Great keyboarad easy to use and nice soft clicky sounds – Due to extra money coming in , I decided to splurge and buy the K800 from Logitech online. It arrived within two days, safely packaged and handed by courier. Got it set up with no problems and I LOVE IT. It's got a soft clicky sound and is very easy to use. I'm an old school touch typist and the keys are spaced beautifully for fast efficient… Read more

typing. This model has been around for a while and is still a good seller. I can see why. The function for the keyboard to light up once you start using it is brilliant and is a god send because my computer room isn't that well lit. I will buy another if I stuff this one up. I love it so much that I lovingly give it a clean every day lol

second keyboard malfunctioning – These keyboards are poorly designed. they offer great features but are expensive and fragile. For the price i expect more robust construction. Over 4 years i have 2 both have had keystroke issues ie hitting certain keys and getting no response on screen. It can either be caused by food particles falling into the unsealed contacts of the keys or… Read more

perhaps some rough handling - not quite sure, but both have failed where in the same environment my cheap mechanical non illuminated keyboard has never failed.

Dreadful Keyboard – The K800 is very close to the worst keyboard I have ever had the misfortune to own. In my case, it lasted three weeks before I couldn't stand it anymore and I got rid of it. The keys have absolutely zero feel, so much so that mistyping is a foregone conclusion but the worst thing is that the battery needs to be charged almost every day with the… Read more

result that you really need to leave it plugged in all the time - so much for a cordless device.

The illumination switches on and off all the time which drives you crazy. I love back-lit keyboards but this is ridiculous.

Definitely not recommended - buy a decent gaming board instead.

The 'unifying receiver' can be a bit misleading – I bought this mainly as a keyboard for the PC my dimly lit cave. Having owned a K810 for a number of years was looking for a wireless larger keyboard (the K810 is quite small and hard to TT) I saw that both that and the MX anywhere 2s both used 'unifying receivers' so thought you may be able to switch devices easily 'unifying' them. Wrong! The… Read more

keyboard only actually works in the machine it is plugged into. It doesn't talk to any other receivers. So I am not sure how the unifying works for other people. The same with the mouse - so the 'flow' software only works in bluetooth mode, I spent hours trying to do it without. Both devices show up in logitech options. You need to click the device to make changes.

The buttons on the keyboard also are lovely and rounded and the typing flows well, no clanking! You can dedicate the F shortcut keys so they work with a single press and lock NUM. Every key illuminates which is so useful for when you're typing those tricky passwords.

Great keyboard – Full size keyboard, with illumination. It is a great keyboard to pair with a mouse and laptop for desk use. It includes rechargeable batteries the are charged by micro USB, works while charging. Uses Logitech Unifying USB dongle. This keyboard is only missing Bluetooth.

Very happy with this wireless keyboard and mouse – I was a bit dubious about the charging arrangement for the keyboard and mouse but it's no bother really. Have to charge the mouse once a week or 10 days but it doesn't take long and if you're busy it still functions while charging. Great mouse for graphics. Very accurate for tracing around objects in Photo Shop which is hard to find these days.… Read more

Nice keyboard. Feels good. Love the backlight function which triggers as soon as your fingers/hand hovers over the keys. Very nice.

Almost Perfect – I've had this keyboard for years now. It ticks all the boxes for me: - wireless - illuminated keys, with a sensor to detect when your hands are near - black, so it matches the rest of my gear and doesn't show dirt too much - full size extended keyboard I only wish they'd make a Mac version. It's easy to remap the control/option/command… Read more

keys, but native Mac keys would be nice.

I'd also like some warning when it will soon need a recharge, rather than just suddenly dying on me. I'm guessing that's a limitation of the Logitech Contril Centre software, as the same thing happens with my Logitech mouse.

Logitech Wireless Combo K800 – I have now had 3 of these and each one has been faulty. They all will not charge. At $195, I have had to drive miles to take each one back and each time the same problem. No joy from Logitech either who are now ignoring me -shame as it WAS a good product.

