Great powerful Vacuum still going strong after 7 years – I like to give credit when credit is due and this applies for my Kogan Cyclonic vacuum cleaner. Purchased over 6 years ago for $129 and used weekly mainly on hard timber & tiled floors. It is extremely powerful with a 2200 watt motor. To be honest I wasn't expecting it to last too long for the price I paid at the time but it is still working as… Read more
well as the day I purchased it. I like to give the two air filters and main cyclonic chamber a good clean every 3 months with my workshop air compressor to ensure any build up of dust & dirt doesn't occur. I think this help prolong the life of the unit. The only issue I've encountered is when it is heavily used it tends to get very hot and stops working until it cools down. But this doesn't happen very often. Everything is still working well (retractable cord and on/off switch) and its showing no signs of slowing down. I suppose I was one of the lucky ones.
Useless waste of time and money – What waste, Kogan gave it a great review. NO suck, won't pick up a cat biscuit let along dirt and fluff. Pet hair brush does absolutely nothing. Takes all day to vac a house, with it shutting off and waiting for it to cool down. My cheap Kmart one did a better job. No wonder it's been discontinued! Never again will I buy their products! NOTHING Keeps shutting down and won't suck.
Kogan Multi-Cyclonic Bagless – I had the Kogan vacuum for 2 years and I am not at all happy with it. It has very poor suction and both of the vacuum heads broke very easy. The dust bun was also fiddley to change not at all good if you have allergies. Overall don't waste your money and pay a little more for something better. Long power cord Bad vacuum heads that brake easy, Bulkey , Bad suction, Dust bin is messy to empity.
Disappointing after sales service – The vacuum cleaner is so-so but it's lasted me 2 years sucking up cat fur so it's not terrible. HOWEVER, i'm very disappointed with the lack of spare parts provided after sale. The machine is still working except for the plastic swivel on the vacuum head. It plays a pivotal role but is very flimsy. Just looking at it, the plastic part can be… Read more
easily removed and replaced IF i only had a spare. Think of the waste that can be saved if we fixed things rather than throw away a working product just because it lacked a spare bit of plastic. Guess it's the gaffer tape for me now.
Come on Kogan, you can do better than this!
flimsy parts, no spare parts for sale.
Kogan multi-cyclonic bagless - Worst vac I have ever owned – This vac was delivered to me and it looked like it was a factory second. The power cord was grazed on the side and bent prongs where it goes into the power point. The suction is terrible. I am wondering if there is something seriously wrong with it. It's cheap and plasticy. The length of the chord is so short you would have to change power… Read more
points in one large room to reach desired floor area. Very disappointed!
Power, there is virtually NO suction and chord is too short.
Waste of time and money – Took weeks to actually get the vacuum and then no suction and kept turning itself off from overheating on two normal sized rooms. Will be asking for money back and will look elsewhere. I must admit I have brought the same type of Kogan vacuum previously and it took 2 years to show the loss of suction and overheating. Definitely would expect the same from a brand new machine though. Won't suck and overheats constantly
don't waste your money – on/off switch has never worked, cord rewind switch makes it go, most of the time. works ok if u empty canister frequently,4-5 times per whole house vacuum, and need to clean filter every time. numerous emails to kogan, they keep asking if i have cleaned the filters..ok for tiny house or caravan i suppose... price, free delivery does not work properly, high maintenance
Cheap price cheap quality – Used twice then it overheats and turns off and has no suction. I did see a large piece of casting plastic stuck inside its suction tract but the motor burnt out and sounded like a 747 taking off. Kogan did refund the full amount including postage and I bought a Hoover for $179 (best vacuum I have owned). It was cheaper than almost any other vacuum, Kogan refunded no suction, cheap plastic, motor burnt out after 2 runs
Hopeless waste of time and money – This is the worst vacuum cleaner which make terribale noise and does not suck anything. Advertisement stated that "no loss of suction" but it has lost its suction in about 5 to 6 usages. I have contacted Kogan on 23rd November 2012 but there is still no solution to it. You can imagine the support you get from them, its frustrating!
Doesnt even deserve 1 star – Vacuum worked properly for all of two times. it is a pathetic excuse for a vacuum. Kogan staff are of the same quality as vacuum. I want my money back and time spent rubbing the floor hoping it would suck up bits of fluff and other tiny particles of rubbish.
Kogan Junk – I purchased one of these vacuums and it is junk. So noisy and doesn’t pick up anything. I unfortunately allowed my son to also get a TV from Kogan which is rubbish also. Lag on all PS3 games and the voice is out of sync on movies – not much help from the customer service team either – oh yeah and the TV was purchased on Live price and came 6… Read more
weeks after the advertised delivery date, I do not recommend Kogan products
Noisy, no suction, dosent empty vary easily
Rubbish – Dont buy one of these cheap pieces of junk . Mine overheats and shuts down from new and wouldnt suck a cigarette paper up . You get what you pay for and aint that the truth.I should send it back but its too much drama so i will just bin it and buy a good one overheats and shuts down and no suck
Be aware of overheating Kogan vac. Mine worked for only 10 minutes at a time. The last time it was… Read more
another reasonable kogan product – got one of the first kogan vacuum cleaners after buying a number of other kogan products, was very impressed with suction and the amount of dust it picked up, only gripe was the cost of the replacement air cleaner kit including postage relatively inexpensive when it first came out although other vacuums have been heavily discounted to catch up… Read more
high cost of replacement air filters $29 for a vacuum cleaner that is listed at currently for $79, add the postage and it is about half of the unit price

Great value vacuum cleaner – At a fraction of the average price of vacuum cleaners available in stores today, you are getting real value with this Kogan vacuum cleaner. Strong and effortless suction and an easy-to-clean canister makes vacuuming easy. I have had vacuum cleaners that cost two to three times more but do not work as well in comparison. I definitely recommend this vacuum cleaner from Kogan. Suction power and price Show reply
No suction loss - right, because there is nothing to loose! – Was silly of me to expect from a $69 vacuume a miracle - but reading reviews on Kogan's website (I honestly think now they are writing them themselves, as I couldn't find how to write a review there myself and all the reviews there are wonderful). What can I say - where is the suction? There is none. With all that 2000W and noise it is making -… Read more
all it can collect well is dust, the rest is the struggle for it. The only thing that saves this vacuume is the power head (no wonder it is included, whithout it, it is just patting the carpets). If it wasn't so much effort to return it I would, but for the price it cost me, it is just not worth the effort and will do for the occasional reminder to never ever buy things without trying/seeng them first. I am looking for another vacuume still. Price No suction at all, noisy
Ha-ha, how about Kogan's reply about how to write a review on their product on their website: … Read more
Good at the start - very good option for a cheap vacuum – Great value and does a pretty decent job but you get what you pay for. It isn't as good as a Dyson however it is one-tenth the price so you have to be realistic in your expectations. The vacuum works well in our place which is pretty small. Look suction and comes with two heads - one mechanical for the carpets (great at picking up hair)… Read more
and one conventional for other places.
Filters are really expensive - around $25 by the time you get them delivered. They need to be replaced every few months if you want to maintain the same level of suction as when you first vacuum.
Overall feels like a pretty solid build however the power button on our machine broke so obviously not the highest of quality.
If you don't want to fork out a lot for a vacuum - this is a great entry level product!! Really good suction, multiple heads. Power button broke, support team had 4 back and forths before a pick up could be arranged. Filters are very expensive.
