Naty Eco Nappies

Severe nappy rash – These were the first nappies that my children ever got nappy rash from, I gave them a few tries thinking it could be dietary but they were in so much pain I stopped and went back to my old brand, the nappy rash disappeared Show details
Sadly, never again… – Only nappy left in the size of my bub at the grocery so I decided to try. Will give stars for packaging and eco-friendly purposes. However, I can’t believe it could only hold about 2-3 LIGHT wees. It will also NOT hold runny/watery stools as it’s only about 1/4 the thickness of usual brands. I can’t comment on the tabs as I never had to re-adjust… Read more
and I haven’t had the courage to try them at night as I don’t want to go through the trouble of changing bub’s clothes and sheets. I thought $18 for 50pcs was a good deal (lucky it was on sale) but oh my goodness. I just wasted money and should’ve waited for the next nappy re-stock.
They have reduced padding and size! – Out of saving money I donno but they have reduced amount of padding by around a third and size by around 1/4! Poor form these nappies are so expensive and bought for my heavy wetter now won't but again and need another solution! Very disappointed Show details

one of the best – These nappies feel a bit more paper like than platsic like - probably due to the natural materials used. Of all the eco nappies we tried (molton, bambo nature, muuni, ecoriginals, tooshies) I like these best and like the paper like feel. Our son has zero irritation and they actually use cornstarch and bioplastics rather than polyethylene plastics… Read more
like a lot of the other scandi/german eco brands (molton, muuni, bambo). They also use no perfumes or odour blockers (like tooshies) and for us it is mosly holding everything in (unlike ecoriginals, where we had wee and poo disasters every time we used them). I also like these much better than conventional brands, such as huggies, where we had leaks and nappy rash. I noticed that naty size 1 was a bit big when he was a newborn - overseas there's a newborn size but that's not available here. Then it goes up to size 3 here - while overseas there's a size 2. When we switched from size one (up til 5 kgs) to size 3 (5-9 kgs), these were too big and leaked sometimes. We then used tooshies size 2, which gave him a rash; probably due to the odour blockers. Since he's around 6 kg, these are great and fit really well (he is 8 kgs now). So I think part of the problem described on this site by some is an Australian problem - as some sizes are not available and nappies must fit. All in all, of course they could be a bit softer but I prefer knowing there are no plastics, perfumes, phtalates etc on his skin and for us, they are holding up well.
So dissappointed in naty – Ive used naty nappies at night time on my son since he was new born, and tried various other nappies during the day over the last 3 years. I had only used their nappies and love them but they only went up to size 6, so i was stoked to find they had size 6 nappy pants and decided to try them.. what a mistake, they gave my son welts and a massive… Read more
painful rash so bad he started screaming, it was the first and only time i used them. The welts were all along where the elasticated edge on the nappy pants was. It left grazes a week later. I contacted naty and it was their response that dissappointed me more than anything. They said to stop using the nappies, that there was nothing wrong with the product and it was because my son must have sensitive skin... really? My son who has never had a nappy rash to date, even when we used bali nappies on him when we were there!
Not what i expected from their product or them. Very dissappointed. And very concerning that it can cause such harm in such a sensitive area on babes. And that they werent willing to investigate it further to prevent it happening to other kids.
Great BUT – Previous reviewer mentioned Naty is a great brand for allergy prone bubs and I wholeheartedly agree. We ceased a 19-month relationship with BabyLove as our little one suffered bad nappy rash following a release of new nappies. We found out about Naty through a work friend who suggested that is all he used for his boy after trying Huggies and his… Read more
young one getting nappy rash and being very sensitive.
Within a couple of days of use there was not a trace of nappy rash on our little one's bot and he's been a happy camper since - we've been using them for about a month.
The nappy is well and truly environmental friendly and it shows in the construction. It doesn't feel as robust as perhaps other brands (direct experience with Huggies, Pampers, Pigeon, Moony, Coles ComfyBots and primarily BabyLove). But out of ~250 Naty nappies that our little one went through, I've only had one critical failure where the tab tore off after I was not able to peal it off in the way every other tab was pealed off. Also, I dont get the sense that the glue on the tabs is strong enough to latch on to the front of the nappy...but we've never noticed tabs undoing themselves.
Absorption is on par with the brands I mentioned before and we have never had to deal with a catastrophic leak. That said, on occasion when our young one ate well and sometime later pooed well, the nappy's absorption capacity was stretched to its fullest limit with minor leaks. Still, it did not erode my confidence in the nappy.
There have been no issues with the nappy during night.
The only downside is that the nappies are the most expensive available in Coles or Woolies - about 20c per nappy more than Huggies and almost 40c more than Coles brand which is a premium that perhaps is not warranted to such an extent. 10c premium on Huggies could be acceptable. If anyone knows of a cheap and reliable internet spot for Naty please let me know.

