Good machine – I bought the dishwasher secondhand for $30 as it had a wee leak, it would have been at least 5 or more years old then. I diagnosed it needed a new pump. That cost me $72 and an hour or so to fit. Lots of screws to remove to gain access though. It replaced a F&P Dishdraw that was the biggest pile of crap, actually that was the second Dishdraw… Read more ·  1

after the first one was replaced free for being even crapper! No complaints on the LG save for servicing is a bit fiddly, it isn't noisy and cleans dishes beautifully.

Excellent longevity – Well the original LD-1415T1 sprung a leak two years after purchase in 2007 since I had an extended warranty it was replaced in 2009 I have had it since then and the wash pump is getting noisy after 11 years. The average life span of a dishwasher is about 10 years. Show details ·  2

purchased 2007 Great Product – i purchased this dishwasher in 12/2007, it has not missed a beat, very quiet, dishes dried and has not given me any issues.. 05/2016 it is leaking water on the final pump cycle. I will be purchasing a new LG Dishwasher as this one is now 8.5 years old and has served me well.

LG - Loser Guarantee – Although it has been fair for 5'ish years, my LG-LD1415T1 has recently decided to die a very noisy and sudden death. Over recent years I have been told "DON'T buy LG as the products are extremely unreliable" but as I have said, my dishwasher has been fair for 5 years which seems to be longer than anyone else has got out of theirs. Until now… Read more

and I cannot afford to get someone in to repair it as it would make better financial sense to buy a new (NON LG) product lasted longer than anyone else on product review LG-1415T1 followed every other LG product to the Lower Gates of hell!

Very disappointing! – This dishwasher was in the house when we bought it. My last house (which I still own) has a fisher and paykel dishwasher in it which would be about 10 years old and has never missed a beat. The LG in our new house is not even 3 years old and has just started making a horrible loud noise during the wash cycle. I have been quoted over $300 to get… Read more

it fixed!!

The previous owners were nice enough to leave the receipt for this dishwasher which shows that it cost them $900 to purchase. When you pay that much for a household appliance, you would expect it to last for more than 3 years - how disappointing! I have decided to not repair the dishwasher and buy a new one - rest assured, it will not be an LG!

Doesn't dry properly. Not even 3 years old and needs expensive repairs!

3 years on it's way out – When new, the LG LD-1415T1 washed well though during the wash the detergent dispenser opened from time to time which now thankfully doesn't anymore. Now after three years the machine is very noisy. I presume due to the bearings wearing out and it does not wash very well anymore. I would say on its way out. I would expect a machine like this to… Read more

last a few more years. Hopefully it will but with the loud noise we might just toss it and get a better brand.

Update 9/09/12 Machine is now not working at all. Good looks. Initially washed well. Noisy, after 3 years doesn't wash well.

Great for a quick wash – This dishwasher came with the house that we bought so it wasn't chosen by us. It hasn't disappointed however and we would definitely recommend it. Of the four main cycles we use the quick one most which only takes around 35 minutes to complete, albeit at a high temperature so not the most economical to run. There is a cooler wash but this takes… Read more

three times as long and who wants to wait over 1.5 hours for the dishwasher to finish when you want an early night! The quality of the quick cycle plus the drying is great The more economical cycles take too long.

Not a Good Purchase – After having a Bosch, I was bitterly disappointed in this LG. I bought it for the looks ( I wanted stainless steel ) and the salesman in Good Guys said they were good machines. I discovered very quickly that I have to wash everything on the most intensive cycle to get them clean, which is long, and even then, there is always something that is 'not… Read more

quite' clean enough.

Sometimes the powder dispenser doesn't open ( I see this is a common problem )which is a waste of a cycle. And now, after two years, it has become very noisy, which bothers me, because I suspect that it is on the way out.

It also has an extremely annoying 'beeping' at the end of cycles. You can turn this off, but you have to do it every time you use it.

