Miele KM 2034 G

Gas Hob burst into flames – Really loved my KM2034 hob, looks great and worked well until last week my gas hob burst into flames after I turned gas knob off. I could only put out the fire by turning off gas mains outside the house. I rang Miele and explained what had happened, they said it was a gas problem and to call a plumber. Plumber took off stainless steel top revealing that an electrical wire inside the KM2034 hob had arced a 3mm x1mm hole in a gas pipe inside the hob and a smaller hole in the stainless steel top and caused this fire. This could easily have been far more serious.

I am now up for a new hob and probably a new stone bench top as the the current one was cut to fit.

It's now 2weeks on and very difficult to get a reply from Miele!!!

Happy as Ever – Did a lot of research and ended up with this product. Its amazing to notice that cooking seems to actually finish a bit quicker because our old cook top was obviously inefficient. Happy with the quality of the product as it seems supremely well built which is what you want with some thing you use every day. I am a Miele convert and totally get why the product is priced at a premium. Will strive to replace everything in the house with Miele product as and when required.. Solid built, efficient burners, classy look if you use a big pan on the wok burner the other burners are limited to very small pans only, cooking sequence would need to be thought through before you start, however for the size not being the biggest model adjustment I am happy to make

Top Quality Product – I decided on a Miele after our old Smeg cooktop finally failed... The staff at Miele were fantastic and helped choose the right product for my needs! I will be replacing the rest of the kitchen appliances with Miele its such a top quality product made in Germany... The price is slightly higher but you pay for what you get :-) Reaches tempreture very quickly with its hot flame

Beautiful & practical! – Bought the cooktop as part of a full kitchen renovation and have not been disappointed. It's beautiful as far as cooktops go. The temperature control is fantastic. The hobs are spaced perfectly for my saucepans. The trivets feel solid and good quality and remove so easily for cleaning. The dials & lighting the hobs are easy to use too. Great temperature control, easy to clean Looks messy after a bit of cooking splatter
