Perfect vacuum – I have had the Miele Vacuum for a few years and it’s still going strong, Excellent suckion, great manoeuvre campabilities I have always preferred the vaccuum bags for hygiene reasons and I am happy the the vacuum bags are strong and don’t release any smells I recommend any Miele Vaccuum as value for money Show details · 1
Poor Accesories and Service – Whilst the Miele S2 110 has good suction and is relatively easy to use, the accessories and hose connectors are of a very poor quality. The connecting lugs tend to break off and there are no spare parts available. Visits to various repairers did have no positive results and visiting Miele Service Centre was matched with blank faces and no action.… Read more
Very poor for a generally good brand name company. Had to improvise to repair the hose connection with good old hard drawn metal wire.
Most annoying vacume cleaner on the planet – It is a nightmare trying to reassemble after emptying!!!!!!!!!!!!! it takes about 20 minutes each time to fluke it I cannot understand why anyone would make it so difficult I f you don't fluke the assembly perfectly it falls apart Minutes to use on a floor I would say 30 minutes of frustration and I have had 3 adults try and all gave in ABLOLUTE RUBBISH Harder than a Rubicks cube
when it was operational it was wonderful – We had the miele for several years - how many exactly - hmmm - maybe 4 or thereabouts. And when it was working it was marvelous. Be aware there are two filters that need regular changeover and they are expensive. Still, it did a great job, was simple to use, not too noisy and really lightweight. Lots going for it. However, the vacuum stopped… Read more
working this week. The top where you step on it to make it operate no longer functions (though the cord still retracts).
I bought it in Melbourne but now live in Shanghai but, not a problem I thought, there is a miele service centre here as well. Unfortunately they advised that it would cost equivalent of $250 to repair the machine. Considering they are selling new for around $300 I thought I would pass. I have bought an inexpensive Phillips to tide me over until I am back in Australia and then will look into a Dyson or Rainbow.
Maybe I just have bad luck with vacuum cleaners but I would expect one to last beyond 4 years. Maybe they're just not made like that anymore. A bit of a disappointment - but a good vacuum cleaner when it functions . Does the job well.
Great Vacuum that lasts – Great suction power. I've had the vacuum for quite a few years and never had a problem. It's still working fantastically.
Great Vacuum Cleaner – This has been great over about 3 years now. Someone said they got bags online for $1.50 each, that's certainly not what I've found but I use official miele bags, perhaps he's talking about alternative brands. The curved plastic piece where you hold to actually vacuum cracked- it has quite a bit of pressure on it- but miele sent out a replacement… Read more
for free. Overall, thoroughly recommend it. Got it online for about $250. good suction, red colour, quality of manufacture. handle snapped, more expensive than cheap vacuums
Go with the best – Forget all the $99 rubbish and the equally ridiculously priced Dyson and just buy a Miele. The suction is unbelievably good. Yes you have to buy bags but they can be obtained online for about $1.50 each and its just so easy to replace and avoid all the dust blowing in your face when you want to empty bagless into the dustbin on a windy day. last Miele lasted about 15 years, then when it finally 'died' I made the mistake of buying the fancy looking (but useless) Chinese rubbish from online sites. My wife finally persuaded me to buy another Miele at half the price and more of a Dyson (from the Good Guys) and I wished I'd done it sooner. Light strong, fantastic suction, long cord, great performer Nothing I have encountered yet
Great suction and great price point – Very economical vacuum that has a great level of power. It's built well and is relatively quiet. Make sure you consider this before other vacuums at this price point. They really are worth the little extra - with a solid feel, and excellent level of power. Bags are relatively inexpensive too. Power, quiet and easy to use Tools are exposed which is a pain - but acceptable given its price
There's only German made and badly made – Vacuuming is a different experience with a Miele. For the same price range, other vacuum cleaners are noisier, have less suction but consume more power and a hassle to clean. The way it was engineered is well thought of: It has a larger dust compartment than the others and the sealing of the compartment is better. There is less that could leak or… Read more
go wrong. Plus they say the product has been tested for 20 years of use (let's hope it is true). Most Miele components are still built in Germany or in Europe and not outsourced to cheap and exploitative labor (let's hope its true also). So I'm not supporting companies that exploit people. Silent, Solid, Simple. It was the last one left, I got the demonstration model with some negligible scratches. But the nice guy at Godfreys gave it to me for $50 less.
