Logitech X-230 Computer Speakers

Never buy Logitech speaker system again – Unfortunately bought another Logitech system, to replace the first one, as the subwoofer had stopped working. Now with the more expensive model, one main speaker is not working.

Ive had 4 of these units over the years – Ive yet to hear anything better for the money, the only flaw is that not enough of the low end is sent through the satellite speakers so there is not much of a stereo field or body because its all in the subwoofer. The bass is to much in some spaces even at the lowest settings but if you block the port in the sub with something it completely fixes the problem. Show details

Still going strong after 17 years – These speakers are fine. Good quality, adjustable bass and a neat form factor. Bought in 2005, they've moved house with us four times and in 2022 they're still working as well as the day we bought them. Show details

I have these speakers for 10 years already and still working perfect – Only once the cable got faulty and one speaker only played but all i had to was cut the cable and replace it and now it back to 100% really Logitech is probably the top brand when it come to computer speakers for myself Show details

ha ha. they also work great when your having a party and want to use your itunes music. I had a couple of friends ask me where i got them, they were surprised by the price, so i think Logitech sold a couple more after that ha ha. They have individual sound controls for the smaller speakers and the sub, the bass is awesome, there's a headphone jack, and they have mounting hooks so you can free up space on the desk, i use them with my laptop whilst sitting on the couch or in bed with the the speakers either side of me and the sub near my feet, this set up has worked extremely well for me but the setup and removal can become a bit tangled with all the cords ha ha, they are definitely better remaining stationary on a desk, but i don't have a problem because the sound is worth it! Overall i am extremely happy with the quality and sound of this product :) Cheap, long lasting, great quality. Not very portable

Good all round sound – Good sound, not great but very good. Value for money, exceeds quality expectations when you look at the price of the system. Good – For such small units these speakers produce enormous power with great clarity. The subwoofer handles bass frequencies with ease and comes with a separate volume control. Overall this is a pretty impressive system at a very affordable price. Great sound quality over all frequencies.

Fairly small.

Very inexpensive. For people who don't like dust it can be harder to clean the speakers than one would expect.

Speaker needs to be held to press power button.

Bad – Buy the creative 2500 or M2600 (updated Model) as it has the best middranges in the price class, they are often slightly cheeper, $50-$60. Good – I have a pet-peeve about anything that has any control knob/button that you can't operate without holding the unit from sliding across the desk (or whatever)! have eclectic taste in music - everything from classical (Handel) through classic rock (Warren Zevon) and alternative (Magnetic Fields) to Thrash and Heavy Metal (Ramones, Motorhead, Metallica) and everything sounds great. Great sound for such a reasonable price-tag on/off switch

Excellent – Great value for money and produces amazing sound with awesome treble and bass. Small in size and I have almost no complaints about them. Great treble, great bass and fantastic value! Pretty small for what they can produce and again, the subwoofer has great bass for those techno songs. Sound better lying horizontal so they should have a multi-function stand so you can position it however you prefer.

Good – Excellent value system for the price. Real enthusiasts may be happier spending a bit more for extra quality sound reproduction. Great value for the price. Excellent – I tested a set at DCA Computers Castle Hill & then later bought them online. They were as loud as a Creative model that was twice as expensive. I had a party with the X230's last week. Top quality sound and plenty of volume They don't take up too much desktop real estate Nothing I don't like. They look good and are expeptional value

Shop around and you'll find a bargain. So simple to set-up and use that it is, literally, child's play. Exceptionally good sound quality from such a cheap and small unit. Keep toddlers away from the speakers; they love to poke at the shiny surfaces of the speaker cones.

If your looking for a real good buy and love your sound systems you should look to buy the 5.1 logitech as they are no more the greater. :D Nice design, sound qualityis superb adjustable bass level and treble level + more.

good. Can be annoying to have to adjust subwoofer volume on the subwoofer box. At very high volumes music distorts a little bit but this pushing the speakers beyond what they were designed to do.

The bass is phenomenal for such a cheap set of speakers.

Definitely worth the weight of this product. Sub bass adjustment is on the rear of the Sub woofer. Can be a little annoying if you like to tuck the Sub box away somewhere. On top of a desk it's easily accessable.

Some say distortion at high volumes, I'm using them in a regular sized room and haven't had a problem at all.

OK – Overall it is a good set of speakers, easy to set up and provides sound slightly above what you would expect for the price. Good sound quality, and a nicely priced item as well. Fairly easy to place and not too bad on the eyes. The sub also put in some nice sound quality as well. At times the quality can seem a bit lower, especially at higher volumes.

very good for home use, on the computers or on a game console. It is a good value for money and is a great addition to my home entertainment system. The price is also very cheap and the product in appearance also looks very good. The volume must be adjusted on the speaker and since the dial is small it can be a bit annoying if you have larger hands.

Good – These speakers are awesome and produce the best sound. You can use them for ipos,computers and other stuff aswell.. something. They sound great when you have the music playing through them, and just as good with gaming. what i didnt like. Firstly i didnt like the lenght of the cables that were provided. They were only about 1 metre long, so i had to buy a 7 dollar extension cable to make them go further. Secondly, if you play them at i higher wattage then the spaekers can take they will sound realt bad and distorted, Id suggest keep them at the one level that you like it at.

The bass is quite impressive, not hifi quality but not too boomy. The speakers need a good sound card to bring out their best but with that they sound very good. These speakers really make youtube rock.

The only downside was a slight muddiness on some laptops, possibly caused by poor quality sound car but it shows a slight deficiency in the treble response. Its still overall a very impressive speaker Great value for money. You will not believe the bass A bit muddy on some PCs. The subwoofer needs careful placement.
