Natureguard – Mortein Nature Guard gave me the scare of my life, when I used it for the first time ever today. Other products have never given such a reaction with all precautions were taken, including today. The fumes must have broken through the barrier because after the first spray I immediately started to cough. I was coughing uncontrollably, my nose… Read more
would not stop running, oh my the sweat was running off my body.
Coughing has now reduced but feeling light headed.
You say this is 90% natural, I am pretty sure it's 10% natural and 90% poison.
Never again will I use this, what are you not telling us?! A reaction like this would only happen if it was used for a prolonged period but 1 spray thats all it took.
Batteries overheating – Bought one of these today. I put the batteries from the packet into the unit and sat it on the table. After 10 minutes or so I was wondering why it wasn't working so I went to pull the batteries thinking I put them in the wrong way. I had put them in the right way and they were that hot I couldn't handle them... I put another set of batteries in and it worked fine Lucky it didn't catch fire!
Watched insects bathing in the mist – Pointed mist in direction of outside light watching mist engolf light and insects all night. To my horror I watched the insects dancing the tango all night under the light. What an utter waist of money.
Good work Mortein :) – Negative:- Complete waste of time, effort and money.. Didn't see any difference in fly/insect control.. In fact, I would even go as far to say it was worse with this product than not.. Positive:- It's a nice colour green tin :)
too expensive – works but not as good as they advertise any breeze just disperses product . refill did not last very long and at over $15.00 is not good value so unless price comes down will not buy again
False Advertising, almost - read the fine print – Product works but don't use it if you don't like inhaling the synthetic chemicals. It is called Naturgard, a very misleading name. As stated, it contains plant-based pyrethrins, but less than 20% by weight. These don't work very well so more than 80% of it is Piperonyl butoxide and N-Octyl bicycloheptene dicarboximide and these are sprayed into the air you are breathing every 20 seconds.
Overpriced – Why does this item cost twice the price of the same thing in a manually operated can? I don't see how Mortein justify the extra cost just for putting it in a smaller can with a different nozzle. The ingredients are identical on the two different dispenser types. Pretty poor value for money when you take that into account. It does automatically keep the bugs under control The cost cannot possibly be justified. This is price gouging at its worst
Worked a treat, definitely buying again – Used on back deck for NYE party from 4 pm until midnight, over 30 people and no flies to be seen and no mosquito bites. Worked far better than I could have hoped for and intend to use every time we eat outside, Reliable. Works. Value for money.