S2111 Very Happy – I bought the Miele S2111 after having a Wertheim for 20 years. I am very happy. It is very light. The head gets a little dirty on the carpet setting and it can be hard to clean the fluff stuck on. Very happy and I got a great deal at Godfreys. Very light and vacuums well. Head gets dirty and sometimes the wand is hard to take apart
Very very happy – Can`t fault it - much much better than the 3 year old Nilfisk it replaced. This has to be the best vac I`ve had in the last 20 years. Would definitely reccomend it to others above other brands. It`s extremely lightweight and compact. Very well-built and very inexpensive. As someone else stated - cord could be longer and a telescopic wand would have been easier for storage
Great vacuum, as good as expensive models – Great vacuum, my dad has another Miele but a lot more expensive model and mine is every bit as good. Great attachments and power settings. Only downfall is the hose isn't telescopic like the expensive model. I have a jack Russell terrier that lives inside and a black microfiber couch, and the vacuum doesn't have any trouble removing the hair she leaves! No telescopic hose
Never Fails – I have 2 Miele Vac Cleaners ( I have a domestic Cleaning Business)having used many of my clients other brands I now choose to take my Miele with me to my Jobs as it is far superior in suction cutting my time in half and gives the carpets a good deep clean, which is great when you have pets.My clients are always impressed. Miele gets my vote every… Read more

Know better, choose better.
Excellent – After owning a cumbersome Hoover VC358 I decided on this machine. Choice reviewed cheap vacuums Jan 2010 and this came up as good dirt and pet hair removal. I agree it is good! It was 1/3 the price I paid for the Hoover 4 years ago, is about 1/3 the weight, 1/3 the noise and is easy to manouvre and store. Excellent value and performance for the… Read more
money! lightweight. Good cord length. Quiet. Very good cat hair collection off carpet. Easy access to extra attachments. Great value for money. Not bagless. Doesn't have a telescopic wand.
Great for perfectionist cleaners! – Seriously don't waste your money on other vacuums (I already have). This vacuum is awesome! The suction is amazing. Even in areas I couldn't quite reach it still sucked up the dust. I have a newborn baby and am really worried about dust mites and allergies etc and this vacuum has been godsend. My house and car is 100 times cleaner than with my old… Read more
vacuum I bought from Target and it does the job in a third of the time and was not that much more expensive.
It has great manouverbility so you can get the job done quickly, without having to fuss over overturned vacuums or cord tangling etc. I have the s2110 model and it has somewhere to clip the hose temporarily while you move furniture around etc, and a stand to neatly tuck away the hose close to the body for compact storage. It also has a stand for the different hose connections so you can redilly switch between nozzles for different cleaning jobs.
I also used my mums cat & dog model and the only difference is the type of brush used, I kept my old rotating brush from my old vacuum and used it on this model and it works just as good to remove pet hair, so I wouldn't bother spending the extra 100s of dollars for that model when this is just as good, if not better, because it has those little features. I really used the extra features a lot, the places to stand the hose temporarily and during storage gave me piece of mind as I wasn't constantly getting annoyed at it falling, slipping and getting in the way. At first I thought bags would be annoying to purchase constantly, but now i'm really glad I don't have to breath in all the dust or get dust all over me when emptying the bagless types. Plus the bags last for almost 4months before needing to be changed. The suction is a bit too strong on the lowest setting, especially compared to the cat & dog model, which made it hard to vacuum dust from small crowded areas such as dressing tables.
Good – I love this machine, in 6 years I've blown up a hoover, 2 x kambrook's & another cheap crapy machine. I've now had this vac for 2 1/2years and it sucks (in a good way) just as well as the day I got it. Be careful with generic bags I had a brand that didn't fit right and I ended up with a lot stuff trying to get into the engine thank goodness for the filter. Light weight, doese a great job bags can be expensive, cord could be longer
