Cheap, trendy knob is just a gimmick – I bought this microwave as the knob appealed to me, it looked quite trendy compared to the press button types, however soon realised its quicker to press the buttons than fiddle with the knob. KNOB: to use this as a timer you first have to press the power button and choose the heat setting (it comes on as 100% with one press) then you twirl the know for number of seconds/minutes you want to heat, then press start.
Heat: you twirl the knob to get heat settings (100%, 80, 60, 40) The heat seems quite mild compared to other machines i have had so defrosting takes some time.
Timer: i have found it quicker to press the start button for immediate 30 second start, pressing again gets another 30 secs, so i usually just press it a few times to get the time I need. i never use the knob
BEEP: it has a regular beep sound like most microwaves do. i was expecting something electronic or fancy but it isn't.
I have had this 3 years, it has been reliable, everything still works and it hasn't gone rusty or anything. Was quite cheap but looks expensive Heat is quite mild, takes long time to defrost, Knob is just a gimmick
