Top notch machine! – Bought this machine years ago .. 2007 Only used the dryer a couple of times because it made the clothes smell afterwards however it’s now 2019 and my machine is still going strong! Great washer.... Meh Dryer – Bought back in 2008, been used almost daily since then.. Has been good on saving water and power. The dryer function makes the clothes smell bad, we used that fiction twice about 10 years ago and never since.. Have only replaced the water pump 5 years ago, which my husband did himself. Great washer nothing to complain about – Used this for about 3+ years. Love the fact that you can set it up to wash when you are not at home. The feature that turns off the water in an unlikely issue where water leaks is real peace of mind. Economical to use.

nothing but trouble – what can i say other than this machine has been nothing but trouble, and way too expensive for what it can do, if anything. i have had the drum replaced, have had constant noise issues. the spin cycle doesnt work as well as even my friends $300 machine. a complete dud. compact size mechanically troublesome often

leave a rubber type odour in cloths. It not quiet 5 years old and had just as many + service calls.

The repair agents were rough with the unit, causing damage in various places cosmetically.

Today's repair was to replace water pumps and detect another leak. They suspected the rubber wasn't fitted correctly so they used…WD40!! To work in on, now my washer (& house) smells like a mechanics auto workshop! NOT the sort of smells you want in your clothes. They've ruined it! After that I just want to dump it and go buy another washer to get rid of the smell (they could have used Mr sheen) & guess what, it still leaking!

Aaaarrr! O_o waiting for techs callback now.

All this done under extended warranty and many days off entertaining rude technicians.

Frustrating!

Do I buy another newer LG??? Or go for Miele! Styling and dual function. Always breaking down, could use powder, Made awful noise in pumps if you did.

some of the water to leak out of the drum and burn the circuitry in the machine. Total cost of repairs $1095!!!! Because LG does not supply separate parts, I needed to replace all internals! Very disappointed that I only got 4 years out of it for the money spend!! It was perfect initially. Gentle but very effective on my clothes! The life span for the money you spend isn't worth it

found that we would need to replace drum bearings which would cost us around $600 because LG are not selling separate parts but units.

We had to replace the machine because the noise became unbearable. We bought now Samsung WF1104XA(C and I’m keeping fingers crossed Look, steam technology, amount of features Drum bearings worn out after only two years

Excellent – I use this machine to clean modern cloth nappies as well as our clothes, linen etc. It's great, I can chuck them in at night and set to have them ready to hang out in the morning. had a dryer available if we really needed it. It's slow but we hardly ever use it. It's nice that it's a condenser so the room doesn't get hot and steamy. If you are a regular dryer user I would get one separately. Cleans really well. Relatively quiet. Handy to have a dryer when you need it. Lots of functions like extra clean, extra rinse, prewash etc. Delay start option. The dryer is really slow. Some cycles are really long. 4kg dryer capacity is not much.

Absolute Nugget! DHE Error, repaired 6 times and failed again. The worst customer service!! – When the unit works it's great. However we purchased this washer/dryer just over 12 months ago and have had it repaired 6 times in the last 5 months. (really handy during winter) Guess what, it's broken again. tried extending the cable, replacing the harness, extending the cable, replacing the harness and so on.

I contacted LG yet again over 2 weeks ago to tell them it has broken for a 7th time. I still have not been given a solution to the problem or if they will replace the unit. In fact over the 2 weeks I have called them 6 or 7 times being told that they will return my call that day but they never return phone calls, even dealing with a "manager".

My strong advice to you is to spend more or spend less, even spend the same amount but never ever buy an LG product. Unless of course your in the market for an unreliable product supported by the worst customer service department on the planet.

Not happy Jan! You save money on electricity when it's broken. Unreliable product, extremely poor customer service.

The LG WD-1457RD is an Unreliable Lemon Don't get caught like I did – I purchased this expensive machine in 2007 and it ran ok for 3 yrs. When it hit the 3 yr mark i have had nothing but problems with it. pump has been replaced twice, with the second one replaced today and now i still have the error message A E and water leaking everywhere from under my machine.

I did buy the extended warranty so it has warranty till march 2012, which is a good thing i purchased extra warranty. I have had service men here 4 times in the last month, we have been stuffed around by the the people who are allocated to fix it. LG don't care about our issues as i have emailed them twice regarding this issue. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG PRODUCT AGAIN.

Don't get caught buying one of these machines ........ USELESS PIECE OF RUBBISH Expensive , Very bad warranty service and Bad service by LG
