Skin reaction – Face has been left extremely red, felt like pins and needles on my skin overnight, very hot face, swollen. This has lasted over 2 days now. It has calmed a bit with antihistamine tablet. Beautician has given me cream to use to try to heal the reaction. This is not the first time I've reacted to nair hair removal cream for face. Show details

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible – Do not buy this product! It burnt my skin so much and caused a rash and pimples. I tried it twice (the second time for less time) and both times it completely ruined my skin. 48 hours later and my upper lip is still red and blotchy. It hurt so much to even open my mouth a day after application. It also hurt to apply other products like moisturiser… Read more

and soothing gel. When I have used general nair cream on my upper lip in the past it didn't cause pain and irritation like this product does, and this product is advertised specifically for facial hair AND for people with sensitive skin! It should be banned. I'm honestly disgusted.

Works for me! Do a test run first to check for sensitivity – I’ve been using this product for well over 15 years and don’t have an issue with it. I only use it on the upper lip. Doesn’t work on my chin as it’s too coarse I think. Tip: try various ways of wiping the cream off. Some work and others don’t. Best to use after a shower and I use a cellulose sponge or several cotton pads soaked in warm/hot water to wipe it off. It also lasts forever so it’s great value for money. Show details

I was wary but this is so good – I originally was skeptical of this cream because it's so cheap in price. However, I've been using it for upper lip and it's so good. I read reviews before buying it so I did a patch test first after hearing people complain about how it irritated their skin and how it smelt bad, but I did not experience anything of the sort. This left my skin… Read more

feeling even smoother than before. I would definitely recommend this. You might want to do a patch test first though, just in case

Removed hair easily, slight warmth and numbness – Left it on for about 6 minutes for long thin blonde hair on my chin, sideburns and upper lip. Definitely removed 100% of the hair, however my face feels warm and numb, nothing that you wouldn't get with waxing. It's a lot faster and cheaper than waxing, And waaaay less painful, I'll use it again!

It's ok but hairs grow back too fast! – I was plucking chin hairs out daily so got this to make it easier, apparently grows back fine and not suppose to grow back too fast. Well it grows back quick n thick. I have to use it every other day now to avoid looking like a witch! rip off! Show details

Chemical burns to face and neck – My daughter used this product and only left it on for a couple of minutes. She finished up in the ER for 2nd degree chemical burns to her face and neck. Warning to other young people out there, use something else like Electrolysis it's far safer and won't leave you with scars Show details

BurnedFace – Worked well first week. Second week I tried again. Didn’t seem to have worked so I reapplied for 1 minute (total 5 mins). Rubbed off with wet facecloth. Nasty burn. I didn’t put it under cold water at first because I didn’t realise. Used a cold pack a bit later in the night. Have been moisturising intensively. Hoping it won’t scar. Show details

DO NOT USE ON FACE – Following the use of the sensitive facial nair remover, chemical burns occurred all over face which caused serious infection resulting in hospitalization, surgery by plastic surgeon and unable to work. At this stage, possible long term scarring Show details

Do not buy!! – Patch tested and everything went well. 24 hours later I used the cream and it worked pretty well. Until a few hours later when the areas I used the cream started to swell. It got worse overnight and still hasn’t gone away. But hey at least no burns. Show details

Do not recommend! This product burnt my face! – I closely followed the instructions on the packet, as I'd never used a hair removal cream before, and I left the cream on my face for 4 minutes. After I'd removed it, certain areas were bright red and really painful - it looks and feels like a burn. Twenty minutes late and it's still stinging and painful. I did a patch test before hand, so have no idea why this happened. Do not recommend.  Show details

Terrible, burnt my skin! – I used to use this product years ago. Decided to use a few days ago, what a terrible mistake! Left it on my the recommended time of 3 mins and it burnt my skin. I'm now left with peeling dry skin. Honestly, this product needs to be removed off the shelves. Definitely not a 'sensitive product' like what is stated on the box! Show details

Absolute Sh!te – Started off doing a patch test just at the side of my upper lip, no issues or irritation for the minimum time allowed to apply, so started putting on the rest of the upper lip, started to tingle, and now it’s kind of burning! Wiped it off the minimum time, and it’s still nit a good feeling.... won’t be using this again.... at all, and no one else should either... Show details

Burnt my skin. Left with facial scarring – I left the Nair removal cream for a period of 2-3 minutes each on my upper lip, mindful of the time instructed to leave it on for. Immediately within the first 30 seconds I felt a burning & tingling sensation. Panicking, but certain this was part of the whole "hair removal process" I waited out the time then immediately removed with water. Note… Read more

that packaging instructs we can leave on upto 5 minutes. Soon started to convince myself the burning sensations I was feeling would be nothing. Still am feeling the burning 6 hours later after lathering my face with copious amounts of Aloe Vera and Vaseline in my mass panic, which has helped to soothe the pain a little, but nothing to alleviate the stress and anger I am feeling.

I am left with considerable scarring which I am certain will start to scab. Wish I could sue this company for its every penny for the hurt and frustration it has caused apparently many of us women (and may perhaps, the menfolk) and the betrayal we have faced after using this seemingly harmless product.

Please email me if you would like to take this matter further: [contact details removed]

Make that a negative 5..absolute kaka – Burnt chin. Looks like the rear end of a baboon after 14 hours of application at the minimum time, being 3 minutes. Stings worse than accidently dropping a jug of lemon juice on a fresh paper cut and now I look like dead pool. Not happy! Sensitive skin, my chin! Would highly recommend growing a beard, than deal with the BRIGHT RED chemical burn that looks and feels horrific. Show details

The nair sensitive facial hair remover is just bad! – This products without a doubt has ruined my face, burnt off parts when I put on the cream for the appropriate time, I am so disappointed in this product I wish I saw the reviews.. because I went through hell with this disgusting product.. does not deserve to be on the shelf at all. Show details

Made my skin bright red – I put it on for 3 mins above my eyebrows to shape them. It started stinging from the start but I thought this was normal ( I bought sensitive) over 24 hours later my skin is red, blotchy ,patchy and feels rough and dry. It did little to remove the hairs too. It has ‘tones’ the brow however plucking is so much easier and is more cost effective Show details

Wish I had read the reviews- burnt my skin off – I bought this product on a whim as it was on sale- and now I know why! It literally burnt all the skin off my chin, and didnt remove the hair. I left it on for 3mins (minimum time) but then the stinging became too intense and I decided to rinse it off. Initially the skin was just red, but within 15minutes it had peeled leaving red, raw, bleeding… Read more

areas. I have been dressing it with solosite wound gel, but at still concerned that it will scar. I did a patch test prior to use on my arm and did not have this problem, so perhaps the product would be better suited to body use only.