So big holds well and fits well – Started using them for environmental reasons as I felt so guilty leaving my little one's pop for 500 years somewhere in a garbage dump! Was sceptical to use them overnight as they looked so thin, but it works really well. Better than Huggies and has a lot of space in the back so it doesn't leak at all. But yes it appears dissolved but as long as… Read more
the bum is dry and doesn't leak I'm not bothered. I will try composting them and see if it really works!
Great customer service – Had some issues with the nappies but customer service were great ,sent me pack of next size nappies free and it suited my baby well .:) nappies are really nice same as wipes ,so will carry on using it ;) Thanks Show details
Love them – I have been buying these for years and love them. I have successfully composted them after cutting out elastic and Velcro. Every now and then there has been a small problem with a Velcro tab tearing or similar but the customer service is second to none and I've been quickly compensated. I'll continue to buy them for years to come with a young family.

Wouldn’t use these even if they were free – Have been using environmentally friendly nappies for some time but these are almost unusable. Material is so weak that it tears constantly, they leak the moment my LO does a poo and can barely hold one wee. Next time my nappy delivery is late I’ll resort to huggies before ever using these again. Show details
Disgusting – Honestly how can you charge and arm and a leg for such rubbish nonsense nappies. I bought my son a pack of size 5, I have to change him every hour or else they leak on the sides. If he does a poo, then forget it, I need to do a whole outfit change at least twice a day. Show details
Very bad – The composition of the nappies may be good but they are breaking, leaking and get damaged very quickly and easily. They fall apart, I don’t recommend them for toddlers! Very sad Show details

Causes chemical burns – We bought several packs of Naty nappies as Bambos are difficult to find in store in our state. We went through dozens of nappies with no issue then a severe case of what looked like nappy rash when our son has never really had an issue with this in over 12 months of life. He was crying due to discomfort, but we were unsure if maybe it was a food… Read more
allergy, previous nappies had been ok. This cleared up to happen again a few weeks later but much worse with multiple blisters on his backside, waist and thighs and he was screaming in pain. These looked like chemical burns which cleared up once we stopped using Naty and we will never be going back to this "eco" brand again. Some of their nappies are ok, but I'm guessing it must have something to do with the absorbant crystals that leak and can cause skin irritation as you can visibly see the clear gel on baby's skin pulling off wet nappies in this particular brand

Crap! Tabs don’t stick and nappy falls off – The tabs on the nappys are so small and eventually the nappy falls off my son. And you can’t replace the tabs back on as it rips off the material. Show details
Don’t buy – We have used these they are terrible quality. The material is rough and doesnt absorb the wee away. They have to be changed more regularly. I would not buy them. Show details
Worst Nappies by far – We generally use cloth but buy eco disposables for overnight. We have tried a few different brands and these are the worst by a long way. They often fall apart even putting them on. Of the 5 or 6 we have used I think only 1 had been still on okay in the morning. They will be going in the bin. Show details
The worst crap and a mockery – The nappies tore each time she peed of Pooed and wriggled, first time it happened I thought it was me who didn’t put it on her properly Second time same day it tore and I saw the sides split ... soaking her baby grow and blanket Useless crap masquerading as biodegradable when it’s an excuse to create bad quality crap that we pay for
Waste of money – Bulky and uncomfortable. The inner layer dissolves after a hour or so after getting peed. The gel stuff holding the pee from getting out then leaks out onto the baby. Show details
Alternative to plastic disposable when I can't do cloth nappies! – I used these when baby was newborn and I have tried them again now that he is 11 months. I couldn't use them "as is" because the outside of the nappy gets wet but with a wool cover over the top they are pretty good. I guess that is the trade-off for not having plastic. Night cloth nappies were getting bulky & I had trouble getting a good fit on my… Read more
wriggly baby that had enough absorbancy and didn't take forever to dry. I can use these without too much guilt as they are compostable.
Love these nappies! No leaks, fit well, better for the earth – These nappies fit my 6kg, 4 month old really well. Less leaks than other brands. One nappy holds wells overnight. Just had to buy some thank yous yesterday and have already had leaks. I didn't have any problems with sticking the tabs like some other reviewers have. I also find that I use less of them than Huggies or Thank you brand. Show details
I love them but – I always avoid anything containing harsh chemicals when it comes to my children, so Naty was always my first choice for nappies however, we have had too many leaks now for it to be a one off. For £10 a pack they should be holding my child's urine and more , instead of me having to change his clothes in the middle of the night. Sadly after this pack has gone I will be looking for alternatives.
Excellent! – I love these nappies, other nappies give my twins rashes and they smell like chemicals. These are natural and breathable, no chlorine and made from renewable materials. Plus I can put them in my house waste worm farm and they get eaten up, so my babies bottoms like them and my worm farm likes them!

