Dreadful Service – I have a leaking Amio Hi Rise Mixer tap for over two weeks while I have tried in vain to source a cartridge to fix the problem. Went through Reece who ordered the cartridge a week ago, but the order has still not been dispatched from Melbourne to get to Sydney, a week later. This company is incompetent, and the poor service I have received just… Read more

I am forced to click on a star rating, but take it from me, this company deserves no stars at all.
Faulty from day 1 – Methven tap cartridge poor quality, leaked from day 1 behind plasterboard. Now architrave, skitrting are all bowed and paint peeling. Gyprock is damaged and studs rotted. Methven said if I want to take it further we have to approach accc...warranty means squat with extremely poor customer service. Unfortunately I have 3 showers and 5 taps from… Read more

My rang methven, they said its not their problem the damage the cartridge caused. Again i state rubbish overpriced products. Just like our smeg $3500 INDUCTION HOT PLATE... 3 installs to get one working. Tell the world thats all we can do
Worst tap in the world! – Worst tap ever! Like the others we were seduced by the design but that was about all that is good about this tap! Water splashes everywhere! Nightmare - avoid it!
The worst possible tap - Avoid and choose another – I bought this tap from Masters pretty happy with the design. Plumber installed it and from there it all went downhill. When water from the tap hits anything, it essentially sprays the kitchen, the walls, the floors etc. I rang up and spoke to customer service, they asked for a video, so I sent one in showing the tap performing its function. No… Read more
reply. So I sent in a follow up email to see what their thoughts were. No reply. Crap customer service, which then paints the brand Methven with the same brush. Super disappointed in the tap and Methven. Please avoid at all costs. The number of bad reviews on here is evidence of its worthlessness.
Dreadful service from Methven Australia – Our problem is with the Amio wall top assembly. We ordered spigot extenders 10 days ago and have been given a real run around from Methven in Melbourne. They wouldn't supply us direct so we had a trade shop do it for us and we have been waiting 10 days - only to be told on Friday firstly that the order was still sitting on someone's desk & then… Read more
that they had to send them from Perth. Delivery was promised today - still not here.
We are also wondering why they don't supply extenders since almost every reno would need them - the spigots are extremely short.
Avoid this tap at all costs! – I bought this tap from Bunnings for $289 3 weeks ago - purely based on the beautiful design of it - the trouble is you can't 'test drive' any of their tapware to see how the water flows. This tap makes a hell of a mess - turn it on and go to wash your hands / rinse something under it and water goes EVERYWHERE. It looks like there is no aerator… Read more
which I think would stop this from happening. Really poor functionality design - whoever designed this obviously didn't test it first. I am seriously considering replacing it but at $289 it isn't the cheapest tap. Absolutely disappointed as it is a really nice looking tap.
Update - phoned methven today and they suggested I remove the plastic cap thingy on the spout - which must be their alternative solution to having no aerator - this did solve the excessive splash back problem - however now when you turn the tap off it does leak a lot of water for a few seconds afterwards - because it has such a long spout and the plastic cap stopped this previously. They said no to exchanging or refund as it's the design of the tap.
Broke in half! – We have had this tap in place for three years and yes it would occasionally run on as other reviewers have said though this did settle down after a few weeks. Then tonight it just blew apart - the gooseneck just came apart from the base. Water everywhere. No Happy.
Worst Kitchen Tap ever – This tap was purchased via the only means with which you can make a decision on tapware, looks alone. It is a beautiful looking tap. That is the only positive thing I have to say about this tap. My plumber husband installed this tap 1.5 years ago. It has spurted water everywhere since the day it was installed. The design is faulty. They… Read more
have no aerator in the tap and it takes my average water pressure down to a trickle on my kitchen sink. I thought it could not get any worse but today the tap goose neck came off in my husbands hand and water went every where.
If that is not the worst tap you have ever had then I don't know what could be worse. Disgusting. My husband will never recommend these products to anyone and I recommend you buy any other brand than this one. Very disappointed in the product. Do not buy. The gooseneck looks amazing Wastes water, leaks, 1.5 years and its actually broken in two, reduces water pressure, no aeration, faulty design and not the cheapest tap ever bought but the worst by far!
Poor design, water waster – This tap looks great, but water continues to flow from spout when tap is closed. The cartridge intermittently leaks under the handle, sometimes overnight, even though the water pressure has been tested as acceptable. Water flow from spout is unsightly and not even. Definitely check for supplier who has one on display before purchase. Looks great, nice height and great swing on spout. Poor flow, continues to flow water when turned off.
Innefectual design - a real water waster – Despite its high cost and claims of superior technology this tap is a hopelessly poor performer. My recommendation is that prospective buyers should cross it off their wish list. My newly installed tap continues to run for about 5 seconds after being turned off, leaking each time about a quarter cup(more than 50ml)of water - a significant level of… Read more
wastage over time (at least a litre for 20 turnoffs, thus on average in most households easily more than a litre per day, over 350 litres per year)! Goose neck taps are commonplace in scientific laboratories where I have worked. I have never seen one leak this way - the deficiency here is surely due to poor basic design and inadequate product testing before this item was released on an unsuspecting public. The same problem is reported on this website for the similar goose neck 3-hole hob mounted set. A Tip - buy your taps from a dealer who has running taps on display! Looks fabulous, and shoul be - but don't be fooled An unacceptable water-waster