In a nutshell, don't buy an LG dishwasher. You are way better off to buy a basic Bosch, which costs about the same anyway. Looks good Doesn't wash at all well, noisy, powder dispenser doesn't always open

Terrible – this dishwasher is the ultimate piece of crap and would rival the collins class submarine for its effectiveness. would never buy LG again, read all the reviews before considering this machine!! Looks Good, easy to use, cheap parts doesnt clean as good as my 10 yr old fisher and paykel, it doesnt fit in a full load, doesnt wash properly and there is always 2-3 things that need to be washed by hand

Terrible – To say I'm very disappointed with this product would be an understatement. LG claim a 14 place capacity, but no matter how I tried arranging the crokery and utensils there was absolutely no way I could accommodate even a 10 place setting. Okay it washes dishes and doesn't do too bad a job at it but the hybrid drying system leaves water stains on… Read more

glassware and stainless steel cutlery even when using a reputable rinse aid product like Finish. I have tried all four settings for the rinse aid and I still can't get as good a result as I had been getting from my 25 year old Philips EL25 dishwasher this LG model has replaced, which not only washed the dishes faster but the finished dried product was rarely a disappointment.

The LG is significantly noisier than what is claimed by the manufacturer. Installed under the kitchen benchtop with cupboards suggly fitting each side, the noise level measured with a sound level meter was +66dB SPL, which is 16dB louder than the 49dB figure claimed by LG in the product specifications on their Australian website. For those not technically inclinded, this means this LG dishwasher is approximately 5 times noisier than it should be.

The energy efficiency rating is deceptive. I was silly enough to believe two different sales consultants at two Harvey Norman stores that told me the energy rating was based on the most wash intensive program at 70 degrees C. Turns out that the energy rating is only correct on the 50 deg. Economy program with the upper rack in the uppermost position. You discover this after you have purchased the product as this information only appears in the user manual.

Thank goodness this model has a 'child lock' for the panel buttons. If the power button is accidentally pressed during a wash cycle you have to start the wash program from scratch. I found this out when a visitor standing in the kitchen accidentally pressed the power button. Trying to resume the wash program from where it left off isn't possible with this machine unless the power goes off to the home or it is switched off from the wall outlet.

Overall, I regret buying this appliance. After 25 years of fault free service out of my old Philips machine, I'm sad to say LG's technology doesn't hold a candle to the beautifully made in Holland Philips machine of 25 years ago.

The bottom line is - don't waste you money on this machine. For $999.00, take your time and look around at other makes and models. Nice looking stainless steel front.

Logical control layout Takes forever to do a load even on the economy cycle.

Leaves water stains on glassware and cutlery.

No support for long stemmed wine glasses so they can easily fall over and break.

Small load capacity.

Much noisier than what is claimed by the manufacturer.

Deceptive energy efficiency rating. (based on the most economical wash cycle program and not the program most households would use.)

Water stains on glasses and cutlery.

Excellent – I love the design, it is stainless steal, it is a beautiful design, the buttons are easy to touch and I hope you'll love it I like that it can wash the plates and bowls really clean and it has half load. The half load light is not on so I'm not sure if it's cleaning half.

Good – I like it's design, it is a beautiful design, it is stainles steal, so water won't ever leak and it is really easy to use so i sugest u to buy this brand!!! I like how it cleans the dishes and bowls and makes them shiny. I dislike how the the half load light never turn on so I not sure if it's cleaning half.

Bad – I wish i bought a different brand...I have blanco cooking products and my friend who has a blanco dishwasher says it's great...and the water rating is better too. Terrible – Disapointed in myself for assuming this product was Ok. A waste of money. Before buying anything read the reviews. Go to the store with a big plate and glass an dont listen to the dribble the sales person goes on with. I found my old fisher paykel this replaced to be excellent as far as operation goes but unfortunatelly it only lasted 2 years… Read more

before the electronics died. It Looks OK. Price was Ok. Detergent lid does not open sometimes. 14 place setting my arse, lucky to do 9. Useless racks dont hold tall glasses and cups. Standard dinner plates are too tall for lower rack and hit the rotating sprinkler arm. This is why dishes dont get washed correctly. This unit was replaced under waranty after a week of use due to electronics dying.

