Logitech S315i

Alright till it died at 6 months old – My son liked this dock for his ipod until it died at only 6 months old. Luckilly he bought it at Officeworks and we got a refund which we upgraded to the S715i model. For about twice the price he got extras of a remote control and case. He is happy, a lot better sound quality and hopes this one lasts longer than the 315i. BTW, the first unit wasn't knocked around or dropped, he looked after it well, it just stopped working. Good – I got this on special for 50% off, so at about $90 it was a bargain. The sound quality is excellent with no real annoyances except obvious lack of real bass, but they are small speakers. Construction is very good with metal speaker grilles and high quality plastic mouldings. On the surface it appears expensive, but I think you're paying for the quality sound and build. It's also quite compact and battery life is very good. Portable, intuitive to use, excellent build quality, excellent sound quality, long battery life. Probably a bit too expensive at AU$199 RRP.
