My fridge is 18yrs old it's done a bit of travelling, from warehouse to Broome then back to Perth. All I want to know is how long will my my fridge live for please lol!? I thought it gave up on me last week cos when I went to the freezer in arvo my ice blocks were melted. But it's been good since. Anybody know how long it will last please? Excellent fridge freezer!!! Substandard Paint Work. Otherwise OK – Mechanically fine. Motor very quiet to start with, but getting gradually louder over the years. Maintains temps well overall up to mid-30s outside (but struggles on 40 degree days). Accessible fridge and freezer, but fridge door shelving could be more adjustable. Paint flaking off at door edges of freezer and main fridge compartment... Show details
Reliable and looks good too – Very happy with this fridge freezer. I researched a lot of different brands etc. before buying. This one kept coming out on top. I bought it, and I have been very happy with every aspect, and believe me I am picky! The layout is consumer friendly and the freezer compartment is ideal size for any size family or individual. Totally recommend this product.
Excellent value and reliable fridge – I know this has been discontinued but thought I would plug this fridge as we have upsized after near Y 10 years of fault free service. Never broken down, always reliable. It would run much more on hot days with totally full freezer and fridge but that is normal, better to have a big fridge half full. Not sure what the new LG fridges are like but… Read more
this one was great, will be donating to needy people they should get another 10 yrs fingers crossed.
Reliable – We've had this fridge for over 7 years and it has performed really well over this time. The plastic shelves have been solid and the lights haven't failed. I like the "twist" style ice tray - very useful to create and store ice in advance of a party. No major problem to report!
Great Refrigerator – I bought this fridge in 2006 and has never failed me and its now 2014,I believe you wouldn't find a better refrigerator and has done it's job admirably, its Frost Free attributes are excellent and doors seem to be very strong as I have always kept a full load in the inner shelves,so Mr LG you have me. Operated fairly silently and has not needed any attention maintenance wise. Weak plastic legs on bottom.
Excellent fridge – For a relatively cheap fridge, this one has performed well for us for many years now. We bought it back in early 2007 and it's still going strong six years later. Never had any issues with it, the only reason we are saying goodbye to it now is to upgrade to a larger fridge. Quiet, excellent cooling
had problems just after warranty was out – Loved the look, but after a while it made a noise like a frog (made sure no frog was there) got someone out they replaced a part worked ok for a week then frog noise back and started freezing in fridge, I have brought a number of LG products and they all died in 5years never again space as mentioned above id buy anything else and I mean anything before lg
Load of Rubbish - do not buy one – Light kept going out due to vibration. Now it does not fit at all. Door fitting fell off and broke. Doors seals fell apart within 2 years. Just very cheaply made. Buy some other brand. Do not buy this one! The probolems started very soon after I bought it. The store I bought it in had closed dwon so ha dproblems with warranty. Not much Badly made, easily broken lighjt does not work, door seals fell apart
The truth about a piece of genuine LG Garbage – What sort of liars have written previous positive reviews on this piece of secnd-rate junk. This is a fine example of why nobody should purchase cheap garbage froma company that just don't care what they send you. I've never had a fridge that lasts less than 20 years. Great quality products like a Westighouse. Now we are flooded with cheap… Read more
knock-offs by people that have no clue of the required technology to build a decent fridge. This piece of garbage I have came from Harvey Norman but as my brother-in law runs a store the news will go to head office fast. This junk-box pumps more water over my kitchen than I can handle. It has even damaged my kitchen cabinets through water soak. The water runs from internal top grills, from the back, from air holes and even comes from the cooler box hinge hole...so obviously even the shell of this garbage is water filled. So did I phone them to advise...yes...and they offered to send a technician for $200 to 'have a look' It is design ignorance that is the problem. Do not buy LG because they are in it for them. Like many suppliers they work on the idea that if you buy [censored word removed] once you will keep on buying it. Stop believing these suppliers havsd any ethics because they do not. They only want money.
These are accurate facts here and I am extremely objective. I will never buy anything labelled LG again, and I will do my utmost to avoid Chinese suppliers of anything. My moral code is higher than they seem to able to supply and I hope they close down.
This is a no star company that should not be dealt with. With the power cord removed it makes a great tool cupboard for my garage.
inefficient at cooling. Pumps water from every orifice. Gave trouble within 13 months of purchase. No company support. Bad design creates water leaks.
Excellent – It's a great fridge, we're really happy with it. It's a good size for just the 2 of us and the shelves are adjustable, lots of door space, egg trays can be removed if you don't want them (some people don't like them apparently), the freezer is really fast at freezing things, especially ice cubes. The ice cube trays are removable if you need the… Read more
extra space, e.g. in winter. Very quiet, unlike previous fridges that kept me awake at night.
Very effective at keeping things cool
Energy efficient
Door can be changed to open from the other side - essential for us with our weird kitchen Not a general con, but if you change the doors be careful you don't lose any of the small washers - we had problems for months with the fridge freezing all our food and couldn't work out why - LG was fantastic and the repair guy came out about half a dozen times free of charge trying to find what was wrong - it was a missing washer from the doors from when we moved it
Excellent – overall it is a great fridge and wasnt expensive at all either, we have had not one single issue with it in over 5 years so thats impressable, definitely a keeper i like this fridge, we have had it for about 5 years now and we have had no problems with it at all. we do buy in bulk so sometimes isnt enough but we do have a second fridge in the… Read more
garage and a upright freezer too so it is now plenty,it is very quiet, easy to clean, looks good, adjustable shelves there is nothing i dislike about this fridge
Excellent – This is the first fridge I have bough and am really happy with it. The reversible door is a great feature and it's great having a light in the freezer too. It's also very easy to adjust the temperature. The cool zone at the top is also usefully for storing things like cheese and cold meet away from the rest of the stuff in the fridge. The only… Read more
issue I have is that the second bottom door on the shelf is the widest one which makes the bottom door shelf a bit hard to access. Reversible door, big capacity, shelves are solid plastic so if something leaks it doesn’t drip down onto items below. Reversible door, big capacity, shelves are solid plastic so if something leaks it doesn’t drip down onto items below, has egg holders, has a light in the feezer. The bottom shelve on the door seems like a bit of wasted space.
Excellent – We've had this fridge for just over 6 months and it's not let us down. We've found it's very easy to clean and we can fit heaps in - it's a great size. Like the other reviewers, we purchased it because it was the best value for the size at the time. I saw that Harvey Norman here in Hobart are still selling the same model - I'd recommend it to… Read more
anyone. Nice clean lines, reversible hinge door is a handy idea in case it doesn't suit our next house, frost-free freezer, built-in ice cube trays, caster wheels make it easy to move. Light in the freezer is a great idea. Nothing. Probably would prefer if it had wire racks rather than plastic shelves - don't know that plastic will last forever, but seems to be fairly tough. Does prevent drips tho and probably easier to clean than anything else.
