Still going strong – Over 13 years old and in rental unit. Still going strong. Only catch replaced in this time. Highly recommend this dishwasher for reliability . Can't comment on all aspects of operation but very satisfied with outcome. Show details · 1
Spare Part I need is no longer available – Was happy with the performance of the machine until door became very hard to open. Needs a new latch, which is no longer available. Won't buy another LG brand if one can't get spare parts when needed. Show details
Did the job but motor was loud – This dishwasher I owned worked hard for 9 long years and the electronic control panel was very easy to use. Sadly it broke down and the whole machine got flooded with water by a fault. I have just got only one complaint, the motor used to always be loud during operation before it died. But overall it used to wash the dishes well and the energy and water efficiency was not too bad. Show details

This is perfect!! – Have had this for 10 years, have all LG products in my house and I can't find a fault with this. I run a clean cycle every 6 months and use bicarb soda in every second wash, has missed a beat. Love this product and so easy to use. Definitely recommend to anyone that knows how to use a dishwasher. Show details
LG CAN GO TO HELL – This thing is a piece of junk. Even the power button won't do anything. Don't believe that 5 star review above. This thing is junk and all LG electronic belong in the trash. The other LG electronics that came with my apartment are all cheap junk. Its not wasting your time buying something cheap just to have it die on you. Get a different brand.
Happy with our LG dishwasher – We've had our dishwasher for 5+ years, hasn't missed a beat, some minor operator issues. Recently it started making a howling noise (main pump). As we was happy with it over the years so I went and got a new pump $85, installed it. (just lots of screws and a few hours of time) and it's running like new, I did notice that the wash cycle was a bit… Read more
louder, hence new pump, more pressure. We do run citric acid through it for a cleaner every so often. I do notice things like bits of nuts will get in the washer arm and very hard to get out... But more than happy with our LG Dishwasher.
Hi All, just going to add to this after a few years, this is still going. so Yes we are still happy with this dishwasher,
Always breaking down – Three times within warranty it had all of the electronics replaced. Now out of warranty by a few months and it wont go at all. This is the second LG dishwasher I have owned and both were garbage. Do not buy one! Owned this own for 2 1/2 years, don't care about running costs. Havn't contacted customer service as when last I did about it leaking I was told that it was to be expected :(
Complete junk – Doesn't even turn on. Awful product. Looks nice but doesn't work. Initially worked. Then had some trouble with it turning on or off. Now doesn't turn on at all. My LG air conditioner which also came with the apartment looks nice but is total junk that doesn't work. Please avoid LG - their white goods are junk and should be pursued in court by customer advocates.
Keep away from LG if you know what good for you – Nearly caused a fire lucky I was home to switch this piece of rubbish off. LG don't even care enough to come out to investigate unless I pay for a service call. Customer service as bad as their products. By the way, this isn't the only problem I've had with this washer, the list goes on.
Awful product – This machine just does not get my dishes clean, it is hard to tell if the machine has actually done a clean or not. After abysmal customer from LG with a TV that I used to own, I will not even bother contacting LG. This is going on the scrap heap, I will try another brand. Never again will I buy an LG product.
DO NOT BUY LG – If you're after a dishwasher only for a couple of years then LG is for you . Maybe for those who like to update to keep up with their friends then this is perfect as you won't have to sell the idea of a new dishwasher to the hubby cause it will be Fecked anyway . Buy an LG and you'll be able to update every 2 years or so . If you're a normal human… Read more
being who likes their hard earned cash then steer clear of the LG bile . I liked the fact it worked for a coupe of years If say the fact it no longer washes dishes put a downer on things .