Still going strong after 2 years - best keyboard ever – I'm still as happy with this keyboard, as I was just over 2 years ago when I purchased it. The keys are easy to press and feel good to type on. Typing quickly is easy, as your fingers can easily glide over the keys. I've found I hardly ever have to charge this keyboard, it only seems to need a recharge every 3 months or so, and when it does, you… Read more

just plug in the USB cable and keep going. The fact that its illuminated is also a huge plus, and the proximity sensor means that it only lights up when you put your hands to it - stretching out the battery life even more. When initially looking for this keyboard, I found that there weren't many illuminated wireless keyboards around. The wireless range is good - I can use it from the other side of the room, and its particularly useful for keeping out of reach of my toddler while still being able to type. I also love the unifying receiver, meaning that I can also connect a Logitech wireless mouse to my computer without taking up any extra USB ports. I honestly have no complaints, I'm still in love with it!

Fabulous kit - it just works – I've had a dark-field mouse for ages, and it suffered a terrible fate (swimming in coffee cup) at the same time I was looking for a back-lit wireless keyboard - my old wireless keyboard was not backlit and was having some signal range issues. I discovered the Logitech K800 keyboard and via productreviews I discovered the MX800 kit which includes… Read more

the top of the line Logitech keyboard K800 and a prestige darkfield mouse.

The keyboard is wonderful - keys are very easy to read with 5 stages of brightness that is easily adjustable. The keys have a great feel too, springy but shallow. I'm an engineer so I also appreciate the number pad on the keyboard, as well as the media and App keys (calculator, home page, etc). I love the way the keyboard detects your hands in proximity to activate the backlight.

The gear was very easy to setup - it works on one USB nano-dongle simply by plugging it in. Adding the Logitech software adds a level of control and set-up, again very easy to use.

I love the fact both units are rechargable (about a two week cycle) and you can switch them off as well as use them whilst charging if needed. The MX800 kit also comes with the USB charge cable as well as a USB extender cable.

I would give 5 stars if not for the price - its just a tad high but justified when you use computers as much as I do.

Defo both the best keyboard and the best mouse I have ever had, and all in one package as MX800.

Keys stopped working within warranty period - Not recommended – Had this keyboard for around 6 months and the some keys stopped working, it was very lagged and after putting it in for warranty, the company (Kogan) would not replace the product with the same and offered me a completely different keyboard make/model that I absolutely hate, I guess now I am going to have to purchase a wired illuminated keyboard… Read more

from the united states and have it imported as I cannot use this keyboard for much longer, I hate it (Roccat ISKU FX), it does not even have a right shift lock key.

Not recommended as warranty wont offer the same in return. Don't purchase this keyboard or expect random keys to stop working after a certain amount of time, but within the warranty period.

Not recommended

Very unhappy Logitech customer

"Not Nearly As Happy As Everyone Else With This Keyboard And Mouse" – 1. The wheel on the mouse has a mechanical bit in it that has started to squeak - surprisingly loudly - every time my finger touches it. This has become an annoying distraction when I'm trying to concentrate on what I'm looking at on the screen. I am tempted to put some oil on the wheel to stop the squeaking. But really. And yes, I am aware of… Read more

the irony factor here. Mouse. Squeaking. Hahaha.

2. The batteries in both the keyboard and the mouse need to be recharged about every five to seven days. Which means - if I'm travelling - I have to always remember to bring with me the (non-wireless) USB cable to recharge the mouse. The mouse seems to require charging more frequently. On several occasions, I have had the mouse die on me when interstate when I had forgotten the cable. I think I prefer having longer-life alkaline batteries in these devices. One can always find AA or AAA batteries

Given the relatively high cost of this keyboard and mouse, my opinion is the design is suboptimal.

And a "dungle" another reviewer mentioned - I'm reasonably certain - refers to the smalll USB receiver that plugs into one's laptop. And no, I don't think it can be used with other devices.

