Terrible – My machine is 18 months old. After spending $1400 I thought I was buying quality. Machine is totally destroyed by a stray button. Inner bowl alone is $511 without the outer bowl plus the 4 hours labour. LG warranty said foreign object caused the damage. If the machine was designed properly this would not happen. Lifes Gross. Looks Great. All Black & Chrome looking Plastic. Heats own water. Cloths spun really well at 14000RPM. Shame it didn't last. Machine has a design fault that allows foreign objects etc buttons that may break off, to damage inner & outer bowl.

Terrible – I purchased a 10kg model for our small hair salon that only requires washing of towels on a daily basis (not even 5kg dry all up). I'd actually do more washing in my own home that at the salon, so I figured it wasn't necessarily being used on a 'commercial' scale. The first few wash & dry cyles, ended up with the towels being steaming hot and damp but not dry. Tried numerous different cycles to see if it was operator error (me), but still same results. Then contacted our supplier who in turn contacted LG and went thru a number of elimination questions etc. Then was told we would be replaced with a new machine. Got the new machine and.....wha la! SAME "no-dry" result. Wished I'd found this site sooner, BEFORE purchasing. Seems to me most washer-dryer combo's don't actually DRY the way you would expect a tumble dryer to. Is this true??? If so, then what the hell is the point of calling a unit Washer-Dryer COMBO when it doesn't actually dry-dry and you still have to hang washing out?!?! Sorry but "steam-dried" is NOT DRY!!

Is there a washer dryer combo out there that ACTUALLY dries. And I mean "dry" as in you DON'T have to hang them out???? Please let me know.

Thankfully for us we have a very lovely Retailer who is chasing up everything, sending units back and being totally understanding of our dissatisfaction. I feel sorry for those who have been treated badly, my advice; shop somewhere else. Impressive looking, many wash cycle option, time delay option (up to 13 hours) Doesn't DRY!! Very large and bulky, unit gets very hot after 3 (yes 3!!) hours of drying.

Good – My first foray into the world of LG, seems to have paid off. First of all it looks great, high gloss black against chrome features. Like any front loader it will tend to take a long time to complete a load but i have found that the higher you select the wash temp - the shorter time it takes, by up to twenty minutes in some cases. The quick wash option does an acceptable job, even if the claimed 30 minutes blows out to 33-35. The refresh option (which i though more of a gimmick than a real option) actually works really well, i got a couple of old shirts out of the closet, really wrinkled and stale smelling threw them in the machine and 14 minutes later had a couple of "refreshed" shirts they still need ironing but were nowhere near as bad as they were. The machine is also very quiet compared to my last front loader, i'd say due to the direct drive system. 1400rpm spin speed really get the water out of the wash too. Overall seems like a very good washer. Looks fantastic, loads of options, 30 minute quick wash. Plays a somewhat ghey tune at the end of the cycle.