Do not purchase! – Absolute waste of money. Had everything replaced while under warranty. If you put it on intensive wash cycle, steam would get into the selection panel. So I only used basic cycles, it couldn't even clean thoroughly rinsed dishes. At 4yrs old it fried itself, leaving my kitchen smelling like burnt plastic. How much I appreciate washing dishes by hand. Everything
Absolute Rubbish – LG Dishwasher is total rubbish DO NOT TOUCH, I have had for 2 and a half years and had nothing but problems! I have had to contact on LG on several occasions to fix the first days after installation then about a year later to have whole motor replaced! Now machine will not even turn on and of out of warranty! Customer service Rep on the phone was… Read more
no help and told me tough and that she had just spent $34000 on a car that was full of problems and somehow this was relevant? I was also unfortunate enough to have bought a LG fridge at the same time and have had to pay to replace ice maker already and all the draws at the bottom of the fridge are broken! LG is rubbish buyer beware!
Continually broken
Yes our "new" 2 1/2 year old LG dishwasher - motor blown - water everywhere...smoke everywhere....never again.

Terrible – Never buy a LG product. Beware. If buy a LG ask about extended warranty as you will need it. We have purchased LG products in the past which we have also had problems with! dishwasher 2 months out of warranty and needs a new motor! Dishwasher not used more than 10 times in the 2 years. Serviceman also admits machine looks brand new mechanically. Not impressed, will not buy another LG product.
Terrible – I bought this dishwasher yesterday and will be returning it for a refund tomorrow, there are so many things with it i have found to be unsuitable i am just to angry with it at the moment to list it. I am a chef and i know dishwashers believe me and i would not reccomend buying an LG dishwasher. If you have never had a dishwasher you may be fooled… Read more
or if yours was 20 plus years old i think they would be the only customers who might enjoy this pathetic version of a dishwasher The dishwasher looks nice the fast wash cycle is complete crap, my ten year old previous dishwasher kicks its butt, it is poorly made with a lot of plastic and it has no pressure to the arms dispensing water if that makes sense. My old dishwasher pumped the water hard onto the dishes and gave a much better clean.
Bad – Compared to other machines I have owned this machine did not live up to expectation and I would not purchase another LG Aesthetically pleasing, priced well Poor rinse cycle; tight plate stacking; steam vent too close to the top and steam went straight under the bench; cutlery slipped through the bottom of the basket;poor drying; Pump started leaking after 3.5years causing kitchen cabinet damage and the machine was retired
Has never worked correctly – Have had loads of problems with this dishwasher, it has to be on hottest longest wash to actually clean the dishes. I was told that I wasn't packing it correctly and that I had to use the better detergent. Loud beeping sound at the end of every cycle with an error message for the past 6 months. 3 months out of warranty it just stopped working,… Read more
only help from LG was a phone number to get someone out to replace it. $835 for the biggest piece of junk - certainly will not be buying another LG product again.
didn't wash unless on highest temp & longest setting, loud continual beeping at end of cycle

OK – For the price, does the job reasonably well. LG need to improve on quality generally as it's really slipped in the last couple of years - wouldn't buy any other LG product. the top spray arm needed to be replaced todate. Have since got one for our new home (the Titanium Dishwasher) and am somewhat disappointed. It isnt as good as the previous model but for the price does a reasonable job. Child lock has always been a good feature on these models. Looks good in the silver finish and doesnt show up kids fingerprints. Dishes arent hot at the end of the cycle, older LG model you couldnt touch the dishes - so probably more environmentally friendly. Agree with others that you do need to use good quality dishwashing powder to get clean dishes (even if you throughly rinse dishes before putting in the dishwasher). The newer model has the cutlery draw at the back which is a real pain b/c you have to pull the whole draw out to add cutlery and bend over it more - not sure why LG did this but maybe b/c cutlery dries better and rusts less with the basket at the back??. Doesn't dry plastics as good but not such an issue. We've only had the Titanium Dishwasher one for six months and need to get it serviced - its noisy - makes a strange whinning noise. I think LG just churn these products out now to meet customer demand and let quality control slip.
