It’s also pretty quiet, which is a nice bonus, and the attachments make it super versatile for corners, furniture, and even the car. The vacuum bags are easy to change and not too messy, though they do add a bit to the running cost. Still, totally worth it for how clean it gets the place.

Very Disappointed – After 12 months of purchasing this vacuum and minor usage, I have decided to review it. After doing a great deal of research and reading reviews… Read more

from Choice on the Sebo K3 Premium I decided to purchase one. I really needed a quality vacuum that cleaned deeply and got rid of dirt and pet hair.

Nowhere did I read that beware using the motor head on certain carpet! The motor head is so powerful with hard bristles and spins furiously.

First try using the cleaner I ran it over a section of my carpet and to my horror it fluffed up my loop pile carpet causing damage. It wasn’t until I read the small print in the paperwork that it said not to use on any form of loop pile carpet.

On my timber floors it’s not that much better than my Dyson.

It has great suction and runs really quietly. Build is quality but it’s cumbersome to drag around and the hose is always kinking and cutting the air flow. The power cord is so touchy and just starts retracing back into the cleaner and reefing out of the power point.

I am really thankful that I still have my Dyson cordless to use, so quick and easy! I use it religiously and might get out the Sebo every month or two for a deeper clean using the standard head!

Now after purchasing in September 2022 it is playing up and continuously with the power cutting off. Obviously some sort of connection issue? You have to jiggle the cord or hose to get it running. The suction is also inconsistent. Such a shame as it is a sturdy powerful and quiet machine.

I am so disappointed that I spent so much money on a corded vacuum where you even have to change the bags.

up dog hair any better than a cheap one. Can't be used on loops pile carpet and too heavy for stairs. Someone was smoking something bad when they designed it. The brush is part of the the handle so impossible to get cobwebs. The brush hairs fallout. (Emailed Miele and no reply) The canister is small and have to stop and go behind to see how much is in the canister. Insane design. The turbo brush is ok but hates threads or bits of paper and other things so sweep first.

cheaper replacements that seem to work fine. We've had no reliability issues and it's working well. It has decent suction on it, so it can be quite hard to vacuum carpet given there's no powerhead attached. But hard floors are pretty straightforward and you can turn down the suction levels for carpet to make it a bit easier to push back and forth.

Great vacuum I've had 5 yrs! Must clean regularly – I use this vacuum weekly on both (various) carpet /rugs and hard flooring. It performs admirably. It has never overheated or stopped working. I am… Read more

methodical in emptying and washing all parts after use as the filters and barrel pick up very fine dust. Without this the vacuum would fail. This is the point of a bag less vacuum. You don't have the environmental waste of bags and the extra cost of purchase incurred. However, the machine doesn't self clean!!! It rolls well. and only tips if you don't line it up sensibly whilst using. Sort of like driving a car if you don't take a corner well! The only problem I have encountered is the electrical cord retraction mechanism is engaged in a slow movement as soon as I put the cord out. I have solved this by placing a peg up close to the vacuum for the duration of vacuuming and then pressing the retract button the cord disappears with ease. For a very cheap vacuum I'd give it a big thumbs up. TEMPO appear to be the company contracted to supply Aldi vacuum filters and parts. It is a bit disconcerting that you don't appear to be able to order online or see the filter parts. I contacted them by email and they were very responsive but asked that I order over the phone. There is a warning in small red print at the end of the email about scammers possibly contacting and not to respond. Perhaps they have encountered problems? Anyway the filters seemed reasonable in price - no different to other filter prices - approx $20. I am ordering the filters or perhaps only filter tomorrow. So I can't give feedback on that. So the filters have lasted 5 years too! Overall I'd give it a 5 out of 5 for it's innings and performance.

Hoover Regal 9001PH Potentially Lethal Electrical Shock from faulty product and no support from Hoover – Please be aware the metal wand on these vacuums is not grounded to earth. My daughter's vacuum had a manufacturing fault where the 240 volt wiring… Read more

that passes through the wand to power the head was pinched between the plastic end cap and the metal wand. The sharp edge of the metal wand penetrated the insulation on the wiring causing the wand to become live. My daughter received a nasty electrical shock that could easily have been fatal.

