Got 10 Years Out of It – After 10 years of faithful service, have decided to retire our WD-8015C washer and upgrade to a new LG. Very happy with the machine with controls very easy to use. Only issues were that over last 6 months, had some water leaking from the seals but this was minimal so wasn't overly concerned. Did sound like a jumbo was taking off in the laundry… Read more

during spin cycle. But apart from that, was a good machine. Hopefully, our new LG will give us 10 years os service as well.

Didnt want to replace it! – I purchased this washing machine in 2006, and one of the shock absorbers went on it last week. Over the last 8 years this machine had not missed a beat, even though it had been used nearly every single day. It has now been repaired and it's working as perfectly as it did the day I bought it. It was reliable, and easy to use. It's a shame its been discontinued, as I would have replaced it with the same style of machine.

Works reliably, cleans well – I got mine second hand from a washing machine repairer. We have had it for a year, and it hasn't missed a beat. I love that if you switch it off for a few minutes after starting a load, the door unlocks so you can add or change a load. It can tend to wander over the laundry if not balanced, but that is an installation error not a machine error.… Read more ·  2

If I had a small home it would be a little noisy but this being my first front loader I am not sure if it is noisier or quieter than other front loaders. It certainly isn't noisier than my old top loader, just different noises. Good range of loads, 30 minute wash for every day loads does just fine. Easy, reliable, good features nothing, I love it

Will never buy LG again – I bought my first LG front loader over ten years ago and after 5 years the bearings went and it went out of balance all the time then I went to purchase a new one and was told that it was a known fault of that particular model and they had upgraded it to a new model WD- 8015c without that issue and as I really liked the machine with all the… Read more

7 kg Front Load Washer – Would not recommend to a friend. I don't understand why it is called a 7kg Front Load washer when most of the recommended maximum load is 3.0kg and 2.0kg for most of the cycles. For example Synthetic has less than 3.0 kg, Quick 30 less than 2.0 Kg. If more weight is added the machine will not spin. Out of the six different cycles five cycles have… Read more

Terrible Machine – Never again will our family buy a LG product. Have had bad experiences with a LG mobile phone and LG microwave. Our LG front loader washing machine has rarely washed clothes properly. The machine is noisy. Unless one selects the Quick 30 minute wash cycle the cycles are extremely long. The machine likes to "dance" across the floor; have tried… Read more

Reliable, Hard Working Machine – We bought this machine used in July 2009 from the people that sold us the house it was in. We've been a family of four, so steady use for 9 years now. No repairs have been required in that time. We use the "quick 30" cycle as its perfectly adequate. We don't use the high speed spin as we don't find that necessary either (we're living in a dry… Read more

climate so drying is not an issue for us), and I suspect the high speeds shorten the life of the product and probably result in the noise and vibration that some people complain about. We're replacing it because a friend sold us a much newer machine for almost nothing (they're headed overseas), but this thing would probably keep on going if asked.

Been great – We have had this washing machine since Jan 2008 so it has been perfect. Has lasted 10 years. In the last two years, we have been using this for a family of 4 and it has held up with use with 4-5 loads a week. I keep expecting it to die but it is still going!  Show details

Excellent Washer Never Had Any Issues – Bought 2nd hand and have had this washer for 18 months and it always does the job. Super reliable and even though the main cycle takes a little long just plan around it. Super easy go out, walk the dog, go to the gym. It is 100% fit for purpose!! Would definitely have again.  Show details

Awesome – Bought our lg second hand at tender centre for $200, it's still going now 6 years , no rust but finally the front seal needs to be replaced ,( probably due to nail etc in pockets) and its probably going to cost more for the part and an installer. I don't find this machine noisy at all compared to friends washing machines and if the misses stops missing with the powder and softener it would be real clean too. Reliable Not much

Ok product – We purchased this product a few yrs ago and decided on a front loader instead of a top loader as it uses less water. Love that it uses less water and you can choose what spin speed you want, love that it has a child lock but it sounds like a jet taking off when it goes into spin mode and i was told it was "whisper quiet" lol the front door locks… Read more

as soon as its turned on which is a pain if you have forgotten something, the child lock is great but you can still press the power button which you than have to start from the beginning again which is a bit silly, and the cotton wash takes forever to wash around about 2.5 hrs Energy efficient, water efficient, Length of wash, loud, once wash starts you can't stop and add more clothes,

Terrible washing machine – When we first bought the machine a couple of years ago. I already notice that it is very noisy. Especially when it spin, there are very terrible  high pinch noise, I told to my friends about their washing machine and know that is wrong, so I contacted LG, a few weeks later, someone came and check, and he said it is like that, nothing he can do. I had no choice but have to cope with it!!!  And detergent still got stuck in the clothes, and have to wash it again, which is at least half an hour because it take like two hours if  using other functions, so we only use the quick wash which take about 30 mins!!!! This is the worse washing machine ever!! Now, I had a new born baby, so much to wash, but the machine just too noisy and always disrupt my baby's sleep!!! I regret that I didn't take up the complain further to LG customer service for that terrible high pitch noise at the beginning!  Inexpensive, but not worth it at all Noisy, only the quick wash function is reasonable washing time, other functions are useless, they All take Forever to finish!

too much bling – Ive had it just over 5 years and seems to wash well. I doesn't leap across the floor when you fully load it and it seems to cope with unbalanced loads, only when leveled properly. The ordinary wash tries to make a career out of washing your stuff, it takes forever! But the quick wash takes just over half an hour and seems good enough. NOTE :… Read more

this machine beeps seven times like a microwave when finished and its loud! Run it everyday and it will eventually get on your wick!

