Ok if you can work on it. Does cut well – Had this for over a year, used 5 times & when runs it does an amazing job. Problems though. .. the carb had rattled its way loose after 1 go & it wouldn't run properly, so I tightened it. Ran well again then the cord wouldn't retract so I fixed it. It became harder & harder to start. Now it is spraying fuel out of the exhaust & won't start. It is… Read more
out of the 1 yr warranty so bit of a shame it seems disposable now unless I spend $$ at a service place.
Painful to use – The pull cord won't retract until you leave it and the jig it around a little. Once running it's fine but I shouldn't need to go to so much effort starting it. I've not had the chance to use it a second time because the pull cord won't retract again. Show details

Great unit. Impressive extras. Fast delivery – More than happy. Large number of useful add ons and safety equipment. Highly recommended. Show details · 1
MTM brushcutter – Found the MTM brushcutter suitable for the job I need it for, although the handles could be made more stronger, as when using it for the first time, the right hand control handle, bent easily when cutting through moderate growth, causing the light aluminium to soften and continue to bend when being used. Customer service was informed and a… Read more · 1
replacement part was sent within a short time. The area the brushcutter is used each time is about 200 sq metres and the brushcutter is heavy to use, needing to use the should strap to support it. Easy to start and is powerful enough to do the work. I have not tried the line system, but have used the blades for the work needed.
Brilliant Saved My Business – Staple of our kit for our business as we run three and have saved a fortune in replacement capital costs compared to our other overpriced USA made gear. Powerful and safe. Needs to run in to be appreciated. Heaps of power when you rev it. Common mistake for newbies is to slip the clutch by not revving enough before starting the load. Runs well on… Read more
2.7 mm cord and once run in 40 : 1 fuel to limit the oil smoke, definitely runs better than on 25 : 1 which is a overkill. Starts easily cold or hot without the STIHL jiggery poke procedure. Only downside is the attachment clamps are a bit fiddly and when carrying the extensions the internal rod can slide out. Have not experienced any of the issues mentioned in the other reviews and is the same weight as comparable makes.
MBX700 Line Trimmer – The head of this line trimmer is weak and inadequate given that it is on the end of a powerful 62cc motor. After the first 20 minutes of use the ratchet in the bump head was worn out. On the slightest load the head would pay out and shred the line. The spinning line damaged the guard. I have requested, under warranty, a new guard and head and if they fail again I will be returning this product for a refund. Definitely NOT recommended. Show details
Heavy, complex, does not do what it is meant to – Heavy to use, very strong motor but clutch is crap and power is not transferred well to chainsaw or to hedge trimmer. Therefore it is not performing those functions. Trimmer head fell apart after a couple of hours of use. Best use is with a round saw blade - goes through most things but hardly useful for ordinary garden trimming. Cannot recommend and would not but again. Show details
Crap – Spark plug lasted one hour. Choke snapped off. Vibrates that bad it loosened /lost all the screws and it ripped off the bracket for the fuel tank. Pull start broke. Cheapo made and designed. Can only say the motor runs well. The attachments seem very crap specially the saw . Show details
Weak screws/thread – No manual. Tried to assemble cutting attachment but screw thread broken. No details how to fit blades/ nylon cutting assembly. No details on how/who to return to. Now require whole attachment for blades and nylon line cutting assemble. Please advise your return policy as it is required. Thanks goldcoastgeorge thanks Show details
Very disapoinded – Found this multi purpose tool to be very heavy , after using it for 10 minutes the air filter cover fell off. I can not get anyone to tell me what NGK plug it takes as the standard pug failed. Very hard to start when hot. I wish I spend a bit more and got a named brand.
Unit comes unassembled with unreadable user manual – There is no indication, in the sales blurb, that this product comes unassembled. Which is misleading at best. As for the assembly, the user manual is unreadable - most diagrams are completely illegible. The very first assembly instruction is "loosen two clamp screw and remove one index screw". Inexpensive - "you get what you pay for"… Read more
Unassembled. User manual might as well be written in chinese. No available pdf to download - if there were you may have been able to read the diagrams.
It has issues – The material used on the clamp for the bull handles is too soft and the threads strip without over tightening, no matter how tight the hex screws are tightened the handles still move. The choke is poorly positioned, go to start it and you will find that your hand will turn the choke on, the trimmer head is a joke to change line on Good power load, easy to start In the review
Better than I expected – Bought it online and thought it would be shoddy. But it is pretty good, it does the job, it is powerful and full of grunt. Has multiple attachments and is not that fidgetty to put together. I had problems starting it, but once started, it didn't not start first time thereafter. Good for the money about $150. Eats petrol and the trigger is badly angled. powerful eats petrol like crazy, heavy, heavy, bad angle on trigger
Handle slips – I've used the blade attchement all day . No problems there, but the handle with the throttle slips, causing the idle speed to set too high. I did read a forum saying the only issue was the handle. They ended up bolting the handle onto the shaft. I can't find the forum, but that it what is required. Power, ease of start Handle slips, it does become heavy after a while. Shaft connections must be completey joined for extension pieces to work