Hoover would not provide support as the vacuum was bought from Godfreys who had gone into “receivership”. My daughter bought the vacuum specifically because it was branded Hoover and had the reasonable expectation it was a genuine Hoover product backed by Hoover.

Unfortunately I do not know if the sale of this product constitutes deceptive advertising and sales practices, I can only say that my daughter felt deceived by the use of the Hoover name and the Hoover trademark on a product that is not supported by Hoover.

I am frankly appalled and deeply concerned for the safety of other users of this product. It is very disappointing to have to write this review for a brand I had previously regarded as iconic and whose strong reputation, built over many decades, appears to have been sadly eroded.

I did approach the Godfreys receivers (PWC) with this issue, alas to no avail. I have also raised the issue with Choice ACA who recommended the vacuum in their 2023 review and notified the ACCC of my concerns regarding this product.

This vacuum is labelled as "double insulated" and has no earth pin on its power plug, however the vacuum wand tube is metal and has a label warning "Danger Live Parts Within". With no earth pin on the power plug it is not possible for the metal wand to be connected to ground. It is concerning that an exposed metal tube containing live components is part of a product labelled "double insulated". Usually exposed metal parts on mains connected appliances are firmly connected to ground to avoid the possibility of becoming live should a wire come loose or other fault occur.

I'm a dog and cat owner with hard floors and a few rugs. Bags for my old barrel electrolux became difficult to find (and I couldn't get the hose to… Read more

stay on, or the dogs to stop shedding, or the house to keep clean.. sigh) so I found the bagless PC91ANIMAT which had a good Choice review. And it's Red!!!

I must confess, I don't vacuum often, so it takes a hammering when I do. And I have an old house with lots of nooks and crannies that traditional vacuum heads don't often reach but dog hair does.

This is an amazingly powerful vacuum. Either of the two heads work a treat on the hard floor, and the brush tool works well as a duster and cobwebber. The brush tool does get clogged more than I like as it has a wide mouth and weirdly narrow apeture into the wand. It's easy to unclog and the aperture has an openable "jaw". I'm just not sure of the design logic though.

The bagless bit is easy to empty, and if you need to, you can check the waste for those $2 coins and various things you shouldn't have vacuumed, which I appreciate.

Annoyingly, not everything goes into the"bag" area. Tissues (me)and chewed up toilet roll bits (jack russell) get stuck in another chamber. Not a biggy to empty, just annoying that they don't go into the bag chamber.

On my rugs, I have to turn the suction down, yes there is a handy slide for that, or else I'll suck my rugs into the vacuum cleaner.

The power cord is long enough for me to plug in centrally and do the entire house.

It's light enough to easily drag through the many, many doorways I have. Although, another handle would have been good to be able to carry it upright (I mentioned the many doorways at my place), and I'm pretty sure carrying it by the hose is not recommended in the long run.

It's also pretty quiet for a vacuum cleaner, the dogs still freak out, but eh, dogs.

It has a slot for the hose and wand, so you don't have to lay it down while your are moving stuff, but I REALLY wish it had a similar slot for when the vacuum cleaner is up on it's butt for storage. Hose and wands are a pain in the cupboard.

something for a short time that I can throw away or give to someone else. This is the worst vacuum cleaner I've ever had since I inherited my parent's 1960's Hoover UFO vacuum cleaner (which still works but with duct tape holding it together). Suction is so bad on the Ozito that I have to place the nozzle on top of the object for it to be sucked up. It's so loud, ear protection is mandatory. The nozzle and vacuum connections do not have swivel joints so that you can't just vacuum at an angle or move around unless you twist and wind with the hose, because otherwise, the vacuum tips over. The wheels and center of gravity is so bad that if I pull the vacuum onto my thin carpet, the whole thing tips over. This is because the hose is connected at the top of the vacuum and not at the bottom. Once tipped over, the thing wails and loses suction. The power cord is only 1.5m long. I really don't get how this thing got through design and why Bunnings would even sell this.

