might as well buy just an FM radio – While under warranty failed for no power and later no DAB. Now outside warranty of course again no DAB and also no Internet. Connection via cable to computer OK and plays back from HDD. Very disappointed and scared to bring it in for the repair bill. Just an expensive FM radio now.

Poor Quality – After using it for about 4 hours per month over 18 months period, system failed to operate. No power at all. Any audio system should last longer than 18 months....Extremely disappointed.

Unreliable product – Product failed just out of warranty period, ejects dvds continually and digital radio feature failed. Service cetres inconvenient. Help desk shrugs you off. Used this player linked into theatre projector, it was good while it lasted. Due to delings with this product I would be reluctant to purchase this brand again. DVD does not work, DAB has failed.

Good idea had huge potential ,some let downs – "Good:Sounds great looks good plays blurays Digital radio Good features badly executed eg; Bad Clock cant be displayed all the time whether the unit is on or on stanby ,you have to walk up to it and presss clock and even then it only lasts a few seconds. Ethernet connects to netcast which is the only way to get internet radio via vtuner.

Main let down (USB):

Usb can't shuffle between albums ,you can only pick one album and shuffle that album only, which is bad when you have lots of different albums,

I therefore painstakenly removed every song out of every album and put them in 1 folder so I can shuffle between all songs ,but the unit could only see 2000 songs the rest cannot be played,I then connected by DLNA and even then no joy it can only see 2000 songs what a let down.

If only you could shuffle between albums,( as my daughters Philips can) problem would be alot better as the albums reduced the amount of song files from over 2000 to about 100 while still containing all the songs.

If they fix it so you could shuffle between albums keeping all songs, then I would reccommend it ,but not how it is ,maybe they can release an update.

LG please let me know if you relase an update to fix usb as this is the main reason for 3 stars ,otherwise I would give it 4-5 Stars." Sounds great, looks good,Bluray player and Digital radio very handy Main problem for me is usb. Other issues not that bad Clock only stays on for a few seconds,Internet radio via vtuner

Brilliant – Sound dynamics are very good. Performance is great. all in one perfect. I would recommend buying it even if you use it for iphone ipod alone. Smart looking modern with plenty of additional extras for sound and settings. Overall a price competative and worthy investment for your generic viewing. Keep the speakers a good distance apart. Colour size and sound quality output No direct input at the rear for external units. Optical connections only and quite expensive to buy.

Your welcome. PS: anyway to unlock its current DVD region setting? I have so many DVD's from overseas..

Unfortunately not - LG DVD/Blu Ray players utilise third party software and the license requires that products be region-locked and as such cannot be unlocked. Sorry we couldn't be of more help. Kind Regards, LG Australia