The door closed sensor plays up though, which went wrong right at the end of the warranty. It wont start sometimes and needs you to hold the door in for a second, and due to this and other 'end of warranty' problems with other LG products I wont be buying LG again. Lots of options, quick wash cycle is good, copes with heavy items Intermittent fault with door sensor, doesnt rinse properly needing extra rinse button pressing

Good water efficient washing machine – We've had this machine for 4 5years now. It's still working quite well now. As with most front loaders, you can't add more clothes after you switch it on. Works OK, but problems with cycle – I bought this machine 18 months ago second had for just $20! So I won't complain too much. Mine has been good as gold for 2.5 years – Really suprised reading some of these reviews. Have owned this machine for 2.5 years. Never had a service call or anything. No problems whatsoever. Some pre-wash spray, good washing… Read more ·  1

powder and away you go ! Maybe there was a few bad ones floating about or something. SPin can be a bit brutal @ 800 but 600 and 400 are fine on mine. 800 is overkill really. My machine is amazingly water efficent too so again, can only think that a few on here have just been plain unlucky really.

You do have to run a cloth over the inner door seal, as a few have said here and also drain he machine every so often which takes all of 1 minute. Not every wash though. I have never had the mould issue some talk about here. I leave the door ajar after I use it and have never had to wipe the drum down after a wash.

So impressed was I with this machine , that I just bought a new LG 7.5kg front loader. Forget the model number. It is the belt drive effort with a 10 year motor warranty, 2 years on all other parts. Add to that a four year extended warranty and you cannot go wrong really. Cheap,Water Efficient,Energy Efficient. Just an all round brilliant washing machine! Honestly. I cannot think of any at all !!

Biggest piece of c#@p! – Within two years, water started running down front of the machine from the detergent dispenser. I checked in the upper area of the dispensor box, and it was rusting out. Still within warranty I complained to LG customer service, and they stated that they did not cover under warranty for rusting. They did not want to hear of my concerns of POOR… Read more

DESIGN. I sent multiple letters (with photos) to the LG Customer Service Team Leader and only got letters back stating that the "rust is caused from the environment the washing machine is in".... - Yes the washing machine is in a laundry, an operates with water!!! They sent two different repair men to look at it for reporting back to LG. (I could only imagine what they were charged for that) I never received a response from them with the outcome. When I finally got a hold of them to get something done, they asked if I had extended warranty, (which I had) I should take it up with them. Extended warranty doesnt cover for rust either so got nowhere with that. The machine finally stopped working during a cycle, thankfully still within extended warranty, and they replaced the front electronic panel. Worked for a week, then the motor started throwing sparks out of the bottom of the machine. Back came the extended warranty technicians and had to supply a quote to their office, as may be cheaper to replace than repair. After 2 weeks, they decided to replace the motor only!

Do not go there......stay away from these pieces of c#@p! Inexpensive and ultimately 'got what I paid for'!! Cheap and nasty, rusts out around detergent dispenser. NEVER will I buy a LG product again. Really, really poor customer service.

Really good machine – I bought my machine second hand 12 months ago and it's been perfect. Really quiet and doesn't move around like other people have mentioned. I think as long you install it properly, make sure it's level and don't overload it, it's great. The normal wash cycles are ridiculously long, but most front loaders are. Good cheap machine Normal wash cycle is a bit long

Good – Both my husband and i use the machine and find it very easy. We have a favourite setting, the clothes are very clean, not creased, and clothes are lasting longer. Bad – I think there is a problem with my washer. On a spin cycle it sounds like an airplane jet taking off, its got a loud rumble that can be heard outside. It's also developed a leak from the drum casing. The cabinet it self is ver flimsy and can go out of shape just moving it into the washing machine space. It still works... just make sure its got a warranty! It does the job Extremely noisy!

OK – This is a good machine for the price, it does a good job, from delicate items to cloth nappies. I usually use the quick time cycle which I think is about 1 1/2 hrs, as the regular cycle just takes so long. any other washing done all day, as it takes so long. If on a tight budget, I would buy this machine, but if I had extra cash, I would look for a more expensive model with a shorter time cycle. And the water that collects at the bottom of door seal where there is a bit of a well needs to be soaked up with a towel, as that's the only way I can get it out, so I'd check how other models get round that problem too. Good price, spins really well compared to my old top loader, uses very little detergent, water efficient, easy to operate, has a child lock A bit noisy on it's final spins, cycles take a long time, our electricity bill appears to have risen since we bought this machine, water collects in the rubber seal bit around the door and goes smelly

Reasonable price Have some difficulty with unbalanced loads, when the washer migrates around the laundry. However, this may be attributable to the loader and not the washer.