Excellent – Love it! It washes everything really well, is quiet and also dries better than any dishwasher I've ever had. Absolutely nothing needs hand drying at the end of the wash. Child lock feature is great and the delay time start is a nice little extra. It's very easy to use and I'd highly recommend it! Quiet, easy to use and dries everything (including… Read more
plastic) really well. The on/off button is easily knocked on...but...you then have to make another selection to start the machine so it's not a huge issue.
Excellent – I absolutly love the Dishwasher the quietest one i have heard hasnt missed a beat, plates and pots come out shiney clean, can hardly hear it washing, highly recommended, would encourage others to buy this great machine. Dries dishes well, love the sani rince option, heats rince water to 77c, extremely quite, fold down plate rack for washing of pots. none to speak of.
Excellent – Go for it! But remember, experiment with it and see what works for you before you complain. I love it! The price was a big drawcard. $648 new from Harvey Norman in Nourlunga, SA. Looks good, love the control panel, but if you have really dirty dishes, like lasagne trays, use intensive+ or intensive. Scrape off all food scraps first to keep your d/w… Read more
as clean as possible. The first time I used mine, the really dirty things were still a bit grubby, but then I read that you can use more dish-washing powder. I had bought finish 3 in 1 tablets, but discovered if I use one and cut one in half and add that too, you get a much better wash.(on the heavily soiled items). Also, I added 'finish' liquid rinse aid to the dispenser and got a much brighter, streak-free and polished finish on plates, glass ware and cutlery. I don't think 3 in 1 tablets have enough rinse aid in them. 3 in 1 tablets are good for an ordinary wash, and I would keep the rinse aid dispenser topped up but do not over fill. As for the drying capacity, I can see why some users will complain, but it doesn't promise to deliver thoroughly dry dishes every time. I don't think any d/w does. However, I must agree that using 'sani rinse77' is probably needed for the residual heat needed to help with drying. I say this because I washed a load on 'quick' wash and you can't use 'sani r77' on it and the dishes weren't as dry as they had been when I'd been able to include 'sani 77'. You can't use 'r77' on 'gentle' either but you can on 'eco', 'normal' and of course on 'intensive' settings. Also, something to remember, having enough 'rinse aid' in the dispenser for the rinsing helps with water run-off so therefore assists with drying. Don't be too put off by the one blue star for water rating. It says it uses 20 litres per each full wash, which must be a heck of a lot less than if you wash by hand. Think about how many times you rinse things or change sink loads of cold or dirty sink water. And my husband said he had never seen such clean and polished items, and I am very fussy with my dishes- rinsing, topping up hot water and detergent and fussing around, yet I still deliberated in ever deciding to buy a d/w in the first place, thinking "what if the power goes off? Then I'll still have to wash by hand!" But I actually managed to make a decision and I only bought mine on August 13 2007, and have used it full 4 times times already and experimented to see what worked best and my findings are above. I'd say don't expect a miracle but experiment and see what works for you. I have not had mine long enough to see what faults might become apparent, so you will have to wait a while for that review. I think it is nice and quiet and I don't hear any clunking noises caused by the spray arms, and I haven't smoked anything illegal. If the spray arms 'clunk' then something in the load may have slipped and is hitting them. Check it. I also lashed out and bought LG front load w/m model no.wd 1049c on the same day, and for the same price,(new) and to date am very happy with it, having done 4 loads already, but you can shorten the wash load by one hour. Just read the book. Also, I bought a little thing called "dual protection finish protector" to hang in the dishwasher which protects against glass corrosion and decor fading on dishes. I think it really works as all my dishes and glass and cutlery have a nice polished look about it. It is only about $7 in the detergents aisle, and lasts about 50 washes and well worht it, I reckon. What? Nothing! Yet. But I might tell you later if I discover some.
Bad – It has been frustrating owning this dishwasher, I only had it one week and started getting problems with error codes, water not pumping away, water leaking and the machine not letting the water into it! It has been very dissapointing as I was looking forward to owning a dishwasher and now I keep having problems with it even though it's brand new.… Read more
Looks nice, when working well it does a good job. I keep getting error codes, especielly 'OE' when there is nothing in the filter. One time the error code was telling us there was no water connected to the unit, it took 3 days for it to work and it made a loud sqeaking noise, then started working. Now I am constantly getting the "OE" code. I can't run it at night because the error might come up and machine will be beeping ecsessively.

