Don't by LG. Absolutely appalling aftercare service and information – We moved into a new home with a new LG air conditioner. The first problem was switching it over from cooling to heating. 2 adults and the LG support hotline couldn't work out how to do it. So their recommended company for our area tried to charge us $242 to say there was nothing wrong. The instruction book is absolutely useless! Last month a gecko got inside the unit and caused $1500 damage and it's not covered under warranty because they don't cover vermin! Of course they don't make the unit difficult for geckos to get into, or give you any information on how to prevent them entering the unit in the first place. And then to rub salt into the wounds half the ordered parts don't turn up on the day we are supposed to get the unit fixed

Good – I love my LG aircon, its does what its supposed to - heats or cools, quickly as well. Would definately buy another one. It wasnt expensive compared to other brands that do the same thing. Have had it 4 years and it did break about 6months ago, was a split pipe in the machine however the warranty repairer came out within a week or so & it didnt cost me a cent. Aftersale service was great.

Good – LG's prvies model has had bad name but these 3 units we bougght are fine. they have kept our whole office area cool in summer. So far we hav not had any issues and hope they can last. We bought B48AWY at late of 2008, three units, for our 300M2 office area and they have been performed well.

Excellent – As I now own a number of house and units I rent I had my share of problems with air cons.Touch wood I have not had a problem with the 6 LG units I have got. These new units are great.Cooling and heating work very well.The deluxe controller is good and easy to work.The units are very quite and economical to run.
