Mad About Science

As a happy Homeschooling education teacher I have found 'Mad about Science' one of our favourite places to source equipment and resources. From the beautiful Earth Science Rock sets, measuring cylinders, chemistry atom model sets, PH and litmus papers and the Periodic table placemat to name a few. The items are high quality, good prices and are always delivered promptly. Thank you to the 'Mad about Science' team!☺️‍‍‍

Not so good – I ordered glass ware from their company and they are good but never by the hand operated vacuum pumps as they would break down for you as it happened to me. I also contacted them back for a partial refund and so far I have not gotten a response. Don’t even bother with their website trust me it is better to go to science equip its so much better.

So very quick! – I ordered some goggles, pippettes and magnifying glasses. I ordered on Sunday night and they were on my doorstep Wednesday morning. So quick! The products are amazing. I am.a preschool teacher and showed my kids today. They cannot wait to smash rocks, look at insects and mix colours

What a waste of good money! – Purchased a paper wind up Australian Butterfly which cost $5.00 and spent another $5.00 for postage. Postage was shared with a friend who also purchased a wind up butterfly. So the postage paid in total was $10 plus 2 paper wind up butterflies@$5.00 each.($20 in total) No cards provided and butterfly gadget does not even work properly. I do not recommend this product.

Item not as shown in photo, came scratched and dented – Items received were clearly not the same as those in the picture. Out of the package they were scratched and dented. Attempted to leave a review explaining this on the product but it never displayed; clearly they don't display any bad reviews on their site to give the illusion of customer satisfaction.

Great customer service and exciting products – I love the quality of their science stuff and that there's so much to look at and buy. I've bought from them a few times now and everything is always packaged well and in pristine condition. They are able to source items that aren't advertised and they communicate well if you have any queries. I love them! I live in Perth and packages arrive quickly.

Very inpressed – I ordered numerous items from Mad About Science and was delighted when the parcel arrived just a few days later. Everything was packaged well and all items correct. As they are for Xmas I can't tell as yet whether the items will work, although the Chatter Santa was opened and has given everyone a lot of fun already, but I am sure they will be fine. Excellent service and I will buy again.

10 out of 10. I got some really unusual and different gifts for my son's upcoming birthday. Fyi he has an intellectual disability and the product range on their website has a tonne of great items relating to his interests, as well as some fantastic stuff for my non-disabled turning 11 y/o daughter.

Never knew what a praxinoscope was before but now I do and she will love this one! Price wise, another 10 out of 10. As an example, the Snap Circuits Jr kit I got was about $10 cheaper than anywhere else, and in some situations $40 cheaper. Postage cost, 10 out of 10. Would've only cost me a small amount around $10 but by spending $120 (easy to do as the range is so broad), my postage was free. Delivery time, 10 again. They were informative on their website and kept their word- my package was dispatched the same day as purchase and my email from them contained tracking info. It's in Aust Post hands from that point so it's all about their handling/dispatch times. Excellent.

Packaging was another top score, it was all in a sturdy box and contained heavy screwed up paper to fill any gaps and prevent damage to internal boxes. Product quality is also excellent. This isn't bootlegged cheap copies of other brands, it is all quality stuff.

I cannot fault Mad About Science dot com dot au and will definitely recommend them to others as well as buy from them again myself.

Ten out of ten for everything. Product range, search functions (age, sex, categories), prices, free postage over $120, postage costs if under that amount very reasonable as well, interesting and never before seen (by me) products that far-exceed any other store like National Geographic, informative dispatch email, packaging and dispatch time.

I received an item broken and the company won't respond! – I purchased Construct a Clock in which the structural clock was broken. The item cannot be constructed when all components do not sit accurately.I contacted the company and of course they are not interested and have failed to respond. Customer service is very important, even via online. I will not be purchasing from this company again. Broken
