Long lasting for us - happy – My partner had this microwave before we even met.... which we meet in 2008. Only now in December 2024 (so it's at least 16 years old now, did it decide to officially retire itself! We didn't have a working oven (don't ask how, but it blew up when I was cooking baked potatoes one day for lunch.... lol so, it was used pretty much most days,… Read more

sometimes even multiple times in a day.... until I got an airfryer oven Xmas 2023, then it was more used every 3 to 5 days. Was working fantastic every single time until about a year & a half ago, which was why we got the airfryer, sometimes I noticed it didn't heat very well & had to repeat the cycle a second time, to get heat to its usual level.... kind of figured it was on its way out. Bye-bye microwave!

2nd hand but still better than new – Got given this microwave by a family member. Not sure how old it is. Had to clean heaps of kitchen grease and dust off it, but once cleaned, worked perfectly. I actually used it at work for a few months as our old one (brand new, government approved!) had flaking paint in the wheel well under the tray. Even after heavy use, it didn't skip a beat.… Read more

The only issue is the door open push button thing sticks in sometimes, but that's just cos of grease/dirt I couldn't get to. Pretty simple to use, and enough room for normal family use. If you can pick up a clean one, 2nd hand (as they've been discontinued by LG), probably worth grabbing. I've had that many microwaves recently, that die after normal use, either losing paint, or just stopped working, so I'm quite impressed with this one. I paid several hundred bucks for a fancy microwave (yes, another LG I reviewed), which didn't last as long as this one!

Good – I was quite happy with this microwave until it decided to end our relationship by ceasing to function. I have given it a rating of 4 stars because when it was working it was fine and it did give me 4 years of daily use. I'll try another brand next though. I liked the way the cooking cavity was rounded at the back and the external appearance of… Read more

the unit was quite attractive. Easy to use with not too many surplus functions. A good size for a family of three. Door sounded clunkier than my previous microwave (a Panasonic that lasted 8 years). Seconds had to be selected in units of 10. Only lasted four years with the turntable failing to turn first then a few weeks later the magnetron gave up (so I've been told) and it no longer heated.

Good – Good quality product that has never let us down. I will definately buy another LG microwave when this one finally throws in the towel. Great size unit. Very deep and wide. Has worked perfectly from day 1. After owning it for approx 2.5 years, even the original light still works! It is easily cleaned but does get dirty quick. No timer. Tends to hold smells like popcorn for a long time which can be annoying. Thats it otherwise!

Excellent – I would never buy an LG brand again. This microwave was great before it broke. Just after 12mths the turning thingo that turns the plate broke & of course it was just out of warranty. It was a mistake to go for the LG brand, my old microwave which was a Panasonic lasted for years & years, we only updated because it was too big. Needless to say… Read more

we've returned to what we know & trust & bought a new Panasonic. Looks nice & was great when it worked for 12mths. Initially i bought it cause it was equivilent in price to other good brands & i thought we'd give LG a go, i'm sorry we did. No timer