Bad – Choice rated this dishwasher a "best buy" in 2007. They must have been smoking something illegal. It is slow, noisy, and you still have to dry everything by hand. BIG mistake. Control panel is easy to use. Biggest dislike: can't dry dishes Next: upper spray arm bumps something at rear of dishwasher on each rotation. Noisy.
Excellent – I love this dishwasher and would highly recommend it. Mind you I have only had it for a week, but have had 2 dishwashers previously. Some of my friends have this model too and love it. I find that I have to use the intensive wash to get more heavier soiled plates clean, even though the book says to use ECO 65 for heavily soiled plates. … Read more
Overall, I am pleased with my purchase, it cleans really well, you have a good selection of wash cycles and it was a pretty good price. I love the easy to use control panel, time remaining display and the beeps at the end of the cycle. I would prefer the cutlery basket to be at the front, so I don't have to pull the drawer all the way out to put the used knives and forks in. I also find that at the end of the cycle I have to open the door to dry up the water still sitting in the dishwasher as the fan doesn't do an overly good job - But hey, my old dishwasher used heat to dry the dishes and used a lot of electricity and the dishes were extremely hot when finished. So I suppose in order to be more environmentally friendly you have to sacrifice something. It doesn't overly bother me as most of the dishes are fairly dry.
Excellent – I had one of these dishwashers for about 3 years and never had a problem. I shopped around so i could get a dishwasher with all the right bits i wanted and came across this one. I used to prewash / scrape dishes and pots then i realised i didnt need to. Almost no matter what was on the plates / pots it would be removed during the wash. It… Read more
cleans very well and drys just as well.
At the end of the day when i sold and moved house i like the dishwasher so much i took it with me.
Due to the fact that the place we live in now (rental) has a dishwasher, i sold this unit. Big mistake. Dont get me started on the Whirlpool unit we have to suffer with. Cleans almost everything off almost anything. None (really truly)it really suited my needs well.
Terrible – If I could have had a better look at it in store, I wouldn't have bought it. Products need to be demonstrated. What is the use of buying something if you only know that it really works once you get it home? The dish racks are designed for people who eat prepared food. They are not designed to take anything other than plates, small bowls, small… Read more
cups and glasses and eating utnsils. If you want to wash large utensils, bowls, pots, pans then forget it. Additionally, if you use anything other than the very best dish washing detergent, you're really in trouble.
Good – Has been really good so far no problems and my husband installed it himself. If you won't a dishwasher at a good price you will be happy. We bought this dishwasher for $650 at Harvey Norman which was a great price. Really like the control panel and easy to use. Does not dry the dishes as well as l would like but can put up with it. And the cutlery basket at the back is a bit annoying.
Bad – on the fence with this one, if the tablets get used would be great, buying powder tomorrow, try again, if it worked as good as it looks I woulg say excellent A good looking unit, like the display panel lights, buttons, child lock & beeps, very east to use Have had unit for 2 days in 2 washes the tablet is sitting on botton of dishwasher & the dishes are still dirty? very strange
Terrible – If you ever have any problems with any LG products you will come to realise that they don't care about any costomers. They just lie straight to your face with comments like I will have a manager ring you tomorrow which they never do and if you ask to talk to a manager they are convientely never there. replacement product. If you want problems buy an LG product. There is nothing to like with this product because they don't work. It doesn't work and has an E1 error message and its still under warrenty. The water fills up and then it empties it immediatly or half way throu a load.
If you look on the net 100s of other people are having the same problem and LG don't want to have any thing to do with it. LG give you the run around and I wouldn't buy any thing from them ever again as Life isn't good its just LG Low Grade. I have now been waiting 5 months for a replacement and they still can't give me a delivery date.