Terrible – Should have returned it to Rick Hart. Never believe a sales rep in isolation - check on the net as well. Pete of Perth Noisy. Leaves streaks. Filter at bottom for water return not self-cleaning hence dishwasher water in reservoir never clean. Dishes sometimes not cleaned properly. Can only stack 26cm plates in one quarter of the bottom rack… Read more

Would never buy a LG again – We purchased the LG based on the size of the machine, price and looks which it was what we expected. It does not clean as well as we thought it would for a what we thought at the time to be a mid to high range dishwasher. We did do some research but I don't think enough. We have had for just over 2 yaers and its now dead ! This is the fouth time… Read more

it has broken down so we are thinking to dump and buy a better brand like a Bosh. Size was good, racking system and price but that's it Noisy, does not wash well, broke down now four times not happy as its only 2 and a bit years old we expect more from our $1000 !

Good – Overall, I have loved this product, although in saying this its my very first dishwasher so not overly experienced with others. Would have given it a 5 star rating if it held the taller… Read more

glasses well and the tablet releaser always worked. Looks great, I found the noise level was fine - cleaned dishes very well, no streaks, often leaving it on the 30 minute cycle even with my pots and pans.

I never wanted a dishwasher as I didnt beleive they did half of what they said they did - but I am very happy. I was surprised at how well the dishwasher dries my dishes!! I just put them straight in the cupboards without having to reach for a tea towel. I dont have any problems recommending this product! Doesnt appear to hold nearly as much as the Sales Rep will tell you it does -however this is not a problem for us.

Doesnt stack tall glasses/wine glasses very well.

After about 5 months I found that the door that releases the tablet only releases about half the time, but I dont worry about that as I just put the tablet in the bottom of the dishwasher and close the door

Good – This is a pretty good dishwasher. We almost always run it on the quick cycle (34 minutes) and the dishes still come out clean, with only the occasional thing that needs to be rewashed. It's water saving, which is great as we're on tank water, and it lets you know once the actual wash cycle is finished so you can stop the drying cycle if you wish,… Read more

saving power! Looks really nice. Ability to do top or bottom shelf only. Quick wash time. Water efficient. The bottom shelf isn't really big enough for our plates, you have to put them in backwards otherwise the spinning arm from the top shelf hits them and wont spin.

OK – It's not perfect, but no dishwasher is. But I love the fancy look and the solid feel of it when opening the door and sliding the racks. Looks fantastic, like it's worth a lot more than I actually paid (about $800). Dishes come out sparkling without having to use too much powder. Best aspect is it's ability to do half loads on either the top or… Read more

bottom shelf. Perfect for a one or two person household. Dishes never come out dry, but that doesn't bother me. Just open up the door and let them air dry.

While the half load option works, it's difficult to find an appropriate option for a mixed load. Plates and bowls don't fit on the top shelf, tall glasses risk falling over on the bottom shelf.

Good – A little louder then I thought it would be but does a decent job. Paid $799 & could not ask for more for the price. I use finnish rinse aid & not a spot on glasses/cutlery Lowering… Read more

the top basket then does not allow enough room for my current plates on lower drawer. This would only be useful for washing flutes & nothing else. It is a tad on the loud side & washing cycles are quite long.

Bad – We had to return it within 2 weeks. Luckily Rick Hart in Perth agreed to exchange it for an AEG model. I was not happy with the drying at all, since we had to dry the dishes with a cloth after each wash. Also quite noisy, but that did not bother us. Looks great. Easy to use. Lots of features for the price. Did not dry dishes at all. Capacity seems smaller than they claim. Energy rating is only for the most economical setting

Bad – I regret buying this dishwasher for the hefty $1,000 price tag. My $450 fisher and pykel washed better than this. The dry cycle would be the only plus point but you have to use rinse aid or they will come out wet. A good looking design but I think we should have bought the Bosch instead. The energy rating is bollocks because this is based on their… Read more

eco cycles that just don't work. I find for even lightly soiled dishes I have to use the full cycle which takes well over 2 hours and 1 hour drying on top of that. It dries quite well but only provided you use rinse aid, it washes glassware well without streaks or it being squeaky, washes baked on food well. Tall glasses don't fit properly in the top racks, it is awful with non stick ware it will not clean it, often the tablet/powder chamber won't open and you have to redo the cycle, you cannot fit alot in the diswasher, you can't pause a cycle and the cycles are very long, the quick wash cycle will not wash your dishes and the eco wash 50 is ineffective.
