Great fan, quiet too! – Bought a fancy delonghi one first, way too noisy for the bedroom. The Stirling feels a bit light and not as well put together, but I like way better. It's efficient and quiet for half the price of the other one. Show details

Absolute unit – Is it perfect? No. Was it $40? Yes. This little trooper has been on nearly 24/7 for the past year and is still going strong. Wobbles a bit and sometimes makes annoying noises, but hey, so does your dog. You love your dog right? I love my fan! 10/10 doctors say I would have died from fart inhalation if not for this fan. Also not haunted, unlike the fan I got from Woolies. Show details

Not worth the money – The base is a light plastic that struggles to support the weight and keep it stable. My unit the base plastic was warped so it did not sit flat on the ground resulting in a very light knock which knocked it over straight into my wall. Plenty of better options for this price point. Show details

A matter of economics – As I see it this fan is just as good or bad as most of the other tower fans that are marketed under different brand names, probably out of the same component factories and assembled by the same factory somewhere in China by poorly paid workers. The only difference is that it costs 40 bucks and not around 100 bucks. I could therefore buy 2 1/2 fans… Read more

for the same money. If it lasts this summer I am already ahead and if stuffs up then I have some spare parts for my next one. It is a nice fingerprint black and will circulate the air in my office. I would appreciate it if it could print out the winning Powerball numbers but that is a bit much to expect for 40 bucks. Some other reviewers have mentioned that it is noisy but I can't hear it over the ACCA DACCA tracks whilst I work. So there you have it, Do yourself a favour and use it as a tax deduction if you use it in your office.

Cheap and cheerful – These fans can't be knocked for the price and function. They come with a remote that works well, they have all the function of fans well over $100 , they work work and work, and are easy to clean and well built (strong, proportioned, easy to assemble). They are a little louder than some but the fan noise is something that fan people like and I don't have an issue with it. Show details

NOISY – very disapointed with this fan, so NOISY! so much that i'm wondering if there is something wrong with it. have only just got it out of the box, so should be in good working order, but has a very loud mechanical noise. after a few dodgy purchases from Aldi, won't be buying from there again.  Show details

Good price though a bit noisy for bedroom – This fan works well in a small soon such as a bedroom. It's a great price at $39.99 when comparative models are at least twice the price. It does a good job when you're awake, eg when my child is doing homework in her room. However it's a bit noisy when the house is quiet and she's trying to sleep.  Show details

Awesome fan – These fans are great. We bought our first one last year and were so impressed, we have bought two more. They are relatively quiet. They are safe for kids. The remote is a good idea. They take up much less space than a pedestal fan, and work better. Highly recommended and great value.  Show details

DARN GOOD – It is so good that Idecided to buy another one for my workshop. The trouble with Aldi as against other retailers, they don't keep regular stock. There was none left when I went back several days after my purchase. My message is....if you need a fan and see this available, go for it. You wont be disappointed.  Show details

Great product – It arrived today, I bought the premium tower from eBay and I am very very happy. less than 5 minutes to put the stand together, plug it in and away it goes. The circulation of air is fabulous. I am very happy with the presentation, and the whole item. No complaints from me, I would buy another one. Fabulous fan, easy to put together, plug it in and wow it is strong, attractive and easy on the eye
