LHS door bubbled and rusted – Within 3 years the LHS door began to bubble and rust below the water dispenser. Rust now extends 3 inches below the dispenser and up the sides. Not well designed. I would not buy another LG given this fridge is soon to head to the tip. Would consider replacing the whole door but no parts listed and suspect it would be cost prohibitive in any event. Say no to LG, I had similar issue with washing machine (rust) just outside warranty period. Should have learned my lesson!
3.5 years fridge tech says trash it – We had 3.5 years of very good operation however fridge was cycling longer and longer over last week. Freezer suddenly stops freezing and fridge is not cold, classic case of leaking refridgerant methinks. Fridge tech agrees, leak is not in the coils however and will be impossible to fix given it's in the internal plumbing. Fridge tech says this not uncommon on this model either at around this age. It's a pity, the icemaker, other features hadn't missed a beat up until now. Good features for the price It's off the dump after not very long

Excellent – I've had this fridge for 2.5 years and no problems so far. I've moved house with it (nightmare) and after all the rough handling and knocks still works perfectly. Ice and water works great, crushed ice is a nice feature (although you lose a lot of freezer space when you add ice and water feature). Overall been a great fridge. Great size - not too wide for a side by side Handy compartments Love the ice and water dispenser nothing so far

Bad – Don't buy one; if you don't want to look at a second rate product; whole rusted door panel not worth the cost. No hand defrosting like in the older style fridges, frost free. Fridge/freezer purchased 2 years ago Left side of the fridge where the ice/water dispenser is has rusted below streaking all down the door, bubbled initially then rusted Note: brushed steel only - Freezes fruit and veg in the two bottom draws of the fridge had to cut circular holes in draws to vent - Constantly mentions replaces water filter

Just got rid of the LG for a Samsung. The rust /bubbling got so bad we couldn't look at the fridge any longer.