Works great with a lot of trouble and effort. Customer service is terrible – The vacuum does a wonderful job at what it is meant to do. We use it for hard floors with pet hair. For that, I would give it 5 stars. I have only… Read more

had it a couple of weeks, so no comment about durability. The review would be zero stars if I could rate the ease of use and customer service. We bought a refurbished machine from Sirena online. The first time we tried to use it, the power hose was impossible to connect. It was plain to see that the power plug inside the main unit was sitting too high to connect with the plug on the power hose. I called Sirena and the man I spoke with was abrupt with me. He said, "Our vacuums are all checked. It will work. Just keep trying.Take it to an electric company. They will help you connect it." My husband and I both tried for several times more. We even tried to gently reposition the plug inside the unit, to no avail. We finally took it to a local vacuum repair shop and paid over $70. to get it worked on. The man at the repair shop confirmed that the plug inside the unit was sitting too high to connect. He worked on it quite a while and finally got it to a point where I can connect it. I still have to manually push it into a better position to plug but can connect it after some effort and several tries. Today, I was using the vacuum, and the face plate on the bottom of the floor power attachment suddenly fell off. I worked for probably 25 minutes to get the belt back on, the brush into place, and then futile attempts to get the face plate back on. When my husband got home, he messed with it another 15 minutes or so. We discovered that a screw was in a position to keep the face plate from going back on easily. You have to strong-arm it into position. I cannot do it, but my husband can with some effort. All of the attachments are difficult to take off and put on. The separator is very difficult to get clean with the brush they provide. I bought a baby toothbrush and can more easily get into the separator to clean it. In addition, the unit is very heavy. With all the effort and trouble, as I said, I love the effectiveness of the unit. However, we will need another vacuum for small, quick jobs as the Sirena is far too much trouble to use for short jobs.

Found one on the hard rubbish minus the hose and wand and the cord was cut short, looked brand new, not a scratch on it. I needed a vac head for a… Read more

dust separator collector bin project for renovations so put a cord on and checked it over. Brilliant suction but low air volume, connected it up the dust separator bin and it was okay after cleaning the filters thoroughly but it still was low volume and would make a sucking noise like it was leaking somewhere soon after each start. Found the sucking was coming from the valve at the top of the canister for when the hose gets blocked - to save the motor from overheating, stuck a piece of duct tape over that. Thought this is odd must be a blockage in the dust separator hose, checked nope, tore the vac apart and right in the centre tube was a clog of dog hair and a toothpick and a paper v clip, I don’t have a dog and my dust separator doesn’t let anything like a paper clip past so must have been previous owners. After fiddling about with long tweezers got it all out, cleaned the filters again, had a little plaster dust on them, fired it up and suction is three times brilliant - strong enough now to collapse the wall of the dust separator bin so now have to run it with bleed air at the nozzle. Very strong vacuum especially with the filters clean and the safety valve covered. The canister is moulded to look like it has multiple little cyclones Dyson style, it doesn’t have any of those so that’s just plain deception on the manufacturers part making it look like that, just one basic cyclone that’s full of compromises. So far very pleased with how it pulls air through the dust separator bin which is a 99% capture, so I give it 5 stars for value being off the hard rubbish and 5 stars for performance. I don’t know what the wand or tools are like as didn’t get those. What it does have is a soft start circuit, a couple of times it didn’t start and I though okay this is why it put out, it’s only happened twice and hasn’t happened again for ages so we’ll see how it goes. Picked up an Anko $70 vac off hard rubbish last week, also brand new, hardly sucking, had a steel wool pad in exactly the same place as this one’s blockage, removed it and the vac is perfect, no scratches, has the hose and wand including crevice and blinds tools still in original wrappers, and a complete cord. Now I can use each vac to clean the other through the separator bin, makes it very easy to clean the filters. It gets 5 stars for value too.
