water and lid difficult to open – I received a replacement kettle due to recall but the replacement is extremely noisy when boiling water. The lid is difficult to open which results in me filling via spout. I expected better from a KitchenAid product. Show details
Super quiet, efficient and quick to boil – Easy to see the water level. Quiet and quick to boil. The kettle itself is not too heavy. It looks lovely and pours well too. Will post again if I find issues. Show details
Kitchenaid jug lid faulty – This was a gift to my mum and after about 6 months the lid had become very difficulty for her to open. Not gd value for money. Very disappointed in what was supposed to be a reputable appliance. Show details
meh!! – I purchased this kettle along with the matching toaster through Flybuys (points and cash). I am disappointed with the product due to button not working on the lid. You need to push button down and lift lid with another finger as it doesn't pop up on it's own. I have also had the kettle not connecting properly with the base, needing to take it… Read more
on and off, on the odd occasion. The kettle and toaster are at a ridiculous price for the quality. More stringent testing is needed for these products to be remotely worth what is charged. I have also written a review for the toaster which is a failure as well. I would like a refund.

I am so disappointed with this kettle – Loved the look of kettle and easy use of temperature gauge. However we have had kettle replaced twice due to opening button not working after a few weeks.I did email Kitchenaid with no reply so then rang them and was told that there was no problem with kettle.I note other reviews have had same issue. Good product and customer service – i have 3 products from Kitchenaid and their customer service is good based on my experience. The kettle didn't turn on down after a month and after a quick call, within a week we received a new one and we havent had any problem since then. It looks good and have been using it for more than 2.5 years now without any change in the look or function. Show details
Wish I’d never bought it – I bought my first one 3 yrs ago and then a recall replacement about 6 months ago. Both times the Lid opening mechanism failed within 3 months, however sometimes it does open. The first kettle occasionally failed to switch off at all and the replacement is even worse. It is not left unattended in the kitchen now as it is too dangerous. Email to… Read more