Wonderful in so many ways – I decided to set up my laptop as a desktop with external monitor and keyboard. I had a clunky old keyboard that was so different to my laptop's that it annoyed me, moving from one to the other. After a lot of research I decided on one in particular but the supplier couldn't send it, so I resolved to look for others. My criteria were illuminated… Read more ·  1

keys, quality, and slim, laptop-like keys. These were generally hideously expensive, and then on eBay I found Woolworth's has a store, and I bought the aforementioned keyboard and mouse as a combination for $50 less than I could find anywhere else, and around $90 below RRP.

The keyboard allows me to type very fast, and has excellent feedback. The layout is good, with keys where I am used to finding them.

Both keyboard and mouse are rechargeable so no more batteries to buy. The keyboard lasts many weeks of daily use, and the mouse around two weeks.

Occasional users will find one charge lasting perhaps six months for the keyboard and perhaps two months for the mouse.

The mouse is a darkfield-laser mouse so it should track well even on glass, though I haven't tried that yet. It has four programmable buttons at least - I use Linux so haven't tried the setpoint application for Windows. The one anomaly on the mouse is that the scroll-wheel isn't clickable. The mouse has a shape that fits the hand comfortably.

I find this combination a delight, and the tiny dongle runs both devices as is the norm for Logitech. Both devices will go into a battery-saving mode if not used for a short while.

One question I have that perplexes me a little, is that the keyboard lighting shuts off after a short while, but will switch on again as a hand nears it - I don't need to even touch it and how it does this is a bit of a mystery.

At a RRP of $229 (packaged as the MX800 combination), it would be hard to recommend this pair, although they are both very, very good. But for the sub-$140 I paid, including speedy delivery, I not only have no complaints, but I can recommend both for quality, functionality, features, and performance very strongly.

Best keyboard ever! – As the result of repeatedly wearing the numbers/letters off computer keyboards and attempting fixes which included stick-on tabs in an effort to prolong the useful life of my computer keyboard, I decided to look for something better - maybe with laser-engraved key designations that would not wear off so quickly. Unfortunately it looks like cheap… Read more

and nasty is the name of the game with most computer keyboards sharing the same screen printed lettering technology but the Logitech K800 met my requirements exactly. With laser-engraved, backlit keys, hand sensing technology and Logitech's brilliant new "Unifying" USB technology, I now have a keyboard totally void of wiring - no massive wireless sender unit on my desktop, just a small USB dongle invisibly plugged into one of my computer's USB ports. This is not a multi-media keyboard by any means, but is a full sized, extremely low profile conventional alpha-numeric keyboard with great feel.

I am so impressed with the whole unifying technology thing that I just had to go and buy a matching Logitech M905 mouse (the touch mouse not being suitable for use with my Windows XP Operating system). If the mouse works half as well as the keyboard, I will be very, very happy. Well done Logitech! No bulking wireless sending unit or wires of any kind. Low profile, good key feel, laser engraved backlit keys. I do miss some of the shortcut keys from my previous Belkin mutimedia keyboards, but these are easily overcome using desktop shortcuts.

Brilliant wireless illuminated keyboard – Bigger buttons, each one clearly marked and well lit makes this wonderful to use, especially if you are a hunt and peck user. Saves turning lights on to use, and good for older eyes. Much better than unlit keyboard, USB recharge, wireless, volume and light controls, light touch keys, movement sensor for lighting.

Excellent – Overall this is the best keyboard I have ever used. I am actually typing this review with on it. I was looking for a keyboard with flat key response like on a laptop. I can no longer use a normal keyboard. When I got it home One of the keys was a bit graunchy. I rang logitech. They gave me the option to have it swapped over or to wait for a few… Read more ·  1

weeks or a few years (yes they have a 3 year warranty) before getting it replaced. Anyway the graunchiness disappeared after a few days. This is simply a beauty. Very highly recommended. Very nice key feel, compact, awesome to look at, illumination makes it very easy to use in a dark room, build quality, great logitech service, laptop style key activation Wish it was cordless
