the middle of January this year, once again the oven's outer cabinet, front glass door, the touch control panel and door opening button would become extremely hot during operation. This was after approximately 20 minutes of use, on the high setting, cooking a piece of meat. And at other times when cooking pasta or rice. The door opening button gets so hot that we can not touch it without using some form of protection (tea towel, mitt, etc) to our fingers. The oven was sent away for repair. This time under the retailer's extended warranty plan. The plan actually replaces an appliance found to be faulty with a new appliance. Repairs are not undertaken. Once again, my family was without a microwave oven for a period of time. The oven has been returned to me today. I was advised that there was nothing at fault with the oven. The repairer informed me that LG had advised him that the oven will get hot to touch, in normal operation. My wife and I are concerned that the microwave oven has the potential to cause a fire when used and as a result we will not being using this oven from now on. I will be contacting my insurance next week to inform them of the issue. We will never ever purchase another LG product. (We have had issues with our LG front loading washing machine, a few years ago. This was repaired under warranty.) nothing unreliable

warrantee (2 years) it completely fails and does not work at all. If you get this one, ensure you purchase an extended warrantee. Functions are easy to use Longevity and finger marks show too easily

Stopped working after 3 years – Great microwave to start off with. Heated quickly and very well. Ensure you get the extended warranty, because after 3 years, ours just stopped heating. I have used cheaper brands before that have lasted a lot longer than this one. Not very happy. Heated very fast, looked great, rounded interior for easier cleaning. Stopped heating after 3 Years.

Keeps breaking! – This microwave has broken three times now. The first two times it was under warranty. I am not going to bother fixing it this time. I have two young children who need milk and food warmed and need a more reliable product. LG customer service has been unhelpful. Will never purchase another lg electronic again. So easy to clean! Great price – I cant rave enough about this microwave. Easy to set up, easy to use, easy to clean!!! I love the rounded interior is a breeze to maintain. The stainless steel exterior is stylish all the way. Everything I need it to do it does with ease. LG has yet again produced an excellent product. Great Price. The best you can buy! – What I wanted was a silver finish and a decent price....I dont really use microwaves for full fledged cooking. I fell for this one the minute the salesperson at Harvey Norman opened it...Unlike most microwaves it has a concave cavity which makes it so spacious! Even my large platters can fit into it! Three months down the road, I am actually looking at cooking with a microwave! Spacious and Energy efficient