Disappointing – Bought these as Huggies had sold out at woollys. Don't see how these could be good for the environment as I have to use 2 of these nappies compared to 1 huggie nappy. Worse than the cheap brands. The nappies rip. Tabs don't stick well! Annoying need to be improved...
Left painful blisters on my toddler – I really wanted to fall in love with these nappies as I know how destructive for the environment disposable nappies are. Unfortunately these were terrible. They definitely don’t contain the amount of urine a healthy child produces overnight but worse yet, my daughter has been left with painful blisters on her hip from the nappies. It’s too painful… Read more
for her to wear any clothes on her bottom half now. If this is what they can do to a two year old, I hate to think what might happen to a newborn baby. Definitely do not recommend.
Not bad but could be better – I think the fact that they are white is great. Fits well under clothes and doesn't show through. However if the child aleeps through the night they get quite soggy and heavy yet they hold alright. Just wish they were cheaper. They also great for children with sensitive skin! Environmentaly friendly factor is great.
Good eco nappy – We used them from newborn and keep coming back. They are breathable and work well. They leak sometimes at night, but no probs during the day at all. They are perfume free and fairly clean for a nappy. No rash with these! Huggies leaked too at night, so I think some babies just wee a lot and they are in the same nappy at night for 11 hours or longer, so it’s almost to be expected...
Fantastic Eco nappies – Our Son would break out in rashes as a newborn (in the nappy area and face) when we used Huggies so we switched to non chemical nappies. We found Natys to be reasonably priced when purchased on special at Coles and Woolworths and the sizing to be generous. We've had minimal leaks and his skin is beautiful and clear since changing to this brand. I… Read more
would recommend Natys for children's skin and environmental reasons - they're worth the extra money!!
Diapers leak – Whilst I'm delighted about the idea of environmentally friendly nappies, I'm not convinced about the quality. Ever since I started using them I've had to change my 2 week old son's all clothes as they are soaked with pee. As I also have to wash the bedsheets more frequently than when using other brands, I doubt that using these diapers is very ecological in the end.
The worst nappies ever – I'm writing this review in the middle of the night after I've changed my 5week old soaking in wee and poo.And i changed her only 3 hours ago.I've tried 3 different brands but these ones are definitely the worst ones. This is not the first time it's happened. They are not ecological at all if you take into consideration you have to do the laundry twice as often as usually..
Many leaks, many clothing changes – I bought these as they were more eco friendly than others on the market until my bub was old enough to fit into the cloth nappies I had. Wow did they leak. Wee and poop every time I changed her. Such a shame. Wee seemed to come out the top and poop out the sides. Many loads of washing later I had to try something else!
Wonderful diapers – When I first saw these diapers I thought there's NO WAY it's going to be able to hold any urine at all because they look like they're made out of thin paper but boy was I wrong, they worked very well my little one was comfortable dry with no leakage. Babies have such sensitive skin and there was no sign of redness or irritation. Definitely a … Read more
well made diaper, they seem to control the odor much better than some of the other diapers that I have used. I did notice that they ran pretty small, I was using size one but they were more like for a newborn or almost a preemie. But even with that I would still give them an A+... thank you so much Naty ...... I Will definitely be buying box in the near future plus I want to try some of the other products as well. Thank you again sincerely
Worst Nappy I Have Tried So Far – I have tried a few eco options on the market, and have found that the Eco by Naty are the worst in terms of leaks. 4/4 of the nappies I used leaked. The tabs don't stick properly either. It's especially frustrating having to completely change a newborn and wash all of the clothes - kind of negates the eco aspect of the nappies.
I really wanted to like these – I'm always on the lookout for environmentally friendly nappies. Woolworths had free delivery for $50 so decided to try these. They don't feel great and not very absorbent. The Velcro also doesn't restick. I read the bad reviews but didn't want to believe them.... Wish I had!! Will not be buying again.
Faulty tabs – Mine had some massive faults with the tabs: these would often break if you tried to re-adjust the tabs, rendering the entire diaper useless as you wouldn't be able to hold the nappy up at all. Performance was comparable to other brands in the market so you'd essentially just be looking to to pay for the eco-friendliness etc.
These used to be so good, what happened? – I've used naty disposables on my older two children alternating with cloth and found them to be perfectly adequate and affordable eco disposables. Onto 3rd baby, and the quality has changed dramatically. We're using Size 4 for our almost 8 month old who is bigger and taller than average. The nappies don't last the night, becoming so overfull… Read more
the outer layer leaks onto clothes, bedding etc. They won't hold a decent poo, it comes straight out the back of even a firmly wrapped nappy. Lots of poo on clothes dramas. Disappointing product.
