TERRIBLE LAUNDRY LIQUID – Used this product years ago as my son had eczema when he was little. Stop using it for several years due to the cost but went back to using it a few months ago. IT HAS CAUSED MY SON'S SKIN TO BECOME VERY IRRITATED, ITCHY AND COVERED IN A RED RASH. HAS COST US A FORTUNE IN MEDICATIONS, CREAMS ETC. DO NOT USE THIS LAUNDRY LIQUID. I NOW WASH HIS CLOTHES ETC IN WATER AND VINEGAR.
The best washing liquid – I have used front loading washing machines for almost 50 years (I lived in the UK for 10 years) and in recent years have become fed up with the overpriced and over suds washing liquids produced by the leading manufacturers. About a month ago, I came across the Purity Sensitive at one of the Reject Shops on the Sunshine Coast and decided to… Read more
purchase.
To say I am pleased with the result is an understatement. It is by far the best washing liquid I have ever used in my front loader. Our clothes are soft, clean and don’t irritate. The towels and sheets as well. My skin is sensitive and reacts very quickly; but not to Purity Sensitive Washing Liquid. My clothes and my husband's look so clean. I highly recommend and will continue to buy.
Perfect for the whole family – As I’ve several family members with sensitive skin, and after having a new baby a few years ago, I switched to purity laundry liquid for the family and still use it. Love the light fragrance it has a it’s easy on the clothes. Show details

Love it, wouldn’t use any other!! – I was the biggest fan of OMO. I’m very skeptical about what I use. Then five years ago I changed to this product and haven’t looked back. Not only is it economical (4litres is approx $13…yay), the scent is not overbearing, the quality of washed clothes is maintained, it helped with my sensitive skin considering my list of allergies is a mile long… Read more
and it doesn’t stop at itchy skin. It’s no science that we all react differently to products, it’s not a one size fits all. This products works for me, it may not for you but I recommend to try it yourself.
The best sensitive washing liquid I’ve used – I had been using OMO and was wondering why I developed rashes all over my legs that stayed for weeks with nothing getting rid of it and thought maybe it’s OMO. 2 wks of using this sensitive washing liquid my rashes slowly went away and my child wasn’t itchy anymore either. I love the quality and price. Will always buy this. Show details
Got rid of period stains 2 days after , dealing with eczema – I was hesitate to use this due to other reviews , I deal with eczema so Want to only use things that won’t affect me , I thought why not , and used it , have used it for the last month for a weekly clothes wash and linen wash, as the title suggest, it got rid of period stains that had been left for two days which is a big win for me , I haven’t… Read more
dealt with any rashes or hives and so far just very very happy with this product , and for half the price of what I normally use as well which makes my wallet happy, i use the fabric softener as well which leaves a nice smell , unsure of what smell it leaves without it

Causes rashes – Have been using other sensitive product that was not available so tried Purity Sensitive Laundry Liquid. Luckily on a blanket before using on clothes. First it had a fragrance which was unusual for a sensitive. (Would not have bought just on this) Then it caused rash, heat & pins & needles on skin just during washing. Writing this to warn others. Would NOT recommend. Esp to people who are sensitive. Show details
Doesn't cause a reaction but useless at actually cleaning clothes – I begrudgingly use this because it is the only laundry detergent that doesn't cause me to have an allergic reaction. For that I give it 3 stars. However, it is useless at actually cleaning my clothes. They all come out still smelling like BO in the armpits, even after I spray extra on those areas. I changed products and didn't have that problem,… Read more
but had to change back to Purity because so far it is the only detergent that doesn't make me itch, so I am stuck with it.
Worse liquid ever – I buy sensitive skin powders and liquids mainly due to the fact that they don't have the overpowering smell that I find many of the perfumed ones have. I have never actually had a skin reaction till I used this "sensitive" product. I have had itchiness mainly on my head and neck so decided to do a patch test on my wrist yesterday. Woke up with itchy hives this morning on the patch so there's no doubt it is from this product. Show details

