LEMON!! – I paid $14,000 for two integrated fridges in 2019. One is still working but the other is a real problem. OF COURSE the warranty is only two years. One would think for a product of such a reputed standard they would offer a longer warranty? Take my advice and purchase another brand....

If you are thinking of buying one DONT! – We have had nothing but trouble after our very expensive purchase. Within 12mo the seal had to be replaced on both fridge and freezer. Then the board replaced twice after 12 months. Ice maker broke down within 12 months and all the pull out draws are cracked and dont sit on a retractable glide. Now both fridge and freezer do not cool or freeze. Oh… Read more

Authorised repairer caused angst; Andi-Co stepped up! – Unlike many others, we have managed to get through 12 years with this fridge with only one recurring problem - the infamous icemaker. We had it repaired under (extended) warranty a few years ago, but it lasted all of a few months before turning its toes up again, so we let it be and used the reliable icemaker in the cheap chinese fridge in the… Read more ·  2

butler's pantry instead. Fast forward a few years and we've decided to replace all the seals on the fridge, as they've become cracked and strangely inflexible with time. We obtained a quote from the authorised repairer on the sunshine coast and, I kid you not, this was the pricing: "The fridge seal and the freezer seal (one half of the fridge) with freight and gst is $567.60. The single door seal (other half of the fridge) with freight and gst is $ 283.80. The joining strip is $ 36.30 and the call-out and approx fitting of all these seals is $ 605.00. If these fridges have integrated panels the labour will be more expensive. (thank the lord they don't!) This is not a straight forward seal replacement as the doors need to be removed from the fridges to actually fit these seals correctly." So, all up, to just replace the fridge seals after normal use over 12 years: a little shy of $1,500 (assuming fitting doesn't cost even more than approximated). Yeah, right liebherr. I've just cancelled my order for two liebherr fridges for the new house I'm building in brisbane.

Unlike other's experience, my fridge has been reasonably reliable; but to charge 20% of the original cost of the fridge to replace the seals...Not on.

Love this fridge! So economical – The Biofresh compartment is wonderful and has saved us a fortune by reducing food spoilage. Despite it's large size it is economical to run. It looks very stylish. Very efficient, best fridge we have owned – In 2 and a Half years have only had one issue. Very minor and spoke with a nice person on the customer care line. Liebherr fridge freezer – I also have had a disappointing experience with this fridge/ freezer combination. I have had the door handle break off as the poor quality silicone hinges fracture. No Quality, cost of product does not reflect this FF Combo – We researched the Liehberr Fridge Freezer side by side and couldn't find any reviews but the salesperson said it was the best. neighbours' bought one after us due to our referral. But after 24 months, the handle on the fridge snapped off in my hands and wacked me in the face. ( a safety by design hazard that should have been recalled. It cost over 200 dollars to get replaced and my husband had to do it because the serviceman was too busy driving around Brisbane repairing dodgy Leihberr products. Then the drawers broke and the seals gave way by year 3. By year 4 under the freezer would freeze over every day with a giant ice sheet that would give the Artic Basin a run for it's money. Every night I would defrost the ice and the service person said " it's a fault with this freezers" . After months of defrosting we just disconnected the freezer section altogether. It was also very noisy, more like a Leihberr tower crane at full boom then a fridge freezer. In my personal opinion this FF combo is unsafe, unmerchantable and a total rip off. I since bought a Hisense for 700 bucks and it is far better quality than the Liehberr. In German Leihberr means ( lovable man), but there's nothing to love about the Leihberr Fridge Freezer side by side . NEVER EVER EVER again and no after sales service at all after a year you are on your own. We also bought a wine fridge and that worked fine. I am writing this because I wish there was some reviews back then for me to read and warn us of the sub standard product. I wouldn't have purchased then.

Don't waste your money – Bought the fridge/freezer 8 years ago and so far had 3 call outs. The last call out is for water leaking from the freezer. The technician put a stick on foam to 'plug' up the leak which cost me $144 service call and 20 mins. It's still leaks and have gone to Liebherr to ascertain whether anything can be done to permanently fix the problem. … Read more

Response, condensation issue and they accept what the technician has done. So I have a $8,000 fridge with a band aid on the corner. Had Westinghouse pigeon pair for 15 years and never leaked!

Have also a small split at the top in the seal of the freezer which is not affecting the function, but to repair the seal, it is recommended I buy a new door!

To replace the side door tray holders in the fridge - 2 plastic ends, $30 from AGW! Cheaper on line.

What can I say, save your money and invest in a locally made fridge at a third of the price with the same warranty and one that is easily fixed and cheaper too.

Very poor quality especially for German brand – I agree with many other reviews here. Quality of handles and plastic trays is extremely poor. Many breakages over the years. Also the rear drip tray oven gets clogged up needing clearing with a piece of wire down the drain hole. This fridge is most likely not designed for high humidity climates.  Show details

Liebherr MODEL SBSES7051 Very expensive piece of cheaply built junk! – I used to trust German engineering! Never again will I buy a modern manufactured German device. handles have broken over and over. I gave up complaining a couple of years ago, after they kept replacing the handles with the same brittle plastic. I simply decided to never buy Liebherr again and everyone who come to visit comments on the broken handles, so I get to warn them about this disgracefully built product. Word of mouth. It's really the only power consumers have with this company...

Out of the huge price tag, surely another $5 to use metal to build the handles, and a couple of more $ to make sure it can take the strain of being opened as much a family of four are likely to would seem reasonable. Each time I reported the latest snapping off of the cheap plastic handles, they act as though they're shocked and this has never happened before, and of course, it's our fault! I guess modern German products are so fragile that they need to be handled with extreme care when performing such radical tasks like opening the door.

DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE? It breaks over and over again if you use it as though it's a family refrigerator! So, clearly it's our fault. We should't open it.

Currently everything inside is totally frozen in all compartments. I shudder to think how we'll be blamed for this too!

We have now been told by our technician that it is a micro-leak of the gases and is not an uncommon problem. We can live without the biofresh compartment as we cann't find another fridge with the same dimensions otherwise we would.
