Logitech Wireless Desktop MK710

Solid and comfortable typing experience – Love this keyboard and mouse combo. Bought for both home and work. Only issue is having to replace batteries maybe every so often (yearly I think). Not quite as slick for typing as most modern laptops, but nice feel all the same. Good mouse.
Purchased in at JB Hi-Fi for $158.
Still going strong after 3 years – This unit has taken a beating. I play Starcraft, DOTA2 and pretty much anything else that's on sale in Steam. I use a Termaltake Tai-Chi M2 mouse mat with it and the precision is very good. I'm no leet haxor, more of an enthusiast and would have to say I'm very happy with Logitech. I use my PC nearly every day. The 2 x AA batteries on the mouse are great and need replacing about every 2-3 months. The keyboard 2 x AA batteries last about 12 months.
Some random thoughts:
* The scroll wheel is good because I can go by page or unlock for free scroll.
* Keyboard has comfortable spacing and the wrist rest is a good design.
* Logitech Setpoint is a bit of a lifesaver as I bind additional hot keys or Vent chat to the buttons. Setpoint will only apply these on game launch (and can be setup to change depending on which game) and not during regular browsing.
* Calculator button is very useful.
* After installing drivers, I have full access to the mute/sound buttons as well as pause/play/next buttons on top of the keyboard. Works with VLC player.
* The mouse/keyboard is plug and play so even when I reinstall Windows it still works.
* They keyboard is soft to touch but is responsive. I plan on getting a full mechanical keyboard next but this is very suitable for everyday use and medium gaming which is me.
* 2 years ago I purchased replacement mouse feet as they had worn out. Felt a lot better with the smoother gliding.
* I don't use the Function Keys to launch web pages or music.
* The LCD readout is not backlit and is only usable during the day.
* Sometimes the mouse cavity can get clogged with dust and starts to behave weird. Inconvenient but once that is clear with a quick blow to the hole no worries. Happens about every 2 months.
* It's on its way out at the moment because it's doing a weird double clicking action when I'm single clicking at times.
I've had great value from this product and if it dies tomorrow, I'd buy another Logitech product in a heartbeat. Reliable
Unreliable – I have had problems with this setup from day one. The wireless mouse would not work and so I wound up plugging in an old mouse. Then when the old mouse broke several months later I wound up trying the wireless mouse which then mysteriously almost worked. If you thrash it about somewhat. This duo was sold to me as a good quality product but already the keys are sticking on the keyboard, it has no staminia. I have been totally disappointed in this ensemble from the start and do not recommend this at all from personal experience. wireless seemed clever unreliable, sticking keys, terrible mouse, not top of the range