Best liquid ever a great Aussie made product – My daughter struggled with terrible skin rashes until I discovered Purity, been using it for four years, it is plant-based and low in phosphates and so it appears so far to work best with our new septic system, win-win. Washes clothes much better than the other brands. Good price and smells great too. Very shocked to see that other people aren't… Read more
having a wonderful experience, I have had with this product must be your skin type? We have had the complete opposite experience been fabulous. I felt I should share my experience as this is truly a great Australian made product for my family's sensitive skin. I would be devasted to see this product go as nothing else comes close to it for value, quality and sensitivity.
This is my preferred brand of all the sensitive products – I’ve been using this for several years now and it is by far the least irritating for my skin. Recently they added a fragrance which I’d prefer not to have but I haven’t had a reaction to it. It’s a good price and works well, I always use half the recommended amount so it lasts twice as long although my clothes don’t get that dirty, with children you may need to use more. Show details
Severe case of hives from this horribly not so sensitive laundry liquid – I've been to the doctor with a severe case of hives after wearing underpants and jeans that I washed using this. I'm in so much discomfort. This product should be taken off the market. I've never had such a strong reaction to a product before and this is why I'm writing this. It's unbelievable. Show details
Gave me itchy eyes! – I used it some years ago for my baby, so decided (against the bad reviews) to get it since we just had another baby. Big mistake! Triggered some reaction and i end up with hyper itchy eyes and couldnt stop tearing. Stopped using and symptoms went away. The symptoms came back tonight and I realise its coz Im wearing a top that my husband had… Read more
washed with the purity detergent! Cant stop tearing now in spite of antihistamines.

Amazing! So efficient and gentle to skin and nose! – I use this product for more than 5 years, it’s the only product I use for the entire family, it cleans perfectly and it feels that is made so cleverly with ingredients that makes so natural and powerful! Thanks Purity! Love the softener too! Five stars easy! Show details
Do not buy!! – After purchasing and washing my clothes I have all of sudden broken out in hives and my newborn has broken out in a rash. Was racking my brain as to why but it’s the only thing that has changed. Suppose to be hypoallergenic, hmmm. Show details
One word: Hives – I am horrified to think that this is being used for babies clothes! My partner (who doesn’t usually have sensitive skin) has broken out in severely red and itchy hives all over his body after I decided to try out this detergent because it was quite cheap yet claimed to be hypoallergenic and seemingly free of everything nasty. Worst decision! Do… Read more
yourself a favour and spend a bit more money on higher quality brands.
This product should be recalled.
Rash after changed formula – I have used this washing liquid for the past 3years and loved it on my baby clothes and never had an issue until the formula changed. My skin is so itchy ans covered in a rash over my lower back. My 5month old has also reacted. I am so dissapointed and will be looking for a new product. I loved how this cleaned our clotges and did a great job of removing mild stains
Best laundry liquid for sensitive skin – I have used purity laundry liquid for many years, I'm allergic to so many things and I don't react at all to this product, I'm the first to say it probably doesn't remove stains perfectly but the peace it gives my skin and mind is well worth it, it's so cheap and I just use a little pure soap and rub if I get a stain, couldn't recommend it more for sensitive skin!
I will continue to buy this laundry liquid – I bought this laundry liquid to try as my bub's skin is sensitive. After reading other people's review, I was a bit hesitant to buy but because I always like to try new things, I bought one bottle and tried on adult clothes only. My husband, and myself did not react to this so I tried on my bub's clothes and nothing happened. I love the smell,… Read more
not so strong and has light baby smell. I am very satisfied with purity and will buy a big bottle next time when I go grocery shopping.
Severe allergic reaction to this “hypoallergenic” formula – Hypoallergenic? Sensitive?? My whole body is covered in hives from this product! On antihistamines 4 times a day and a strong cortisone cream. This is NO GOOD for sensitive skin! AVOID!!!! Have loved Nature’s Organics regular laundry liquid for years and thought I would give this a go.. Big mistake! Two weeks of itchy red torture. I would not recommend this to anyone...
Useless – Bought this for washing baby's clothes. The whole wash still smells of baby poo once it's done. And it has optical brighteners so leaves a residue on the fabric. Not so good for sensitive skin.
Absolute Rubbish – Makes me itchy all over, Imagine what its doing to some poor babies. They should be sued for selling such a terrible product, where's the minus 50 stars button. Stick with OMO or some other more expensive better brand.

