Way to keep your cool – We bought 4 of these air conditioners. One was a '12' and the other 3 were '9s'. We paid $1,700 for the 4 a/c's and they have worked beautifully doing everything they said they could do (too many features to list). We also bought the changeable panel in silver and it looks great. I was concerned that we would get an inferior product for what we paid, but I have been pleasantly shocked as they are quiet, work well under load (really hot days) and they are energy efficient. We run our a/c's at 25 for on average 21 hours per day so they get used more than the average householder - for medical reasons - We had a problem ??? (stopped working) with the 12 but the service guys got onto it straight away and it was fixed the next day. We've had them for nearly 3 years now and they still work perfectly. I would still advise people to get the extended warranty on everything electrical that they buy. The price we paid for them and their functioning, they are so quiet.

An update on my earlier post. We have had the A/C's now for 10 months and are still very happy with them. The only thing we have noticed is that it may help to reduce the external unit noise by installing on rubber feet. We have only noticed this in one unit - the noise is deafening at 2am in the morning and sounds like truck air compression braking. I would say though that the noise issue is more about how it was installed than anything else. Overall still impressed with how they work and how much we paid for them.