never regret for it – I have easily allergic with some laundry wash been using this product for a year and never change. the fragrance, smell is great not too much strong and I like it
The New 'Improved' version is very disappointing – I have been using this product for many years and absolutely loved it, it was the only laundry liquid that didn't give me a rash, I tend to have very sensitive skin, but the 'New Improved' version makes me itchy all over and I'm so frustrated that they have changed the formula! why didn't they just leave it the way it was? it was perfect before they changed it! Now I have to search for another brand that is skin friendly :-(
Doesn't clean and gives bub a rash! – I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and my bub has suddenly become covered top to toe in a rash! Our clothes aren't clean and look dirty still. Will never buy again.
Love this product for my family's washing – I don't find the fragrance offensive and it doesn't irritate the skin of my baby either. I think it's a great product at a fantastic price point for the whole family.
Horrible laundry liquid – I used to love Purity Sensitive Laundry Liquid and used It for years. It was the only one I could use on clothes and towels which didn't have an adverse reaction on my skin. Then I started becoming itchy all the time. I explored all options for this problem and then realised it was the new 'improved' version of this Laundry Liquid that makes my… Read more
skin constantly itchy and now I have constant red blotches on my face, neck and body. I am horrified that this liquid claims to have a 'hypoallergenic' fragrance - and that it may attract other unsuspecting customer. Now I use the rest of the bottles I bought to clean the toilet, it must have some strong ingredients because the toilet has never looked so clean! Never buying this laundry liquid again - and will tell everyone I know not to use it either.
Horrible Fragrance – I've used Purity for long time, specifically because it WAS sensitive. But since the change, the fragrance you now add. I cannot use. Please go back to old formula. The fragrance is no use & irritates skin.
Don't fix it if it ain't broke – Have been a great fan of the Purity range ever since I can remember despite cheaper products on the market. The new fragrance is offensive and irritating and lingers around all day on clothes. Who wants to smell of fabric softner? The older version barely had any fragrance other than a pleasant clean and fresh smell. After using up some older stack I had on hand I have changed to another brand.
Blotchy, red, itchy skin – I have used this laundry detergent for a few years now, but something has changed. Like everyone else, it was great for sensitive skin, but made my psoriasis not only worse, but it spread over my back, making it very sore and itchy. My husband has also developed an itchy rash. Also, I found after showering that the towels would not absorb water… Read more
as well while drying myself. It felt like most of my body was still wet. My eyes have been watering for months now, and am putting it down to this detergent as well.
Used to be good. New formula causes skin rash and migraines. Should be recalled – I've used this product for years. Since the change in formula my son's eczema has returned and now his eyes have been swollen too. The smell gives me a headache and irritates my airways. Bring back the old formula. For now, I'm switching to Amolin or Bosistos.
New Hypoallergenic Fragrance – Natures Organics Purity Sensitive Laundry Liquid has changed it's formula and now has a new hypoallergenic fragrance which is overpowering and has caused me adverse skin reactions. It used to be a fabulous product, with negligible smell and it got clothes really clean. I don't know why they wanted to fix something that wasn't broken. I have… Read more
contacted the company and they have been most polite, saying that they have now reduced the fragrance, but it is still too strong and caused skin irritation, once again. I would not recommend this product be used for anyone who has sensitive skin, regardless of the label.
Clothes washing liquid - Caused itchy red rash – Why would they change a product aimed at people with sensitive skin? I've never had an adverse reaction to anything before, I used it for my young children, but I have a very painful red rash on my arms, belly and legs. It took weeks to work out it was from this washing liquid as I hadn't knowingly changed anything in my routine, my doctor… Read more
prescribed cream to soothe the itching but couldn't clear it up without knowing the trigger. I am now rewashing everything in the house, which will take ages with a family of four, to eliminate this product from clothes, towels, linen. It's disgusting they have changed the ingredients when people rely on this product to be sensitive.
Put it back the way it was!!! – For many years we've used both the laundry liquid and the conditioner as we have very ill family members and any strong smells can bed rid them for a week. Purity was good. It cleaned the clothes, low to almost no smell, cost effect. Well you changed it and last week my daughter called in a mess, she had opened a new bottle and the smell put… Read more
her on the floor, she was crawling....yes crawling to the lounge chair. Her day now gone. My husband has CFS and we've had to give it all away to the neighbours. We're now trying ECO brand.
Watery – Last 3 bottles have been watery spoke to other people they don't like this now and some are getting rashes on them. My daughter has eczema so won't be using till told differently. NOT HAPPY
